| DarkNoctus that's really appreciated - i'm hoping it translates in the final product. lanterns was an easier song because it wasn't as dense. whatever i have to do to get this album to sound right will be worth it.

| DarkNoctus i have no idea, not heard it. i got this promo through and listened out of pure curiosity so this is my first experience with them. it's rather subdued for a melodeath album but i quite like that for some reason.

Sorry for the late reply, I had a busy weekend and wanted to wait to read it until I had the time to do so without having to rush through it. But yeah, you did a nice job of expanding on all your points and still mentioned the positive aspects of the album, so I don't think it was overly harsh. Feel free to post it whenever, it's more concrete than what I had come up with and I doubt I'm still reviewing it since I basically agree with you.

| Atari hey man, I'm sure it reads fine but let me know if you want me (or someone else) to take a look at it. I had written a couple paragraphs as well, but wasn't too happy with them. If we had entirely different takes on the album I'd probably still review it, but since we sorta see eye-to-eye on this one I think it's in better hands with the insomnium connoisseur.

| Atari yeah that's a bummer...hopefully it grows on you some more. I think I agree about it being their second worst after one for the sorrow as well. none of their stuff quite touches above the weeping world and since the day it all came down for me personally. It's hard to write about because it's not really bad by any means, I just know it could have been much better. Oh well, at least there's that new Be'Lakor album (really starting to love that one).

Check out Wildernessking - Mystical Future if you want something kinda similar to falls of rauros (the vocals remind me of falls of rauros quite a bit). nothing that hasn't been done before, but I'm liking it

 | VinVal Thats precisely why i asked, I have sunbather at 5 and I feel it deserves it. Maybe im biased because it clicked with me during some of the greatest days of my life and until this day it brings me back to that same time/place. But i just cant see how the songs are poorly written or stagnant when compared to their debut, i mean i feel like its a natural progression of their sound on RtJ, albeit with some GY!BE worship thrown in. But I was just curious cause everyone thinks its cool to hate on it
