| Pon lol I was gonna ask why the new account? I can't recall anything you've said or done that's even remotely ban-worthy, but that's sput for ya. I'll talk to Jom, and maybe a couple other staffers with some taste overlap who'd be keen to help or at least throw their support behind the idea. As for the classical stuff, I've been plugging away slowly but surely, though you could probably count on hand how many users actively rate by recording as opposed to composition. But hey, it's progress!

| Pon It really just depends on whether or not the mods can be convinced it's worth it (which I think it is, if the goal is to have a more comprehensive database). Getting support from other staffers like Johnny could probably help persuade them, but ultimately we don't have the ability to execute these changes without approval from higher up. I could talk to Jom in the meantime, and maybe he could relay something to mx?

| Pon Hmm, odd that he referred you to Fripp and I as neither of us are able to approve the required edits. I can sort of understand why he did, as I went through and added about 300-400 classical recordings to the DB and tried to issue some guidelines (which were a total failure lol). Even then, all of the entries on the composers' pages remained as it was too much effort to manually move them, which is what you're suggesting.

| Pon The site's architecture is so restrictive that properly organising a decade of messy catalogs would be herculean tbh--but if you're up for it?

| Pon VA comps under labels definitely makes more sense, and I didn't know that Dev already did that so at least there's a precedent. It's probably worth contacting Jom or any of the other mods via email if you wanna discuss it greater depth, but even then it'll require a lot of manual reshuffling and will be incredibly time consuming.

| Pon I don't listen to a lot of VA stuff so it's never crossed my mind much. afaik they're separated by genre atm but that's still way too broad. any kind of revamp would probably require consulting the userbase first and then a hell of a lot of effort from a handful of people editing and re-tagging specific entries (so long as the mods are content to approve all of said edits). any solutions you had in mind?
