| Hyperion1001 ive been meaning to give that a listen but never could remember to do it. ill def do it soon though, i was listening to nmesh the other day and was loving it, but realized i forgot to put it on my list i think, which sucks cause it deserves to be there.

 | Athom Look at their influence on popular music, especially on indie and pop music. It's inescapable. I might not be a fan of a lot of how their influence has transpired into turning the indie scene into bad dance music, but a big part of every trend in the more mainstream side of indie verse comes directly from ideas LCD Soundsystem reintroduced to the music scene.

I didn't even bother listening to Uno in full, i just heard samples of most of the songs. those couples with the tons of scathing reviews towards it and the fact that 21st century breakdown was pretty garbage, I didn't want to waste my time on another trash heap lol.

(2) regarding the artists, my sufjan and radiohead and beatles and metallica hate comes from outside of sputnik... personal stuff that i'm sure everybody has, to some degree... it just comes from growing up listening to a lot of music... i also love popular music and don't see how you could not see this... Emery (well, only the one album), Protest the Hero, Periphery, Thrice, Brand New, Converge...

| theacademy im surprised how often I have to explain a binary ratings system to users who i figured would have gotten my schtick. obviously not all my 1's are 1's and not all my 5's are 5's. If I like it and enjoy listening to it, it's a 5. If I hate it (whether it's because I actually hate the music or because I slightly dislike the music but culty, hive-mind fanboyism forces me to see it on 5-10 different digs lists every day just b/c there is a 5.0 staff review/BNM attached) then i'll probably 1 it.
