 | Lucman Hey man! There's a new John Van Deusen album out, it's a whopping 21 tracks, and its name your price on Bandcamp. Haven't listened yet but I'm greatly anticipating diving in today.

| Sowing Nice. I'm really looking forward to giving that a read. The Outskirts is my personal favorite at the moment but I love every song both of us mentioned, and nearly all 34 songs have at least one moment that makes me enjoy them. For example, on The Good I'll Do, it's the way he sings "the wine always affects you in beautiful kind ways". Only Zach could make getting drunk sound that romantic. The dude just has a brilliant way with words.

| Sowing It's tough, but mine are The Outskirts, The Good I'll Do, Darling, She's Alright, and Something in the Orange. Billy and Someday are both somewhere up there too. I love the closer, but it's almost in a different category where I can't really rank it alongside his regular songs. On an unrelated note, did you notice some of the motifs and callbacks? The parallels between Something in the Orange and This Road I Know are particularly interesting to me.

JT still sounds monotonous as hell for the most part which I just accept now lol he'll never be that great. Jesse's solo is absolutely killer, he shreds out hard and it sounds very Augmenty at times. Chorus is solid enough, JT's backing cleans are generic (just like his screams go figure lol). Overall a very 3.7 track, I'm looking forward to the album
