    June 2 02:47 AM
  • Jom Do you think you might have gotten timed out, by chance? How recent did you attempt the article? As long as it's written reasonably well and not a straight copy-paste news release, I'll try to keep an eye out for it today. Having a source (either URL or YouTube embed) is also good because anything missing all that criteria is what we're supposed to remove. Cheers!

    February 5 05:48 PM
  • MarsKid s*** man, I'm sorry to hear that. Absolutely prioritize that above anything else. Best of luck, I know it can be hard.

  • AsleepInTheBack Tasty rec, cheers my man
    January 23 08:40 PM
  • neekafat Sister Cities write-up is done!
    January 20 08:16 AM
  • Adabelle Glad you enjoyed it somewhat, even if not as much as I hoped/thought you might!
    January 18 11:51 PM
  • Casavir Glad you're liking it so far. I rep it pretty often because I always found it odd that a German progressive metal album that cohesive and well-written from 1990 has little to no attention even by underground standards.
    January 18 03:59 PM
  • SteakByrnes Haha yea I've seen them play the medley, I love it it sounds really good
    January 18 04:48 AM
  • JohnnyoftheWell Ah hell yeah aha, write-up looking fire ;]
    January 17 12:30 AM
  • Drifter Jeez that's so long. I didn't even know they drove at night lol. Do you at least get to jam music while driving? I know you have those doorless doors...

  • Drifter Hey Zombie are things going any better for you with the multiple jobs?
    January 16 11:19 PM
  • tyman128 can i attempt to redeem myself with a rec for after you finish the list?
    January 16 03:47 PM
  • JohnnyoftheWell Haha, the last two songs are absolute knockout combo so you'd better believe it
    January 14 05:16 PM
  • JohnnyoftheWell Oh man, hell yes it is - so glad you dig it! Have you got the whole way through yet?
    January 14 05:12 PM
  • SymbolicInTime Glad to hear! All of their stuff is really tight. Bet you?ll enjoy getting around to their other albums if you do
    January 14 04:40 PM
  • Demon of the Fall Nice! I went for something a little different, it was a gamble, haha. Hope you enjoy the whole thing.
    January 9 08:58 AM
  • Conmaniac Oh hey thanks my man means a lot (: was so happy when I saw it made the list I had to write something for it
    January 8 05:21 PM
  • kalkwiese Yea, the opener is a killer track. I basically love everything in here, but the tracks in the middle of the album aren't very immediate. Don't be fooled though, I think these tracks are amazing too
    January 7 09:11 PM
  • tyman128 wait, so you?ve never heard of Love and Death before?
    January 7 08:37 PM
  • Relinquished I saw that lone daft punk 5 and saw you need more house in your life, most people here do
    January 7 07:14 PM
  • kalkwiese If you can see the playlist, it's the album tracks in the correct order
    January 7 07:06 PM
  • kalkwiese That's weird. I found this playlist https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_lIhNPdS02YnphAfvpJKwt9xDKu2TJTGBk
    January 7 07:05 PM
  • kalkwiese It should be on Spotify :)
    January 7 06:51 PM
  • SandwichBubble Glad to hear it! It's definitely a ride.
    January 7 04:50 PM
  • SandwichBubble Hopefully it's kooky in a good way. :)
    January 7 04:44 PM
  • neekafat I know sorry it's cause of all the cram list albums I've been doing lol
    January 4 02:45 AM
  • SymbolicInTime I?ve truly been meaning to get to 4, but I haven?t been in the mood to play anything other than ps4 lately. Eventually!
    January 4 12:45 AM
  • SymbolicInTime I own the RE1 remake, RE4, RE5, RE6, and RE7, but the only ones I?ve actually played are 5 and 7. 5 was fun as hell as a couch co-op game with a buddy, but a slog playing solo. RE7 I ended up quitting just because I haven?t been in the mood for that kind of game, but what I played was definitely enthralling
    January 3 07:09 PM
  • SymbolicInTime Cos EA hates being interesting for too long I guess
    January 3 06:54 PM
  • SymbolicInTime Yeah 3 was straight trash. Gutted the series

  • MarsKid That ought to fit the bill
    December 19 04:13 PM
  • Papa Universe oh, I've heard it. but it's been a while, so I should definitely revisit
    December 18 07:36 PM
  • bgillesp Watched NightmareBC with the fam last night. Nice profile pic btw!
    December 18 03:03 AM
  • SymbolicInTime Oof yeah that?s ridiculous
    December 17 07:28 PM
  • SymbolicInTime The list itself didn?t bother me that much. Yeah it?s incredibly immature to even bother making such a thing but I was mostly annoyed by the fact that it was legitimately featured. It?s one thing to make a list just to alarm someone and have a few people see it and reply but to then put it on featured for all to easily see is definitely a bit much. Glad that was reversed.
    December 17 07:01 PM
  • Toondude10 no I asked them to
    December 17 05:26 PM
  • MarsKid Yo, what song did you want to submit off of Insomniac Doze? Only the album title was given, couldn't find a track by that name.
    December 16 02:34 PM
  • Hawks Will do for sure bro. That album is amazing.
    December 12 07:54 PM
  • Dewinged My man! Tribulation ruuuuuules!
    December 11 12:02 AM

  • MarsKid The game is on! https://www.sputnikmusic.com/list.php?listid=184513
    December 7 01:31 PM
  • Frippertronics Personally speaking, my favorite is their debut, Meet the Residents. There are two versions however, but look for the mono version which contains the complete 44 minute album. The stereo version that was released in 1977/78 cut about five minutes from the album. A way to tell the difference is the final song, N-ER-GEE, is about ten minutes on the mono mix as opposed to the stereo version being seven minutes.
    December 6 12:55 AM
  • Frippertronics Absolutely am, you got a head start by listening to Duck Stab (I'd presume the LP version with the Buster and Glen material included as well, since that's the version that is released nowadays). I could further recommend Not Available and Third Reich 'n' Roll as further listening goes. Everything from 1974-1982 is essential, not to mention the multitude of non-album singles they released in that time period.
    December 6 12:53 AM
  • SandwichBubble Renaldo and the Loaf, Smegma (CA), Caroliner | I don't want to flood you with artists, but I have more if you like these.
    December 5 11:38 PM
  • SandwichBubble Glad I could help!
    December 5 10:21 PM
  • SandwichBubble I'd say go for Not Available, that seems to be considered their best. And also check Buster and Glen (companion piece to Duck Stab). Also also, ask Frippertronics. He's big into the Residents and probably would be better at rec'ing than lil ol me. :)
    December 5 10:18 PM
  • Conmaniac ooh cool will jam after this Mid-Air Thief album my man.
    December 5 04:00 PM
  • Conmaniac name sounds super familiar...but def haven't, what kind of music is it?
    December 5 03:55 PM
  • Conmaniac yeee been awhile, been studying in Florence, Italy this semester so it's been crazy but super fun! hope everything is well with ya
    December 5 03:52 PM
  • seinfeldreruns Dude I just revisited Wildlife and it?s so much better than I remember, I think Somewhere at the Bottom is still my favorite, but Wildlife is a solid 4.75.
    December 4 11:10 PM
  • Papa Universe Did you pull that off the fridge?
    December 3 01:56 PM
  • ArsMoriendi Crumbling now has a review
    November 29 09:48 PM
  • Dewinged hahaha one of my favorite songs ever. We used to watch his show back in the day. He tapping that old man's bald head while running around. Good times.
    November 21 12:58 AM
  • Dewinged lol deal!!
    November 21 12:44 AM
  • veninblazer Lmao yeah it's too good.
    November 20 09:37 PM
  • SandwichBubble You'll get better at it as time goes on, trust me. Never the same album twice is the motto.
    November 20 04:28 PM
  • iswimfast Hey sorry! I gave it a shot and forgot to yell at ya. I dunno it just didn't hit me, I'll have to give it another spin but it just didn't do much for me the first time.
    November 20 04:19 PM
  • SymbolicInTime I?ve been meaning to check that for ages! Definitely gonna throw it in my saved stuff and possibly spin it after The Sound Of Madness from Shinedown
    November 20 03:35 PM
  • SymbolicInTime Agreed dude, I had it at a 4 on my old acct, just need to respond it sometime! I?m in the midst of a radio rock kick today ala Breaking Benjamin and Shinedown lmao
    November 20 03:29 PM
  • ArsMoriendi I know Old Man. I know a good portion of his hits, but not much of his lesser known songs.
    November 20 02:24 AM
  • SandwichBubble Tip: Get a job that allows you to sit in front of a computer for hours. Or one where the boss doesn't care if you jam on the job.

    November 19 07:06 PM
  • Bloon ill make sure to check it friend
    November 19 06:33 PM
  • ArsMoriendi It just needs a review so its thread can be continually bumped.
    November 19 04:44 PM
  • seinfeldreruns Ah I see, I?ve never been able to get into Wilfile because I think that it?s a much less personal record. Somewhere At The Bottom... is really personal and talks all about the vocalists problems and emotions, while Wildlife is, in my opinion, telling stories of other people?s struggles and emotions. I don?t think it?s bad, but it doesn?t click with me as much as Somewhere At The Bottom does. King Park tho...
    November 19 12:44 AM
  • Bloon i need your rec friend
    November 15 10:44 PM
  • Papa Universe you can call me a man with a mission now
    November 14 09:56 PM
  • Papa Universe what is this (any) reality, where you sort of like, but aren't all that particularly fond of, my recs?
    November 14 03:16 PM
  • Papa Universe November 2018
    November 14 03:14 PM
  • Source Just finished Let It Enfold You. Great album. This band seems up my alley!
    November 14 04:12 AM
  • Source Sweet. Will check
    November 14 02:05 AM
  • Hawks Def planning on it bro.
    November 14 01:39 AM
  • DarkSideOfLucca Holy s***. That was...insane lmao - will check in an hour at the gym
    November 13 09:09 PM
  • veninblazer Honestly liked it more than I expected. Clean vocalist sounds a foreign Tom DeLonge.
    November 13 06:23 AM
  • Rowhaus Been crushing the rating game bro m/
    November 13 02:38 AM
  • veninblazer oh lord, 18 tracks...
    November 13 02:35 AM

  • Papa Universe it's just pure, unadulterated fun
    November 13 01:19 AM
  • Papa Universe My Hero just kept creeping back into my mind, so I played it with the whole record and then some more.
    November 13 01:04 AM
  • Papa Universe oi, Man With a Mission turned out to be pretty damn awesome
    November 13 01:00 AM
  • SteakByrnes I'll go through my Yugioh pics for a good av soon, you've made me want it even more
    November 12 11:21 PM
  • SteakByrnes That's ****ing amazing lmfao
    November 12 11:16 PM
  • neekafat Screamed vocals work for me sometimes but very rarely lol and yeah that album is crazy good!
    November 12 10:48 PM
  • XingKing It's been a while since I've listened to them. Probably not since they announced their anniversary tour last year (that I never wound up going to lol). I'll get a refresher and then rate them for you, bebe
    November 12 10:46 PM
  • neekafat I liked it but the screamed vocals kinda took away from it I felt hahaha, have you ever heard Pinkly Smooth?
    November 12 10:42 PM
  • XingKing I'm surprised I don't have them rated but I've definitely jammed them!
    November 12 10:30 PM
  • seinfeldreruns Yo why?d you five wildlife and not somewhere at the bottom lmao
    November 12 06:22 PM
  • neekafat My Daughters write up is on the Cram List btw (;
    November 11 11:27 PM
  • neekafat ughhhhhh I will eventuallyyyyy
    November 9 03:03 AM
  • neekafat Holy s*** I know this second one... **** this is taking me back, lots and lots of weird memories associated with this one christ haha
    November 8 04:34 AM
  • neekafat Jesus this is exactly what I imagined them sounding like lol
    November 8 04:31 AM
  • neekafat I'll check when I'm done trying Slint again (;
    November 8 12:29 AM
  • neekafat Yeah I was gonna say lmao
    November 7 11:08 PM
  • SymbolicInTime Would if I knew any 50s music haha
    November 7 06:28 PM
  • SteakByrnes Dude I don't know like any 50's music enough lmao
    November 7 05:16 AM
  • SteakByrnes I doubt anything can dethrone it at this point, I'm only really looking forward to one more release this year and it's a debut album. Although the album is looking really good, the band is called The Parallel, I'll let you know when it comes out :]
    November 6 08:32 PM
  • SteakByrnes Dude right?? I told you it was amazing :] It's my AOTY now, I love it
    November 6 05:27 AM
  • neekafat I'm gonna have to given all the hype it's getting hahaha it's on my cram-list!
    November 5 09:42 PM
  • SymbolicInTime So I finally got around to checking the new The Dorty Nil album that you record me a little while back. Honestly didn?t do anything for me. There weren?t any bad moments per se, but I mostly just found myself bored tbh haha. I did enjoy Pain of Infinity and Always High though. Hit The Lights civet was interesting too
    November 5 12:35 PM
  • neekafat got get what the hubbub is about that slint album
    November 5 06:24 AM
  • neekafat Night Verses write up is up (:
    November 2 12:32 AM
  • SymbolicInTime Hell yeah man! I loved them back in middle school and randomly felt like seeing if they still held up. If you haven?t heard We All Bleed and you like any of their other stuff decently, it?s highly recommended. It?s them at their most interesting from a songwriting perspective (not that it would be hard to achieved that for a radio rock-esque band haha). Hell, they got a 10-minute track in there that KILLS
    October 31 11:24 PM
  • Papa Universe anyone who went to Aberdeen have simultaneously walked too far and gone too low. if you're not there, you should be fine
    October 31 05:00 PM
  • Papa Universe are you in Aberdeen?
    October 31 04:57 PM
  • Papa Universe it's just pink is what I'm trying to say, but it holds a secret
    October 31 04:51 PM
  • Papa Universe it's also a photo and everyone wears the same shade of pink.
    October 31 04:51 PM
  • Papa Universe my wallpaper is already a giant peach covered with greenish seethrough cloth with children dancing around it singing satanic chants, while a baphometic goatlike creature observes from the upside down woods
    October 31 04:51 PM
  • Papa Universe make me your screen wallpaper
    October 31 04:48 PM
  • Papa Universe hey
    October 31 04:47 PM
  • onionbubs ...when you getting on alkaline dawg?
    October 31 03:36 AM
  • neekafat That's awesome man!
    October 29 11:28 PM
  • neekafat Definitely my fave track of 2016, it's just gorgeous
    October 29 07:17 PM
  • bgillesp Drop another rec in the OCT SOTD thread so we don't die out on the last day
    October 29 06:53 PM
  • Bloon I need your round 2 rec fren
    October 29 01:49 AM
  • SymbolicInTime Okay I guess I like more Enter Shikari than I thought. That EP was quite a bit of fun. The breakdown in Paddington Frisk, the electronic bits in Radiate, and the Radiate remix were highlights for me. Oddly, that remix was probably my fav part. T/t was a major mixed bag imo but still glad I checked on the whole!
    October 26 05:11 PM
  • SteakByrnes Oh I definitely will sometime soon, because I really liked that song
    October 26 04:25 PM
  • SteakByrnes Lmao that was wacky and fun, the bass was ****in nice
    October 26 03:35 PM
  • SymbolicInTime Rat Race the Enter Shikari EP? If so, I?ll spin it on my way home from work tonight
    October 26 01:13 AM
  • SymbolicInTime Thanks man! Adding it to my backlog haha
    October 25 05:50 PM
  • SymbolicInTime Boyyyyyy that sure is some tasty bass! Never even heard of them before!
    October 25 05:43 PM
  • XingKing Oh man, I really hope you love it. Not only is it amazing, but it came out 24 years ago and it sounds timeless. Massive boner for that record lol
    October 24 10:27 PM
  • XingKing Not to mention many of the other bands we have in common *kissy emojis don?t work*
    October 23 11:46 PM
  • CugnoBrasso Shiiiet man, glad to see you dig NoMeansNo so much, they're truly legendary!
    October 23 07:06 PM
  • SteakByrnes Dude hell yea, it's so groovy I love it. And that track with the vox owns so hard
    October 22 11:43 PM
  • Dedes That's rad dude.It may very well be my favorite post hxc album now.
    October 22 11:07 PM
  • SteakByrnes Yee boi I loved the album, Polyphia has always been my jam. They play to all of their strengths on the new record, it's such a good album
    October 22 04:52 PM
  • SteakByrnes Yea I love it, one of my favorite post hardcore albums ever
    October 22 04:20 PM
  • SteakByrnes Dylan has a more unique timbre to my ears as opposed to the ISS guy. Just couldn't get into ISS no matter how many tries I gave them
    October 22 04:19 PM
  • SteakByrnes Because Of Machines is a lot more technically driven, plus their vocalists are a lot better lol. ISS has that heavy electronicore vibe that I don't normally like outside of a few exceptions
    October 22 04:09 PM
  • Dedes You better mister!
    October 21 06:11 PM
  • Dedes You jam Of Machines my dude?
    October 18 10:22 PM
  • neekafat Nice dude! I'm gonna do my Mobb Deep write up asap
    October 18 08:40 PM
  • Get Low I played on an illegal software called YGOpro for awhile, in which I would wreck people with really gimmicky decks (bitches don't know about my Inferno Tempest deck). But YGOpro doesn't work on my computer any longer, so that was kind of it for me. And the new Link monster mechanic seems really stupid.
    October 18 01:57 PM
  • Get Low Hard agree. First gen 4ever.
    October 18 01:46 PM
  • Get Low I do not. I don't even play normal Yugioh anymore, as I dislike the current state of the game. I loved it back in the day, though.
    October 18 01:29 PM
  • SteakByrnes I just realized you haven't rated any of their music so if you haven't checked them out before, I highly recommend peeping Hell Songs and the self titled
    October 17 09:59 PM
  • SteakByrnes The bass on the whole album is thicc af my boi, and if you like that track then you'll like the album for sure
    October 17 09:52 PM
  • SteakByrnes The album art is very representative of how the music sounds
    October 17 09:47 PM
  • SteakByrnes Satan in the Wait, that song is creepy and fantastic. Perfect for the season ;] Album officially comes out next Friday, but it leaked
    October 17 09:45 PM
  • SteakByrnes It's so groovy and chill my man, I love that album. Jamming new Daughters rn tho, s*** is amazing
    October 17 09:40 PM
  • neekafat Good cause I wrote way too much about it haha
    October 12 04:03 PM
  • neekafat Writing about classical was so bizarre
    October 12 03:55 PM
  • neekafat hell yeah! I'm gonna do one more jam of The Infamous before I post my write up I think
    October 12 02:39 PM
  • neekafat You still working on that neek v zombie thing?

  • Papa Universe a pal of mine has this extensive Spotify list (shamefully admit that it contained many a band I did not know myself) I usually use as a reference for folks. It has a ****tonne of songs on it. gimme a moment and I'll dig it up.

  • Papa Universe like anything from the 70s before Joy Division craze turned men into pussies.
    October 8 08:16 PM
  • Papa Universe I am not as fond of their other work, but I'd say Light Up Gold and Human Performance are both also career highlights.
    October 8 08:10 PM
  • Papa Universe Monastic Living was supposed to be something like live-recorded improv session.
    October 8 08:06 PM
  • Papa Universe it's cocky and snarky in the best possible way

  • neekafat Yeahhhhh I wanna see it because of the RT score but honestly me and my friend saw so many indie films with that trailer that it's kinda a meme for me. Plus the whole Bradley Cooper directing a film about him being a famous musician and casting an actual famous musician as the person he "discovers" seems weirdly egotistical (and just a tiny sexist but that's just me reading too much into it)

  • SteakByrnes MIW is such a tragic tale
    October 5 06:24 PM

    October 5 06:06 PM
  • tyman128 yea, I?m still quite shocked with how good the album actually is. I though that after Blurryface they would fall off the edge, but dang they redeemed themselves well. Check out my opinions in my review if you want to (shameless plug)
