  • Mookid Man, you have some interesting taste here. Probably the first user I've seen on this site that listens to Reggae (or as much as you do, for that matter). Got any good recs for a beginner to the genre? Reggae is pretty much the only genre I haven't spent time with, so got any good recommendations (other than Bob Marley if you can, lol). I've listened to Matisyahu though (if he even counts), and he's pretty good

  • musicfan44 I just wanted to let you know that your reviews are amazing. You should work for Rolling Stone...just saying! Have you heard the new Barefoot Truth album? It's called Carry Us On...they re-did a bunch of the songs off their first album. To be honest I am not a fan of the over production...the songs were so great the way they were. Anyway would love to see a review on that album from you. Keep up the great work. Peace!

  • alachlahol i'm assuming you've heard of The Expendables, but if you haven't, look up their self-titled album. they mix a laid back reggae groove and then bust out some kickass metal guitar solos. really cool band. they're touring with Slightly Stoopid right now

  • Bulldog Because, you're #137 in terms of site rank, and you know good hip-hop. You see, hip-hop is misrepresented on the site, and last time I checked, only 10% of the last 200 user reviews were of hip-hop.

  • MUNGOLOID idk if you knew this (or care) but rollingstone and spin gave "the adventures of bobby ray" 2.5's.

  • alachlahol i was looking up some Burning Spear for more albums as all i have is Man In The Hills and saw you as the main contributor. checking out your profile, you are the s***. would you mind reccing me some essential reggae albums? i'll probably make a list to see who else has some good suggestions but if you could provide with a few it would be greatly appreciated

  • EVedder27 Yeah it was the first time I heard it live. A lot of people started heading out after Watchtower, and it was funny to see all of them turn around when Halloween started.

  • EVedder27 I saw them for two nights in Saratoga this summer. I go every year and their shows just seem to get better every time. They ended with Watchtower and Halloween the second night and it was crazy.
