    November 30 05:39 AM
  • Trundle Hey man, hope you?re doing well, I was rallying for the last 3 or 4 months, I still was getting flagged on the same things in my bloodwork, but the numbers were going down, unfortunately my platelets spiked 100 points last month, and another 40 this week, I?ve finally surpassed the threshold my hematologist told me about, I got no idea what?s going to happen now, I don?t have much strength at this point,
    November 29 09:27 PM
  • Hawks Bro at this point GTA won't be out until 2032 lmao.

  • Kimm Is that like...Ponoka?
    August 13 01:18 AM
  • Kimm Lol! What part of Alberta were you in?
    August 11 02:11 PM
  • Trundle Hey man, hope you?re doing well, I?m still waiting on a ct scan, got more bloodwork next week, been dealing with some heart issues, arrhythmia, etc, it?s hereditary, i have to eat more salt and that?s helping, always thought salt was bad for your heart haha. In good news, i was able to get a cortisone shot, which has helped a ton with the pain,
    August 9 10:09 PM
  • Kimm Still alive m/
    August 9 08:07 PM
  • Trundle Man, idk, I?ve lost 10 lbs in 4 days, it?s quite hard to look on the bright side
    June 1 07:27 PM
  • Trundle So, the verdict is I have to get a special type of ct scan, unlike any I have had before, there was a lot of medical jargon in the report that I did not understand, I see my gp next week so hopefully I can get the ball rolling on that
    May 29 07:32 PM
  • Trundle Got my appointment with the rheumatologist on the 15th, my appointment was triaged as urgent so yay for that. The last few weeks have been rough, lost 10 pounds in 5 days two weeks ago, never seen that drastic weight loss that fast before, here we fuuckin go
    May 9 07:54 PM
  • unclereich Hello old buddy we?re talking about you on the ?how many of us are left? list. You?re an og. The Ovi goal reminded me of you.
    April 14 12:14 AM
  • unclereich you never stop by and say hello anymore :/
    April 5 11:53 AM
  • Trundle It feels so absurd, getting adequate medical care felt like arguing a court case,
    April 4 12:39 AM
  • Trundle Got referred to a rheumatologist, last week the hematologist asked if I?ve seen one, so here we go again
    April 4 12:08 AM
  • Trundle Oof, just had blood work yesterday, my crp more than doubled so now it?s more than 6x the high end of normal, hopefully I?ll be more informed going forward cause eff man, I feel weak.
    April 2 08:38 PM
  • Trundle so yeah, it's still frustrating in that they don't know the cause of it all, but at least now i know there is someone there who is actually concerned and wants to monitor it. trying not to think about bone marrow biopsy's haha, one of my friends actually donated bone marrow once, may try to track him down and ask about his experience.
    March 28 09:30 PM
  • Trundle anyway it was very vindicating to talk to a doctor who echoed my concerns. she said that she believe my high platelet count isn't a primary cause of my problems but it is reacting to something else going wrong in my body, which again is kinda frustrating in that i have to basically no idea what the causation is, but i am still anemic, so yeah, a bone marrow biopsy seems to be on the table if my platelets go up another 50-100, last test i had was 550,
    March 28 07:07 AM
  • Trundle well i saw the hematologist, and she was really good, she said she was worried about my unusual high platelet count going back years, she's somewhat concerned about my bone marrow, which apparently i have about a 40 percent chance of being what's wrong, but my platelets have been high going back 3 - 4 years at this point, so i'm to get regular bloodtests, she also raised a concern about lupus, one that i had very much considered myself, but my gp couldn't give half a shyt.
    March 28 07:01 AM
  • Hawks Gotta look that up for s***s and gigs lol.
    March 16 03:02 AM
  • Hawks WHAT???? Lmao I have not.
    March 16 02:53 AM
  • Hawks He really is.
    March 16 02:13 AM
  • Hawks Looks cool gonna have to jam buddy.
    March 16 01:57 AM
  • Hawks Sign me up!!!!!
    March 16 01:27 AM
  • Hawks Literally today lmaoooo. And no way your my fav I will always love you!!!
    March 15 01:57 AM
  • Trundle lol, I haven?t even met her yet, but already I appreciate her way more than my gp as she was the one who ordered my cancer screening, ultrasound, and all the other tests I had done at the hospital, so she?s already done a lot of good stuff for me haha,
    March 9 12:14 AM
  • Trundle Ill find out when I see the hematologist I think, i have been checking my results of the cancer screening, but they have not been posted but i think that may be policy as I don?t think they?d want people to get bad news like that online with no context. I do hope a lot of things are able to be addressed, I?m worried if I have cirrhosis, I?m anemic again, whole lotta boogeymen out there to worry about,
    March 7 07:33 PM
  • Trundle It?s been a long week man, and got the cancer screening done last week, they found a boat load of stuff effed up with me, still waiting to get my screening results from Vancouver, very frustrating, just got an ultrasound of my spleen done, my doc has me on 50 mg of prednisone and I am zonked out of my freaking gourd and the prednisone isn?t even helping. Seeing the hematologist at the end of the month, broken dreams and no ice creams i tell ya what

  • Hawks WOOOOOO!!!!!
    January 31 05:54 AM
  • Hawks Yes!!!
    January 31 05:32 AM
  • Trundle lol that?s what a hernia is, I have a one inch hole in my stomach, so acid gets out and messes with organs, tbh it hasn?t been explained to me either, I haven?t been seen by the specialist since the endoscopy where they found the hole, he took some samples, basically he just did the procedure fast and efficiently and left as soon as they took out the tube in my mouth, he probably has to do a ton of procedures a day and would wait until the results were in before the sit down
    January 19 02:41 AM
  • Trundle I think the discovery of the hole in my stomach helped.
    January 18 11:35 PM
  • Trundle MRI later this month, got the news today
    January 15 05:18 AM
  • Trundle Good news: I just found out I have an appointment with a hematologist in march and they are getting me to do the cancer screenings and what not before hand, bad news: I found out I have a hereditary blood clot disorder
    January 13 09:00 PM
  • Trundle We can rebuild him, we have the technology
    December 21 09:16 PM
  • Trundle So, I got a date for the next procedure and the results of the first one are in, tbh I don't really understand it all, but I have a hernia in my stomach and they confirmed some other things that were going on which I don't really know the implications of, trying to keep it all on the back burner until I have completed everything.
    December 17 11:38 PM
  • Trundle yeah, it definitely feels like it's a more direct approach, still have to wait for the results from last week though too, so i don't have an exact time table about when i'll be seen again yet, but the doc definitely conveyed that it would happen in a somewhat timely fashion
    December 14 05:16 AM
  • Trundle hey, yeah, i got it done, wasn't as bad as the first time, doc said i have to do another procedure, so idk yet.
    December 14 04:11 AM
  • Trundle Tomorrow, so pretty nervous right now, I have really slowed down in the last few weeks and have no appetite, hoping to get some answers in the coming weeks.
    December 5 03:30 AM
  • Trundle They said it could take up to 3 weeks to get the results, and either the specialist will contact me himself, if it's real bad news, otherwise I will hear from my gp. The clerical worker who called, said that the doctor had reviewed my file and wanted to see me, so kinda a good news bad news type thing. GI docs triage their patients, and this was my most recent referral, so it was surprising to hear from them first, so that messes with ur noggin.
    December 2 12:03 AM
  • Trundle lol, yeah, ngl kinda nervous, but whatcha gonna do
    December 1 09:56 PM
  • Hyperion1001 im surprised they allowed it yeah

    November 30 03:53 AM
  • Hawks It was friggin stupid. My aunt had a major plumbing problem pop up the morning of and completely ruined our plans. She still cooked but didn't get to see a lot of the fam. -_- How was yours buddy???
    November 30 03:50 AM
  • Trundle lol, freakin auto correct, meant to say hells bells lol
    November 29 04:06 AM
  • Trundle Hello bells, I just got in on a cancelation to see a GI for am endoscopy next week!
    November 26 07:23 PM
  • Hawks I would do that just for you!!
    November 7 04:22 AM
  • Hawks Ily!!
    November 6 05:50 AM
  • Hawks I will be moving to Canada if Kamala wins but she is currently getting her ass kicked as she should be!!
    November 6 02:12 AM
  • Trundle Said the same thing lol
    November 6 01:49 AM
  • Trundle Basically confirmed I would be low in queue because of my age. Told me that there are ways to expedite normal visits with my gp. I've been going through depersonalization again these last few weeks, so I don't really have any feelings atm, so eh, at this point, it was better than nothing.
    November 6 01:43 AM
  • Trundle yeah, like, the nurse was good, she didn't try to downplay my situation at all, and it's just very frustrating to have politics have control over such a decision.
    November 6 01:38 AM
  • Trundle Ya, like the middle of the island doesn't have an ER at night, frustrating conversation with MAID today, but I was expecting it, basically until I get a confirmed diagnosis that is a confirmed terminal ailment, I won't qualify, which is so frustrating when you have been going through this close to 2 years now, and still haven't seen a single specialist. I've got 3 referrals though, but unfortunately they can't get me seen faster. Basically it comes down to politics,
    November 6 01:14 AM
  • Trundle I have thought about moving before, my biggest worry is finding a pharmacy that carries all my medications, I'm on some "older" meds that aren't typically used anymore, my current pharmacy is super good in that regard, if I were to move to the mainland I'd probably have to reach out to some pharmacies to let them know in advance. After collapsing in 2021, and getting my most serious concussion as an adult, which left me unable to speak for weeks, I'm a lot more weary about going out on my own
    November 3 09:39 PM
  • Hawks Now you are!!
    November 3 03:11 AM
  • Hawks Glad to talk to you in all seriousness. I miss you immensely. :[
    November 2 03:15 PM
  • Trundle yeah man, it's absolutely out of control
    October 31 01:15 AM
  • Trundle dude its so out of control at this point, i used to live a little outside downtown, the park outside my place had become a tent city, there were some totally out of control people, screaming at nothing, was pretty scary taking my dog out for his last walk of the day sometimes. also, a dude like a quarter block up the street got murdered. he lived at a house i walked by every night with my dog, they still haven't caught the guy.
    October 31 12:57 AM
  • Trundle Dude, there are homeless at every median downtown, it is unreal, they have spread out so far too, it really got bad after the 2010 Olympics, Vancouver let the homeless ride the ferry for free to victoria, pretty much every park anywhere near downtown becomes a tent encampment, it's rough man, the government hasn't done anything meaningful to resolve it
    October 27 07:15 PM
  • Hawks LMAOOOO WTF IS UP BUDDY???
    October 26 04:27 AM
  • Hawks I NEVER RECEIVED THEM YOU OBVIOUSLY SENT THEM TO SOMEONE ELSE!!
    October 26 12:59 AM
  • Trundle Ololololol
    October 24 04:36 AM
  • Hawks I MISS YOU LOTS!!!
    October 24 02:37 AM
  • Hawks Uhhhhhhh hello??????
    October 18 05:42 AM
  • Trundle Yeah, I know it's really not a big deal, just hoping I get some anasthetic haha
    October 14 03:27 AM
  • Trundle yeah man, it sounds so farfetched that its this hard to get healthcare, i guess im lucky in that a former neighbor is a GI doc, so he told me what tests to get, and im really not looking forward to getting my first colonoscopy but that is what he recommended, so yeah, its really frustrating knowing what tests i need done, but being at the mercy of the public system, there doesn't seem to be a way to expedite the process, hopefully things change in november,
    October 13 10:29 PM
  • Trundle I think because I'm only 32, it really puts me at a lower priority, and having a totally uninvested gp, who withheld a lot of information, and was very slow to act, just totally put me in the back of queue. I heard that the GI's triage their referrals, so if they see my other referrals there's a chance I'll be seen sooner by a GI. But jeepers creepers man, it really shouldn't be this hard.
    October 13 01:24 AM
  • Trundle yeah, i really hope that the nurse i see in november will somehow be able to expedite the referral process as she will see first hand what i'm going through, i actually went to the emergency room one night a couple months ago, but in the time i was waiting, the wait time jumped from 4.5 hours to 7.5 hours, and a woman sitting near me just broke down in hysterics, i just couldnt stay there all night,
    October 12 03:46 AM
  • Trundle im still waiting to see the specialist in the first place, it's been almost 2 years now, the lump in my neck is back, my throat closes without warning, i was referred to a hematologist in may or june, they said it would be a 6 to 9 month wait, got an mri requisition in early september, again 6 - 9 month wait, and now a referall to a GI, it feels like a comedy of errors at this point, because the new symptoms that started appearing a couple months ago they say tell your doctor asap, still waiting
    October 12 02:06 AM
  • Trundle Yeah man, life's a bitch, I'm trying to find ways to be positive, but like when I do finally see a specialist, chances are that things have progressed to a point that isn't reversible, and if I tried, would putting myself through chemo be worth the time I'd be getting in return? Eff man, all these things just suck.but I'm trying to be positive, the whole idea of MAID is quite scary and part of me really is second guessing, but the alternative is to ignore the obstacles and hope like a fool
    October 12 01:07 AM
  • Trundle Update: so my condition has continued to deteriorate, and new symptoms point to either esophageal or gastric cancer, so I got another referral to a GI doc last week, but today I got a call from MAID, and I'll be getting an evaluation in November, so there's that. It is insane that in Canada you'll be seen faster for MAID, than having referrals to a hematologist, an mri, and a GI.
    October 8 09:25 PM
  • Trundle was put on this new pain killer yesterday, has me pretty loopy haha, but i'm sure i'll get used to it, and hopefully won't need it for very long.
    August 24 05:21 AM
  • Trundle Nah, these days I'm not as interested in PokerStars, I mean I used to fiend it so I've had my fill. I think the last time I was on it was 2017 or 2018, but I lost interest pretty quickly.
    August 21 02:42 AM
  • Trundle There was this one guy I only played with a couple times, I knew him from highschool but never liked him, the first time he tried to play, he kept lying saying he bought in, when he clearly didn't, everyone else did and it was a cash game,so before we even started, we went through like 45min of him playing dumb. So I just left, you can't trust those people in cash games, the second time we played at the end of the night when we cashed out the pot didn't match the money, my buddy had to pay xtra
    August 21 12:33 AM
  • Trundle The casino was nuts, the game was so fast, I really wasn't used to that many players and trying to factor the odds and stuff, basically I was out after the first 6 hands, cause I was unlucky enough to start as the small blind, and then big blind, so it was basically over for me before it started, also it was pretty messed up seeing all these kids running around while their parents are losing all their money, i didn't want to catch the gambling bug, so I just left,
    August 21 12:10 AM
  • Trundle Lol I used to do PokerStars all the time when I was a kid, at one point I had over 100k free chips haha, but now you can have only one account per email, and I've forgotten my password and am too lazy to make a new one, I always would do well playing poker with friends, I went to a casino once in the states, and I only bought in with 60 bucks, which meant I was almost out after a couple of blinds, I went all in with like 25 bucks haha, and busted. Never played with 12 ppl before
    August 20 11:31 PM
  • Trundle Lol, I actually bought the special edition cod back that included the original modern warfare, so no op kill streaks, I got so hyped when I got my first chopper, but it got very frustrating, my reaction time was really slow, and it just got to he not fun, so I don't have the online subscription to Sony, cause I don't want to pay 20 a month for something I don't use, I game Chell, though I didn't get the newest one since I heard it was garbage, NBA 2k4, skyrim, fallout 4, those kind
    August 20 10:23 PM
  • Trundle Haha, no, I still have my ps4, but I don't really game anymore, ever since I started parkinsons meds, my reaction time has been awful so I am horrible at gaming. Also, I found that on the days I do game for an hour or so, it makes sleeping much harder, so if I do play something like, it's like once every few weeks,
    August 20 06:15 PM
  • Trundle for posterity: https://imgur.com/a/4Mzh6BO
    August 20 05:08 AM
  • Trundle Yeah man, maybe when I have more strength, I'm pretty much house bound atm, I'm completely exhausted 3 hours after I wake up, most days. I'm doing my best to build my strength, but an injury I got from kickboxing like 11 or 12 years ago has me hobbling around, broke my big toe, and I rolled my other ankle recently and now have a bone sticking out the side of my other foot, and my sports doc is in Ontario atm, so I can't be on my feet for very long right now
    August 20 04:56 AM
  • Trundle Lol no worries hahaha, no I don't have any kids, I've never wanted to be a parent.
    August 20 02:46 AM
  • Trundle Yeah, they said they have a very long wait list. And considering my age, being relatively young, it would be harder to get a doctor to sign off. They also mentioned that there are very few doctors on the island willing to do assessments because of all the politics around this issue, which pisses me off, how politics have been injected into everything nowadays. But yeah, I got a nurse practioner assigned to me, but I'll need to wait awhile for the second opinion from the doctor,
    August 20 12:39 AM
  • Trundle welp, i got a call from the people at MAID today, they told me there is a long wait list, and they are unsure if I would qualify, but I was referred for an assessment, which is what i really want the most, but again, she told me it would also be a long wait for that as well,
    August 19 10:19 PM
  • Trundle Hahaha, actually in highschool it was like 90% white kids, we had some Asian kids, one of my best buds was half thai, the other was Chinese, we only had like 7 black kids in the entire school, my buddy from Jamaica was 7ft tall, made it to the nba d league, There was very little diversity then, nowadays it's much more like Vancouver.
    August 19 01:18 AM
  • Trundle Lol, we went to high school together, it was a pretty big one too, a little over 1500 students. But yeah, I was also surprised as to how many people had relocated here following the events in their homeland. I met most after we had graduated, it's a small world!
    August 19 12:29 AM
  • Trundle Haha, yeah man, my friends in highschool were all about the 90's underground scene, I really don't know how they got into it, I think it was through people they gamed with online but idk, my Albanian friend fled Kosova from the Serbian genocide, so he and his cousins moved here in the 90's, really cool guys, ruff n rugged, aint no half steppin to them. I met so many people from all over the Balkans, they got some fine hunnies there I tell ya hwhat
    August 18 02:51 AM
  • Trundle Haha, that just made me think of the intro to Dr. Dre's "rat-at-at"
    August 18 12:26 AM
  • Trundle unfortunately, that seems to be the case more often than not, lots of arbitrary lines drawn in the side based on feelings rather than facts.
    August 17 03:51 AM
  • Trundle Lol yeah, the whole no touching rule kinda defeats the purpose. Like I think the people who made these rules thought this was progressive, but all they did is make a bunch of people unemployed.
    August 16 10:57 PM
  • Trundle It's been like 8 years since the last place closed, kinda ridiculous, but not surprising in victoria, by the end I think the government put so much restrictions in that the business couldn't succeed.
    August 16 02:20 AM
  • Trundle Haha, I hate clubs too, it's so loud, I even bought custom musician earplugs to dampen the sound, it felt so much louder when you're sober than when you come in drunk. We don't even have a ripper joint anymore, haven't for years, I'd only been there a few times but it was good for a laugh, my friend who I handed the flashlight to when I was facing down the guy with the knife, my friend invested 10k into making his club be part club / peeler. But no one came, closed down, like the club I worked
    August 15 11:01 PM
  • Trundle Honestly, fights in the club weren't that common, most nights were fairly uneventful, kicking out really drunk people, the biggest fights happened on the street, we even had to sign a document about a "no hit" policy which is so absurd, we found ways to work around it obvs, once the owner admonished me for not smiling enough, we had to wear dress shirts pants and shoes too, not what you want when shizz pops off.
    August 15 06:20 PM
  • Trundle I think people thought I was in a gang or something, cause I never got hit once lol, probably cause I shaved my head. One night though at closing time, this guy was clearly looking for trouble, and tried to stare me down, I hit him with the thousand yard stare which made him change his tune, luckily I was able to pass my flashlight to a friend who was also a bouncer who was able to flag down back up, anyway, the dude has a knife on him,
    August 15 03:12 AM
  • Trundle Lol, yeah dude, staff parties were insane, they were like porn parties, bartenders / servers would go topless / naked, the most beautiful woman I've ever met, was walking around topless, felt like my mind was going to melt, I was the youngest bouncer, started when I was 20, quit when I was 22. Lots of weird situations, one couple tried to pick me up. It was really uncomfortable, she was openly flirting with me right infront on her bf, rubbing my chest, then they both stared at me for 30min
    August 15 03:04 AM
  • Trundle Some take it personally when you say you can't spend the night, and they assume you only want a one hitter quitter, but it's not like I want to tell someone I barely know all of this, so it's pretty frustrating. You don't want to scare dem white wimmen away, especially since I'm not a fan of randumb hookups, I learned this from being a bouncer years ago, one girl is still stalking me to this day, I just kissed her on the cheek once
    August 15 02:45 AM
  • Trundle Lmao, yeah tbh, it has made relationships harder, sharing a bed never used to be a problem, but when things started getting more intense, I was worried about hurting the gal in my sleep, some people have actually murdered their partner during a night terror. And it's frustrating cause there's a certain implication that some women think if you don't spend the night, and like you don't want to dump all this on someone in the beginning of a relationship,
    August 15 02:39 AM
  • Trundle Yeah, sleep has been a major problem for me for a long time now, either I don't sleep at all or I deal with the night terrors / sleep paralysis, the middle ground is hard to stay in for some reason. I once went a full weak with only an hour and and a half of sleep, which I had after being awake for two straight days, then I was up for 5 straight days, it sucks d00d
    August 15 02:20 AM
  • Trundle For me, I sometimes will have a bit of a memory of a nightmare, but not being able to wake up, most of the time I can't really recall anything, ill just wake up with chills from the sweat, weakness, etc, it really sets the tone of the rest of the day, it's gotten worse over time unfortunately, and even if it's not terrifying, you still lose control of your body, once I dreamt I was playing basketball and blocked a shot, only to wake up to the sound of my lamp shattering from my arm swinging out
    August 15 02:01 AM
  • Trundle You wake up in the morning soaked in sweat, heart beating like a blast beat, sore all over. Basically negating all potential rest you need from sleep, there's no break.
    August 15 01:40 AM
  • Trundle Yeah, like some people it's so severe that they have to be locked in their room before going to sleep, cause they will sleep walk right out the door and into traffic, also if someone tries to impede your movement by stopping you physically, people can get extremely violent, luckily I don't have that severe symptoms, usually I stay in bed, and will sometimes wake up sitting over my bed punching my headboard, I do sleepwalk though, so it is something I monitor z
    August 15 01:38 AM
  • Trundle I've had night terrors since I was an infant, they can range from mild to severe, mild stuff like sleepwalking, but also talking/ screaming in your sleep, thrashing around, striking out, and it can be very difficult to wake up from, even if you are running around the house, basically every horror movie trope of a "possessed person".
    August 15 01:03 AM
  • Trundle I've had sleep disorders since I was a kid, night terrors, sleep paralysis, I've been having night terrors every night for weeks now, and with my ptsd is gets very intense / scary. Waking up screaming, or punching my bed post, arms flinging out everywhere knocking things down. Thankfully haven't had sleep paralysis in quite some time. The last two times were so intense, I can't really put into words the terror you feel
    August 15 12:51 AM
  • Trundle Haha, I've been a stoner off and on since I was 14, took a 4 week break recently, which just exacerbated all of my symptoms, withdrawal n such, I get lower quality stuff with less thc, makes it easier to take breaks from smoking, had to give my lungs a rest, but after 10 or so days of smoking again, I think I'm going to need another one soon. I don't drink anymore, so yeah the devils lettuce is my vice, the main reason I smoke is that it makes you have less severe dreams when you sleep,
    August 15 12:45 AM
  • Trundle it's probably going to take a while to get everything squared away, like with anything government related, i expect a long drawn out bureaucratic experience, and yeah, i'm not ruling out changing my mind, right now im in pain 24/7, all my old injuries coming back to haunt me, it's rough, but i do hope that a new perspective from a different doctor can improve things for me, but yeah its bad news bears i tell ya hwhat.
    August 14 04:23 AM
  • Trundle Ah, not anything good, I submitted my MAID request last Sunday and I got an email from them on Tuesday to say that they have received the request and it's under review. It's been very hard to say the least.
    August 14 02:20 AM
  • Trundle It ain't easyBein sleazy
    August 3 11:47 PM
  • Trundle Fuuuckin way she goes, sometimes she goes, sometimes she doesn't fuuuckin way she goes
    August 3 04:36 AM
  • Trundle I'm pursuing MAID not only for the end result, but also that I can get evaluated by a different doctor, so if there is something they can do to help improve things for me, I can pursue it. Many people have misconceptions about MAID, after submitting your application, you can rescind your request at anytime, up to and including the "day of"
    August 3 04:28 AM
  • Trundle Ah, tbh, I'm kinda going in the other direction, I don't mean to be a bummer, but im actively pursuing MAID, life hasn't been particularly kind to me, my ptsd is quite debilitating, I've had a lot of trauma in my life, from an early age, and later in life, now that my body is failing as well, I just don't feel like I have a viable path forward.
    August 3 04:26 AM
  • Trundle Well, I guess it isn't "really expensive" I got one at a private clinic of my brain like 6? Years ago. Cost 950,, depends on what theyre looking for, but when you're on a fixed income, you have to weigh the costs / benefits, cause it essentially almost would mean I'd come close to doubling my monthly budget if I got another one,
    August 2 02:43 AM
  • Trundle Not sure, in the states you could get one the same week probably, you don't have to go to a hospital, they have mri clinics everywhere, here we do have a private place that does them, but it's expensive, I had my first mri when I was 12 for my broken elbow, I got in on a cancellation, but it was 3 months after I broke it, and I had to have surgery on my wrist from the same injury 2 years later
    August 2 02:28 AM
  • Trundle It really makes you wonder, doesn't seem like many people have much of a choice, I read a story about this guy living in newfoundland, he was working full time as an electrician, and could only afford to pay 750 a month for rent, which Is what my first apartments rent was, and I was so lucky to get that one. Anyway, this guy is living in an office space that he pays 450 a month for, has to take bird baths in the bathroom, sleeps on the floor and has a hot plate,
    August 2 02:13 AM
  • Trundle Yeah, it's so frustrating, it doesn't seem to matter who's in charge, nothing ever changes, it's all about maintaining the status quo and ensuring the rich get richer
    August 2 01:39 AM
  • Trundle Jfc, more beauracracy, I have to get more blood work, and it's a 6 to 8 month wait till I get ah MRI. It is beyond ridiculous
    August 1 08:00 PM
  • Trundle When I was growing up, rock bay was where all the street walkers seemed to congregate, like middle of the day if you drove past the street you could see hookers at any time lol.
    August 1 04:02 AM
  • Trundle No, I didn't wake up in any strange places with someone trying to corn hole me, so I was at least spared that
    August 1 02:41 AM
  • Trundle Well I started to feel unwell spring of 2023, the lump in my neck formed in the summer, but he was very blasé about the whole thing, and basically downplayed everything I said was going on. He said I was experiencing "Marijuana withdrawal" even though their isn't a single piece of medical literature that says the physical effects of medical withdrawal last longer than a week. I'm well versed in mj withdrawal, gone cold turkey dozens of times, never lasted more than 5 days
    August 1 02:15 AM
  • Trundle My platelets was over 100 points higher than my last test, and those results were flagged because they were well above the max parameter, I also learned I had a high red blood cell count, he never discussed these things with me at all. It's insane
    August 1 02:02 AM
  • Trundle Yeah dude, I couldn't fuuuucking believe it, when I went on the website and i looked under reports all of em had a red icon with and exclamation mark, indicating that I had been flagged, and so the tests were recorded and saved, and I had no idea what was going on. I guess I signed up for it well over a decade ago with an email that has since beend so I got my infod and yeah it's beyond shocking.
    August 1 01:59 AM
  • Trundle So I see an ENT surgeon tomorrow, was able to get in on a cancellation. Anyway, since you're in bc, just thought you should know that it's a good idea to sign up to get your bloodiest results online from lifelabs you just give them your email, takes no time. Yesterday, to my shock and horror, I saw that I had been flagged for cancer indicators in every bloodtest I had since the fall of 2023, and my family doctor never discussed any of it with me, so shocking man
    August 1 01:20 AM
  • Trundle Lmao chickenheads had it right all along
    July 30 03:25 AM
  • Trundle Haha, if only, not being able to work for years really negatively affects your income, who knew? Thinking about turning tricks at this point, 10 bucks or 6 dairy queen coupons you know?
    July 30 03:04 AM
  • Trundle The housing cost is so out of control they've had to start kick people out of RV parks because they're overflowing, and most of the people living in em have jobs too. Where I grew up, rich people buy 1 story houses for well over 7 figures, and just tear the house down and build a new one, it's crazy. I remember growing up knowing one of my closest friends was definitely rich, but most of us grew up in 1 or 2 story houses, his house could fit like 3 of mine. He had an upstairs in his bedroom!
    July 30 01:52 AM
  • Trundle No, I was sort of close to downtown Victoria, don't even get me started on downtown, there are tents set up in nearly every median, and our old mayor wasted millions of dollars to build bike lanes almost no one uses, and now, they're building bike lanes in almost every neighborhood, which makes driving so much more difficult. It's like they don't understand that old people tend not to want to bike places, and young people can't afford to spend high 6 figures / 7 figures on a house.
    July 30 01:38 AM
  • Trundle My last one bedroom cost 1600, and it was directly across the street from a tent encampment full of completely unhinged addicts, it's so dystopian. While I was living there, a guy got murdered about a quarter block up the street in a house I walked by every night with my dog, can't be sure but I may have even heard the gunshot from my apartment. Scary times, the swat team arrested a guy a block away from my parents place,
    July 30 01:12 AM
  • Trundle Yea, it's beyond frustrating, Canada has become a bit of a joke, the social safety net canada used to pride itself on is gone, healthcare is in shambles, housing costs are astronomical. I have gone to the states in the past, ironically most of the doctors I saw were Canadian themselves. The states pays better and doesn't have all the red tape that canada does, doctors have more freedom to pursue experimental treatment. I went to a ptsd clinic in California and got ketamine injections,
    July 30 12:36 AM
  • Trundle My best option, when things are more manageable would probably be going to Washington state and pay out of pocket, so I wouldn't have to wait. So I've been looking at docs in port Angeles and the surrounding communities
    July 30 12:16 AM
  • Trundle And like I said, that neurologist retired 2 years ago, and it's at least a years wait to see a new one, so I haven't even pursued it, I stopped taking my parkinsons meds, so my tremor is much better now, but I lose out on their benefits as well, but without a neurologist to consult I just couldn't stay on em, they do help a lot with brain damage and mood, which is something I do miss, what with being in the double digits in concussions and having severe ptsd
    July 29 11:51 PM
  • Trundle Well actually the parkinsons meds are the cause of the tremors and if you already have one it really exacerbates the problem.i had a tremor before I started the parkinsons stuff at 25, I was on lithium and a galaxy full of unnecessary overprescribed meds, it took over 2 years for me to ween off them, my neurologist, the most highly acclaimed on the island said he had never had a patient come off the levels of meds I was on, let alone at the pace I did.
    July 29 11:48 PM
  • Trundle So yeah, the plan sucks, but I don't really have any other options, I'm on a cancellation list for the hematologist so fingers crossed and all, but I'll have to make some real strides before I can make any plans to travel and sich
    July 29 11:21 PM
  • Trundle So yeah, unfortunately I don't have many options, not an enviable position for sure, but I'm hoping that I'll get to a more stable state, and then I'll be able to do more, I rolled my ankle about a month ago walking my dog and tore my patella, which slightly dislocated my knee., and now I have a bone sticking out the side of my foot, so the thinking is I may have a connective tissue disorder, with all my injuries and whatnot, my joint pain is hard to manage.
    July 29 11:18 PM
  • Trundle Tbh, I'm not well enough to travel at this point, the complications of my parkinsons meds really limited what I am capable of doing, my tremor got so bad there was a time I couldn't even sign my own name, I could barely use utensils, and ironically, since my parkinsons meds as well as another sleep med I'm on come in liquid form, my tremor was so bad I couldn't even raise the cup of meds to my mouth without spilling the entire contents
    July 29 11:13 PM
  • Trundle Like I said it's dicks out for now, I got referred to a hematologist a month ago but it's a 6 to 9 month wait, and I'm like why can't we just 69? Anyway, take her easy man, and if she's easy, take her twice
    July 29 03:16 AM
  • Trundle I'll be sure to let you know when I turn the corner, it's been a rough few years, I got severe cornea damage from my parkinsons meds in 2022, so i was basically blind for 5 months and unfortunately my neurologist had to suddenly retire due to his own health issues, which was really bad timing. So I've been out of commission for a while now. But I'm keeping it right and tight.
    July 29 03:14 AM
  • Trundle but yeah, right now, i really don't have any energy, though i try my best to do a workout at home when i do have the energy, swole patrol still in effect
    July 29 02:02 AM
  • Trundle hahaha, unfortunately right now i just have zero energy, it's some busta ass shiiit i tell ya, hopefully with the iron tablets i can turn the corner and be able to do more, 10 years ago I technically died in the hospital from a heart attack, had a brief out of body experience, it ain't like they show on tv, but yeah, my last blood test showed heart disease, im 32, and two of my cousins died around this age from heart problems, i think they were younger than i am now too
    July 29 02:00 AM
  • Trundle Thanks man, it means a lot m/, when they first found the lump last year it was 2.5cm in diameter which would already put me close to stage 3, the lump eventually went away after about 6 months or so, but its back now, I've beaten the odds before, done things I never imagined I could do, so as it stands the plan is to giv'r, and dickslap it into submission
    July 29 01:40 AM
  • Trundle I'm just spare parts at this point
    July 29 01:27 AM
  • Trundle Yeah, been dealing with it for over a year now, became anemic a few weeks ago, the Iron pills help, but ive accumulated so many injuries over the years from weightlifting and kickboxing, the joint pain is quite formidable at this point. Plus, I can't afford to go on the cancer drugs, my prescriptions for parkinsons meds etc al already cost upwards of 7k year, definitely not a good position to be in, but I've beaten the odds in a lot of ways over the years, just goin dicks out now
    July 29 01:23 AM
  • Trundle Also, not too sure I have 3 or 4 years left at this point, lymphoma is a cruel mistress
    July 29 01:00 AM
  • Trundle During the lockdown I tried growing it, but it just became too curly and uncomfortably hot during the summer, so I started shaving my head again for the first time in years, but I'm back to having hair again, and mine is sort of turning blonde too, idk if it's the grey coming in or what haha,
    July 29 12:52 AM
  • Trundle Yeah, it'd take years for me to grow hair that long haha
    July 28 11:58 PM
  • Trundle Idk, him and Trish came to do appearances at bars I think, all I saw was him post a short clip of him on a ferry, still haven't watched the new giv'r by the river, because the first one was top shelf, and I didn't want to be disappointed haha
    July 28 11:17 PM
  • Trundle I think he came to bc recently, did another "giv'r by the river" vid for youtube
    July 28 11:12 PM
  • Trundle I wear it every canada day, Halloween, st. Patrick's day, basically anytime I get a chance, and now that it's pretty much warm year round I have a lot of em haha. Unfortunately the characters on my king of the hill started to fade away after repeated washing over years, by the end it was a bit of a mess
    July 28 10:52 PM
  • Trundle *fan made not hand made, stupid auto correct
    July 28 10:44 PM
  • Trundle Unfortunately it's long gone, I got it like 14 years ago lol, and then I got too swole to wear it, but I still kept it for years, but I eventually threw it out, I think it was hand made. Good news is I still have my Terry cahill "****in eh!" Half shirt,
    July 28 10:43 PM
  • Trundle I used to have a shirt of hank, dale, bill, and boomhauer, drinking beer, and above each of them, "yep, yep, yep, mmhmm"
