  • sometimes Salutations, friend.
    August 28 07:11 AM
  • JohnnyoftheWell "this bizarre problem" - lol that was me for a long while, but they're kinda like Boris in that you get compound interest on each album for every other album you've heard. Took ages for me to realised I kinda loved that band, but there's more to them than that cool eyed artistry. maybe.
    August 21 01:25 PM
  • JohnnyoftheWell i know my crowd and will shield the ratings of Seiko co. as far possible ;] glad you dug it - some parts dragged a little for me, but i feel they have something special and will q possibly make a knockout album at some point

    April 8 04:53 PM
  • GhandhiLion The jazz threads are nice to lurk because nobody posts in them | discord has a really useful search bar actually.
    April 8 04:53 PM
  • GhandhiLion well I don't go on the discord much, and it's also much easier to read than sput :p
    April 8 04:47 PM

    April 8 04:28 PM
  • GhandhiLion It's cool that it's kind of blown up now. The credits on that album are crazy.

  • SlothcoreSam Royal Headache are great, and under-appreciated here. Have you ever checked, The Peep Tempel - Tales? It's Australian garage punk/post punk, and a lot of fun

  • AsleepInTheBack some[body] once told me the world was macaroni
    March 13 02:55 PM
  • Pheromone sounds good dude, despite being a london band ive never checked
    March 9 02:27 PM
  • Pheromone hello sorry my life has been a bit wild and my wi-fi isn't working so gonna raincheck, new wi-fi box is meant to come in two days and hopefully s*** then works. give me one of those there albums to listen to NOW
    March 8 08:15 PM
  • Pheromone sure! ill message you tomorrow or monday over discord and we can chat some more boo
    March 6 10:32 PM
  • Pheromone yeah fusions is a sick idea, excited for this
    March 6 10:22 PM
  • Pheromone to be honest, compared to what we were talking about before - we could just talk about the berlin era of albums (eno, bowie, iggy). would make for interesting conversation probably
    March 6 10:14 PM
  • Pheromone https://rateyourmusic.com/list/Kamber/post_punk_albums/2/ made this list about 7 (or so) years ago if there's anything there? i reckon we talk for 10 hours about how iggy pop made the two best albums of the berlin era because i am very passionate about this cause
    March 6 10:09 PM
  • Pheromone another one i really wanna get to eventually is psychic tv and swell maps. the latter is a shorten
    March 6 09:55 PM
  • Pheromone out of all of them Einsturzende Neubauten is the one i am completely unfamiliar with any work by - plus i have always loved the artwork for kollaps so it gives me a good excuse to check it. that's my pick, wbu
    March 6 09:34 PM
  • Sowing Ha, ha, ha. ;-)
    March 6 07:10 PM
  • Sowing Gonna be tough to find great recs specifically in that 50-100 rating range, but I'll see what I can dig up next time I'm not on mobile (navigating that way is a spectacular PITA).
    March 6 06:31 PM
  • Sowing i just realized you shouted me forever ago looking for recs and I never responded...oops.
    March 6 06:21 PM
  • Pheromone hahah exactly! the positive reception there would be worth it
    March 6 03:41 PM
  • Pheromone the probably already limited was a pure joke which reading back sounds a bit too real lmao
    March 6 03:38 PM
  • Pheromone i am down for both, or either - im also down to hang (over discord or whatever) on voice channel and brainstorm ideas. the world is our oyster.
    March 6 03:38 PM
  • Pheromone ahah i would of course be down, though id worry that your (probably already limited) appreciation for my existence would go down considerably when you realise how ****ing useless i am at planning / existing etc etc. THOUGH, i am presently listening to tiger trap's s/t and if we had a platform to giddily hype albums like that among others, that'd be amazing.
    March 6 03:32 PM
  • Pheromone **** yeah, it'd be an aoty contender if that notwist hadn't surprisingly blown my socks off. it's a love / hate affair as a lot of strap is, but if you like them already then you should dig. got a lotta new-wave elements in the new one which is sorta weird but appreciated
    March 6 03:22 PM
  • Pheromone yeah slowcore is definitely the sister (cousin / etc etc whatever) to emo's rise. on one side you had the dramatic crescendo theatric of 90s indie, on the other you had the complete opposite empahsis on minor-middling anti-crescendo as such
    March 6 03:21 PM
  • Pheromone haha I'd love that - nothing like a bit of spoken word. Have you checked much arab strap? Scottish slowcore of sexual romps and drunken ruts, with a particular emphasis on spoken word (in a less jesus way)
    March 6 03:20 PM
  • Pheromone guitar and uh guitar only, ill sing a gorgeous camp manchester rasp to live up to the post punk side
    March 6 03:16 PM
  • Pheromone And Also The Trees is exactly what I was thinking when I messaged you - that's the closest I can think of
    March 6 03:15 PM
  • Pheromone yeah that's not a bad shout, i guess what i am saying is, let's form a band
    March 6 03:14 PM
  • Pheromone dig dig dig dig dig
    March 6 03:12 PM
  • Pheromone ALL! But mostly the third.
    March 6 03:10 PM
  • Pheromone the absence of any semblance of post-punk slowcore makes me sad - feel like the two genres compliment eachother well seperate from a weird coldwave setting / vent
    March 6 03:08 PM
  • InFiction Yo that's really weird, it's their current facebook banner photo haha
    March 5 08:07 PM
  • Divaman That's what I do. :)
    March 5 04:21 PM
  • Divaman Still four spots left. Are you going to weigh in with a song this month?
    March 5 04:06 PM
  • normaloctagon incredibly based new gy!be soundoff sir
    March 3 07:06 PM
  • GhandhiLion True.
    March 3 06:45 PM
  • GhandhiLion No it sounds like Suicide and Hendrix. And I'm not a pastafarian
    March 3 06:27 PM
  • GhandhiLion np lol I don't think that would be right either tho :p
    March 3 06:13 PM
  • GhandhiLion Youth of America isn't a proto post-rock or math rock cut.
    March 3 05:30 PM
  • parksungjoon iceland isnt in scandinavia btw
    March 3 05:27 PM
  • Ryus lemme go with porter ricks - biokinetics. probably my favorite techno release ever
    March 3 04:47 PM
  • Pheromone youth of america dude completely agree. i think about that album so much even when not listening to it if that makes sense ??
    March 2 09:00 PM
  • rage11111ro I now see you have soundoffs for everything you rated. You have no idea how much I respect this. Back to the topic. Of course I do, I actually have two, shocked on both at seing they fit -you choose which one to use, if any-: Paramaecium-Exhumed of the Earth; Terra Tenebrosa - The Purging. Thanks!
    March 1 09:03 PM
  • Lord(e)Po)))ts I'll be out here fingers crossed, toes crossed...
    February 26 07:05 PM
  • Lord(e)Po)))ts Yeah it is definitely not immediate, but thats why I'm trying to convince you that ur missing something just yet ;)
    February 26 07:02 PM
  • Lord(e)Po)))ts Couldn't disagree more. But I can see how listening to everything that came after it would set expectations up a certain way that would make that album seem a bit perplexing and/or underwhelming. Its very subtle unlike his approach now. I'd strongly recommend giving it the time of day with tempered expectations removed from the rest of his discog. It is to the rest of his discog as LA is to FlyLo's in a way.
    February 26 06:57 PM
  • Lord(e)Po)))ts Crazy, I think AWWWAM is an absolute classic and have pretty much consistently liked each following album less and less
    February 26 06:51 PM
  • Lord(e)Po)))ts Damn that AWWWAM soundoff is savage! it's nearly universally heralded as his magnum opus by his long term fans
    February 26 06:46 PM
  • Pheromone said it on cordis but you dont check it - check Crazy Rythms by The Feelies. One of ze best post punk albums
    February 24 12:24 PM

    February 16 08:23 PM
  • SandwichBubble I was going to change the reviewer name to just "Susan" originally, but decided against it. SusanBoyle's pretty good too though. | I would just like the record to show that I was talking about my own ample busom when I made that shoutbox, not Mrs. Boyle's.
    February 16 07:48 PM
  • SandwichBubble n/a | This is the strangest census I've ever filled out.
    February 16 07:29 PM

    February 12 09:32 AM
  • SlothcoreSam New Luca Brasi is out tomorrow. Some Tasmanian emo for you. I remember you featured them once in a list. The new album is solid with great song writing, maybe a little too vanilla and samesy, but still worth the listen.
    February 11 11:41 PM
  • hansoloshotfirst back when I was at University I tried to avoid it at first (too cool for acknowledged greatness and I spent roughly a year on it at school) but ended up taking a course on the source material "Historia von D. Johann Fausten" (1587) anyway.
    February 10 02:52 PM
  • hansoloshotfirst Und das mit Recht; denn alles was entstehtIst wert dass es zu Grunde geht As a german Faust is inevitable. You can try to resist it but Goethe is omnipresent .

  • kalkwiese That rating interval thing makes it harder for me, but I've got a few ones.Chamber prog: iamthemorning - Belighted and the unnamed first album. Lighthouse is also good, but my least favorite. Also some black metal: Der Weg Einer Freiheit - s/t and Unstille. I'd have some recs below 50 votes, but 50 - 100 is quite hard ?
    February 6 08:36 AM
  • Trifolium Yes of course! An Pierle And White Velvet - An Pierle And White Velvet, Fela Kuti - Open and Close (with an ampersand, but Sput can't deal with those in Shoutboxes), Sungrazer - Sungrazer, and Laurent Garnier - 30. Some cool poppy weirdness, some afrobeat genius, some psychedelic stoner rock and some delicious 90s house. Hope you don't secretly know them already...
