  • Trifolium Did it, I hope it was all according to the rules (if there are any)!
    May 30 07:54 AM
  • Dewinged Diva sorry! I just woke up here too, your message came through the night. I gotta go now and have a busy day ahead but I can take care of it tomorrow if it's not too late.
    May 30 12:19 AM
  • Trifolium Hi Diva! Would tomorrow morning (in 10 hours or so) be ok, or is that too late? I'm going to bed now, but I can do it tomorrow morning during breakfast...
    May 29 10:09 PM
  • Friday13th Will do, but it will be late!
    May 22 12:35 AM
  • Trifolium Hahaha, that's very smart Diva! I won't forget! Promise!
    May 21 10:02 PM
  • budgie Don't forget to vote today in the folk tournament.
    May 21 09:09 PM
  • ian b same goes to you my friend, although, regarding what seemed to be concern, i should probably clarify that i'm only 18 and have nothing better to do whenever i'm working on writing projects or music lolllll, so i wouldn't recommend giving any worry towards it, it's just how i ~create~ and go about life atm
    May 14 04:45 PM
  • ArsMoriendi You like comps with song recs, right? :P https://www.sputnikmusic.com/list.php?memberid=1034848
    May 12 06:25 PM
  • ian b probably not, i tend to only use sputnik when im s***faced and/or extremely depressed, but i'll try to get a pick next month!

    May 6 12:12 AM

  • DoofDoof ok, Im on it
    April 16 05:13 PM
  • zakalwe Thanks for the invite diva. Hope you and family are well. Unfortunately I?m not going to be able to participate as things are a bit chaotic at the min and I won?t be able to invest the time in doing a tourney but I?ll definitely be keeping an eye on proceedings and an open ear to albums.
    April 8 04:14 PM
  • JohnnyoftheWell Yup! Will stick the list up in the soon
    March 30 09:23 AM
  • Egarran Thanks for asking but I gotta skip this month. Have fun!
    March 13 09:02 AM
  • neekafat Bless ur heart diva. Who posted it this month?
    March 10 11:47 PM
  • Uzumaki I?ll def keep my eyes peeled for that.
    March 10 10:56 PM
  • Uzumaki I?m sorry, man. I?ve wracked my brain and I can?t come up with anything, so I?ll take a rain check for this month.
    March 10 04:41 PM
  • Tunaboy45 Hey! When I think of a wintry song, I think of Bjork's Pagan Poetry. Icy, twinkly synths conjure images of perfectly formed snowflakes and the sparse mix brings to mind a snow-covered landscape.
    March 10 02:28 PM
  • Dewinged First, happy (belated) birthday! And I guess I could contribute but I doubt I'll have time to catch up Diva, sorry!
    March 10 04:38 AM
  • SandwichBubble I'll get back to you tomorrow if I think of a song.
    March 10 02:55 AM
  • SandwichBubble Well, it was YOU that inspired ME to get that review out so quick so it's mutual :) As much as I'd like to go tit-for-tat and review another Mitchell album, I don't think I'd have any words for her work after Don Juan.
    March 2 06:12 PM
  • SandwichBubble Just gave your writeup a read-through, really cool. Totally get the "split" after Court and Spark, I'd only go as far as Hejeira for worthwhile Mitchell myself.
    March 2 03:20 AM
  • JustJoe. bless
    February 5 09:50 PM
  • wham49 Johnnny Cash/ Orange Blossom special
    February 5 01:21 PM
  • zakalwe Will do diva dude
    February 5 12:26 PM
  • garas Hi Diva'! Thanks for the message, but I think I'll skip this month, I feel the better is if I spare all of us from more potential 1.0s. Maybe I'll join and catch up with the recs, but I don't feel I should rec anything too.
    February 5 07:03 AM
  • Dewinged Ummm, this month theme is pretty interesting, although my grandpas and grandmums were not really much into music, maybe some flamenco... I'll do some research!
    February 5 06:21 AM
  • Uzumaki I may, but I have unique circumstances...
    February 5 02:39 AM
  • SandwichBubble I don't think my grandparents listened to much aside from church music in my native tongue, so I'll sit this one out for all your sakes.
    February 5 02:19 AM
  • JustJoe. i find myself songless at this time dear friend
    February 5 01:57 AM
  • Friday13th Enjoy! I was kinda hoping to do another something soon but my life is not my own right now lol
    February 1 02:12 AM
  • ian b anything happening to the SOTD list this month? or are you thinking about pushing it back until february
    January 14 06:16 AM
  • SlothcoreSam Don't forget to check the Vinnie Carauna EP, I'm really digging it this last week. https://knowhoperecords.bandcamp.com/track/providence
    January 14 03:55 AM
  • tectactoe I kind of ducked out of the latest SOTY because I could not commit to the previous one :( Are you still looking for more people?
    January 10 06:13 PM
  • wham49 Black Sabbath/13/Zeitgeist
    January 9 06:58 PM
  • ian b sounds good! definitely hard to pick just one, but without thinking too hard it'd probably be "King Park" by La Dispute. such an impeccable song conceptually and lyrically, with a bone-chilling climax that's just as effective the 100th time as it is the first.
    January 9 02:03 PM
  • zakalwe I think it?s great. Still has a freshness to it and some quality. I assume it?s the last record under the band name and if so it?s a nice package to bring the curtain down,
    January 9 07:40 AM
  • Dewinged I always end up slacking on the SOTD lists so that's why I always withdraw. But if a rec is what you need I'll try to think of smth!
    January 9 02:52 AM
  • DungeonBoy Hey Divadude, i'm gonna have to skip Jan, but i'll be back in full force hopefully in Feb
    January 8 02:36 PM
  • Egarran I am still intimidated by the theme but I will try
    January 7 06:40 PM
  • TVC15 Hey sorry still haven't been checking Sputnik regularly! You caught me at the right time lol. My choice for top song of the 2010s will have to go to Bicep by TR/ST
    January 7 03:36 AM
  • budgie can ya link me the thread?
    January 6 01:52 PM
  • SlothcoreSam Hey Diva, have you heard the new EP by Vinnie Caruana, the frontman of I Am The Avalanche. https://bsmrocks.bandcamp.com/album/aging-frontman

  • e210013 I'm well my friend. I hope the same with you. I'm now a bit busy preparing some reviews. Stil, I'll see it. Thanks.
    November 18 09:58 AM
  • Frippertronics Much appreciated re: Song of the Day. Unfortunately, I'm able to contribute as of now, but I'd be interested in next month's.
    November 16 05:46 AM
  • TVC15 Oh man I'm late to the list! Sorry about that, life has been very busy, I wasn't trying to ignore you
    November 13 06:05 PM
  • Atari Oh boy, that?s tough since almost every great song I?ve heard over the past 6 years was thanks to Sput, lol. I?ll post one it I can think of something that really stands out
    November 13 02:55 PM
  • Jethro42 How are you, Diva my friend? Will check and see, thank you!
    November 12 08:28 PM
  • Papa Universe Thanks, bub, I needed that.
    November 9 12:20 PM
  • TwigTW I'm gonna pass, but thanks for the invite Diva.
    November 8 02:22 PM
  • Scheumke I can, for the life of me, not remember a direct recommendation from anyone from the site. I'd have to take something from a review that got me into something, in which case I'd go with a very fresh one: Winterun - Far From Where Dreams Unfurl. Got into it because of a great review from Ramon. I guess that's playing very loose with this months theme though, so you decide if you want to include it :)
    November 8 07:21 AM
  • Trifolium Ah nice, thanks Diva! I hope so too.
    November 8 06:02 AM
  • SandwichBubble Done :) Your mass-shoutbox campaign worked.

    October 30 06:47 AM
  • Trifolium Hi Diva! I've got a question for you, are you alright with me opening the recommendations for next month's Song Of The Day thread later today? I liked how you opened the current thread a little before the month started to fill up some early recs, but I don't want to take away from the last couple of days of the October thread of course. Let me know what you think!
    October 29 09:46 AM
  • Archelirion Hey man :] All fixed! The average wasn't affected anyway as the average/stdev formulae were totally separate from the count one anyway, but everything is in order now.

    September 14 05:51 PM
  • JustJoe. I?ll have to ponder that for a bit, DivaDude.
    September 14 02:34 PM
  • Archelirion Done :] You need to make sure that the formula on the spreadsheet is changed as it won't automatically. Fortunately you can change it from one and then just click and drag the rest down. all a matter of making it go from (c7:v7) to (c7:w7), or whatever it calls for :}
    September 13 01:00 PM
  • ian b oh yeah of course! try ?White Wine? by Lil Peep and Lil Tracy out or if that doesn?t fit the tone enough, let me know. also, i?ll catch up on the songs i missed, my apologies, i didn?t even know i was apart of it lol.
    September 12 08:42 PM

    August 30 08:05 PM
  • tyman128 alright, thanks man!
    August 30 02:24 PM
  • tyman128 how do I join the September songs thing??
    August 30 11:34 AM
  • DoofDoof I am on my hols in Greece so only checking in occasionally for the next week - so I would be useless to you on this one I think?
    August 23 10:15 AM
  • Dewinged I'll drop by with a track Diva, just because it's you who asked ;)
    August 23 04:07 AM
  • neekafat Thanks for the reminder (:
    August 22 08:56 PM
  • zakalwe Looks like it having pleaded to return like an absolute sap.
    August 20 12:55 PM
  • ArsMoriendi Do you know how to highlight the entire area?
    August 18 01:33 PM
  • ArsMoriendi A regular copy paste doesn?t preserve box size, but I usually do that anyone and hope someone else fixes it haha.
    August 17 09:56 PM
  • zakalwe Ha. Exciting!! No rush on any responses diva it?s all just satisfying my own curiosities on years past. I told my wife I was emailing you and she though I?d completely lost my mind.
    August 6 10:27 PM
  • TVC15 Here's that YouTube synthwave playlist, unfortunately a couple songs are not on there tho https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLZRHc733aTIm_2UmX37GEDomZrEm3S-JA
    August 6 10:23 PM
  • zakalwe pinged an introductory e-mail over to you dude
    August 6 07:10 PM
  • zakalwe What a gent. Cheers diva, I?ll cobble together something.
    August 4 12:30 AM
  • Papa Universe a bit too late for that, but I'll be fine
    July 29 08:18 PM
  • Papa Universe You've been quite attentive to my lack of attendance, I see. Well, I'm more-or-less back, but I might jump off again. Health issues have been keeping me somewhat preoccupied lately.
    July 29 07:34 PM
  • Jethro42 Yes, but these pretty girls are getting old now...but you are right...There are still pretty women all around! Not only in Montreal, but in the entire Quebec. Like a sputniker once said, ''Les Quebecoises sound like something that taste good.''
    July 25 07:03 PM
  • Jethro42 I'm very close to Montreal. I'm two miles away from there, in Laval.
    July 22 10:27 PM
  • Jethro42 It's good to live in Quebec. There is a lot of resources. After working for UPS Canada for 15 years, my health started to drop. Since then (2008), i'm limited physically (muscular dystrophia and arthrisis), I developed anxiety and I'm not working anymore, so I do activities that i can, such as poems, drawings, drum machine and music center software to try to compose music. I also take an English course, among others. I'm considering volunteering, but I get exhausted pretty fast.
    July 22 05:59 PM
  • Papa Universe You can put any name there. I've been ?Banned" for about a year now.
    July 20 11:59 AM
  • Papa Universe I'm here.
    July 20 06:26 AM
  • Papa Universe that Memories of Love album is really lovely. it's always pleasant to discover a new Magnetic Fields side-project
    July 13 09:42 PM
  • neekafat Got it, I appreciate that dude!!
    July 3 05:47 PM
  • neekafat Oh gotcha! I'm not super into prog and I have a lot on my olate thanks to the cram list but maybe I'll try next year!
    July 3 02:56 PM
  • zakalwe Hello mate. Given that it will probably be the last time Pete and Roger are on stage and it?s at Wembley Stadium yep I am sorely tempted. Last saw them just over 10yrs ago and they were unbelievably good. They still had the magic.
    June 20 10:29 PM
  • Jethro42 Glad to hear that! Yeah enjoy yourself by doing reviews you want to do, although you obviously are of caliber to be staff. I'm looking forward to reading you!
    May 31 03:58 PM
  • Jethro42 Hey my man! It's about time to make a change! I hope all these metalheads are influencing you to come back reviewing. Would be good if you tried to forget the bad things from the past and go forward instead. I'd be reading your stuff. Btw, I think the two more popular styles on sput are metal and indie. You already did some indie. Let's do it and 80's stuff and prog once in a while. Go ahead, I tell you;You have nothing to lose.
    May 30 08:12 PM
  • Dewinged Yep! My criteria for my picks is the same :)
    May 28 03:04 AM
  • Dewinged Checking that Sting new album/comp and I'm not really sure some of The Police songs needed re-recording, it feels like all the magic is gone in these.
    May 27 05:18 AM
  • Jethro42 It seems we've spent all our resources. i've checked all my lists for searching for some potential members...What is left to do now...? Doing another list??
    May 13 05:03 PM
  • zakalwe Hello diva man. Thanks for letting us know, I?ve been away on a stag do for the last three days so assume I?ve missed it but I will be following events.
    May 13 11:29 AM
  • Dewinged Diva! Thanks for the invite man but you guys are way ahead my shallow knowledge on the genre and I honestly don't have time to commit to any comp right now. I will follow for some recs though!
    May 13 12:55 AM
  • TheSpaceMan Hey man, gonna pass, dont frequent the site enough these days. Hope its a good one and thx for the invite
    May 12 06:32 PM
  • manosg Hey Diva, it would be awesome to participate but I don't think I'll be able to follow through. Sorry buddy.
    May 11 06:44 PM
  • Jethro42 It's all fine, my friend. With all their keyboard's and synths sets, it's hard for them to not progging at least a bit, and their electronic symphonies and complex rhythm patterns suggest prog elements, especially in the early to mid 70s I can't wait to hear your nominee...
    May 9 08:48 PM
  • Frippertronics Good to hear, but I suppose it wasn't worth the headache. At the end of the day, the genre as it is just isn't for me anymore. The idea of being progressive is more appealing, but you can't please everyone.
    May 9 06:09 AM
  • Jethro42 Audacious choice, my man. I never considered TD as a prog act myself, even if they approach it at some point, and on Progarchives, the average rating of your album is 3/5, which is not that high for the site's standards.
    May 8 07:03 PM
  • e210013 Thanks, Diva. These are great news.
    May 6 10:10 AM
  • DoofDoof And assault is illegal
    May 3 07:53 AM
  • Jethro42 Steve Howe and Carl Palmer were absent for a long time too, I see. The classic lineup finally returned together for Phoenix. Asia feat. John Payne is under the usual Asia in Progarchives...for The tribute to British prog in any case.
    April 16 11:37 PM
  • Jethro42 No, I didn't know. Good that you added it to the data base. What happened to John Wetton for he was replaced by Payne for more than a decade...?
    April 16 09:05 PM
  • Jethro42 Oh! i first thought you were talking about Claypool/ Lennon material, cos you said ''heroic guitar'' that we can apply to them too. Yeah Mostly Autumn don't seem to tour except in UK and stuff, sadly. Again, you're right to call it heroic guitar. Guitarist Josh is obv influenced by Pink Floyd and Marillion. He also sings pretty much like David Gilmour. MA are from the folk side though, especially for the Findlay's era. Her vocals are more emotional and diversified than Sparnenn's
    April 16 08:43 PM
  • Jethro42 The Claypool, Lennon Delirium are actually touring in the USA, if we're talking of the same band. As you can see, they only have another LP, plus an EP that I have yet to listen to. You can also get some shows on Youtube. As for Mostly Autumn, I gave you more rather than not enough ;)
    April 16 06:09 PM
  • Jethro42 Try some of the Heather Findlay's era in this order; 1- The Last Bright Light, 2- Storms Over Still Water, 3- The Spirit Of Autumn Past, 4- Passengers, 5- Heart Full Of Sky, 6- For All We Shared. The latter and The Spirit Of Autumn past are folk albums yes, with kinda Celtic and Medieval leanings with Floydian vibes. Have fun my man!
    April 15 12:57 AM
  • Jethro42 Ahah yes, well said. Could you be victim of discrimination? Sure, your musical palette tends to be from the old school, oldie stuff. Imo, Your age couldn't play against you, at the contrary, it would bring maturity, wisdom and assurance. imo, they found you've written too much old stuff and they focused on it. We'll never know and it's a pity. What I suggest you is keep on writing for you, for fun and see where do you go from there. There's still longislandmusicguy though :)
    April 5 11:32 PM
  • Jethro42 I see. I think they select the candidates when they remark reviews are well written (it's obv your case), when it's indie music, americana or such (preferably, and you did some) or a style of your own, and when it's fresh new music (such as your last 2 years). If you derogate from this, chances are slim to make yourself a place. However, you fit very well into all these conditions. It's mysterious for me they haven't selected you. About your age, how could they know if you haven't reveal it?
    April 5 08:45 PM
  • Jethro42 Do you think there is favoritism? If it's the case, the balance doesn't necessarily lean towards you, in effect. There must be politics and ethics around the promotions, though. Personally, I've encouraged you in the past, and I thought you were not willing to become contributor on your own decision. But now that you made an important decision, I hope you can still enjoy Sputnik. Take things for today. and I feel you're alive and kicking, 62 is only a number Lol.
    April 5 02:23 AM
  • Jethro42 Hi sir, ask all your questions about the promoting to SowingSeason, he's a cool guy. Go ahead, especially if you consider writing as an outlet and a passion, and you know you write very well, and with a passion. You can find Sowing in my shoutbox.
    April 4 07:56 PM
  • Jethro42 One thing is sure, Friday is really friendly and mature, it's detectable at first place. Like we say in French, it's a man of a certain age :)
    April 3 02:58 PM
  • Jethro42 I have no clue about Friday, but if you ask me, he must be around 30yo, not much more according to couple of discussions I had with him. He never revealed his age, and he might be older than that according to all that vintage music of the 70s he's listening to. there were a time i thought he was younger cos of the way and the times he talked about his dad. So i'm confused in his case.
    April 3 02:51 PM
  • DoofDoof Cheers for the rec, the Patty Griffin is real nice, bit of grit to her voice
    April 2 09:04 AM
  • e210013 Yeah, it's true. Music keeps a person young-minded, really.
    April 2 08:37 AM
  • e210013 Jethro is right, I'm very open about my age and to talk about it isn't awkward for me. Still, I'm a bit surprised. I always thought that I was the oldest member here, but I was wrong. You are older than I am, because I'm 60 in this moment and I hope to have 61 in this year. But I was a bit surprised because I thougt you was younger, something between 40 and 50. So, it seams that you're probably the most senior of the site. Congratulations. Lol.

  • Jethro42 Welcome to the old men's bandwagon, mate! I feel less alone :) And don't forget to ask e21 about his age, to determine the actual known and ''official'' older sputniker.
    April 1 09:37 PM
  • Jethro42 I thought e21 were easily the elder. By the way, I did read your conversation with Papa before posting. Congratulation on probably beeing the elder of the site. it's debatable with e21 out of those i know, and those that are still active...
    April 1 12:36 AM
  • Jethro42 For some reason, I thought I was older than you, essentially because you're always outside to assist to a show or another, so I said to myself, this guy is doing the same i did when I was 20 and 30 yo...But i knew by a way or another, that you were older than that...but 62...? Mmh, I couldn't guess. i've never seen a sign of it, neither in your reviews or blogs or comments. e21 is 5 or 6 years older than me, and i turn 56 in two weeks. So you guys both have 62, I'm pretty sure.
    April 1 12:32 AM
  • Papa Universe well, we did have that adoption discussion a while back and I remember you saying that you adopted whilst being older than me at the time, but I always assumed you'd be maye in your late 40s at best.
    March 31 09:19 PM
  • Papa Universe is this how Drifter felt when he found out about my age?
    March 31 09:08 PM
  • Papa Universe are you really 62?
    March 31 09:08 PM
  • Papa Universe anyone can have comprehensive knowledge of the 70s nowadays. they're called hipsters and fags.
    March 31 08:59 PM
  • Papa Universe no you haven't
    March 31 08:49 PM
  • Papa Universe I'll be 44 in a month.
    March 31 04:30 PM
  • Dewinged Agree Diva, she has the voice already but her songs are pretty... light?
    March 31 07:39 AM
  • TwigTW Will do, thanks!
    March 30 06:14 PM
  • Jethro42 Hey Diva, there's already another Mostly Autumn LP out there.Progarchives gives it a very good score. I've added it to the database. It's available on Spotify, or on Youtube; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-qZNvJ2hCnA
    March 22 11:16 PM
  • DoofDoof The gypsy punk fellas? Have heard a few songs and maybe thought they were a bit too novelty? On the other side they could be another Tiger Lillies for me. Any recommendations?
    March 22 05:26 PM
  • neekafat I definitely understand that man, this site can be really frustrating at times. This was my third time applying too, I can imagine I'd be in a very similar place if I was passed up again too
    March 4 05:38 AM
  • neekafat That's fair man! Just don't forget that you're rocking a 97%, which is like way higher than my approval rating ever was. I had a hard time getting mine just over 80% for a while
    March 3 08:29 PM
  • neekafat That's fair, I guess a lot of it has to come from the love of writing itself yknow?
    March 3 07:39 PM
  • neekafat Oof I'm sorry to hear that man! I'll admit it is really hard to find time to write these days
    March 3 06:59 PM
  • neekafat That's fair man, I'd agree with you there. That being said, your style of writing is a bit at odds with a lot of what is on sput (not to say mine isn't, because it is too!) But I feel like you've got a bit of a too journalistic/objective voice, and I would love to see your own voice as a person/critic come out more in your reviews, and I bet that your writing would turn a lot more heads around here if it did (:
    March 3 08:34 AM
  • neekafat Thanks bb (: Was sad to see you not get the promotion ):
    March 3 05:18 AM
  • justmiriam Hi, my name's Maria. I'm an editor of Louder.me blog.I've read some of your reviews and found them nice and thought-provoking.You have good music taste, and I like the way you express your opinion! Are you interested in leading own author column in our blog?
    February 19 05:07 PM
  • neekafat Reed and Caroline write up is done!
    February 11 05:56 AM
  • neekafat MGMT write-up is done!
    January 14 01:33 AM
  • DoofDoof I keep finding 4.5 and 5 ratings so it is worth the effort
    January 5 11:11 AM
  • DoofDoof In fact I started 1989 this morning, pretty sure the 80s will be slower going than the 90s
    January 2 08:04 AM
  • DoofDoof I listened to even more albums! Not even pretending this year - keeping up this rate of exploration for 2019. I will slow down once i have worked my way through each year since the mid 60s in my deep dive series. So far the 90s and 2016-2018 are effectively completed. So a long way to go!
    January 2 08:02 AM
  • DoofDoof They're not entirely my sort of thing...but I prefer them to the Wombats. So that is a good start. I did listen to the debut and the new one...and I slightly preferred the debut.
    January 1 07:39 PM
  • butcherboy i remember their debut, nice spiky minimalist punk.. how's the new one?
    December 26 09:15 PM
  • DoofDoof Happy hols to you too - man, I haven?t heard the name Art Brut in years, I did listen to them a bit way before I signed up here. Any recs with them?
    December 24 10:40 PM
  • tyman128 thanks Diva, appreciate it!
    December 10 03:07 AM
  • deadcrown I really appreciate it. Thanks!
    December 4 04:37 PM
  • butcherboy hey.. how's stuff?
    November 4 09:59 PM
  • Dewinged For real man, I was trying to review it yesterday but just decided to give up and sound off it instead. The album is a torture, she is 85 and undoubtedly senile at this point. She deserves to rest her flailed mind already.
    November 2 01:13 AM
  • TwigTW I like that one, but it surprised me. It's nothing like their album that Jethro entered in the last prog contest. They've really changed their sound.
    October 20 05:40 PM
  • DoofDoof I'm still lurking around here but I'm not ready for the full comeback quite yet ;D
    October 13 07:52 PM
  • TwigTW "Too Old to Rock 'n' Roll: Too Young to Die!" hit close to home for me that night, Lol.
    September 25 07:33 PM
  • TwigTW Yeah Diva, I haven't seen Tull since the 70s. So Ian is a little less energetic than he used to be, but it was still a great show. It's the bands 50th anniversary!
    September 25 12:58 PM
  • coldheaven They usually do, but the booking company wanted to save money. They were also missing 200 names from will call, it was a whole fiasco. The same booking company used to book shows for my bands, and we would have similar problems with them.
    September 19 06:08 AM
  • coldheaven Actually yeah, the band itself were great. The crowd, however, was not. The little club I went to is smack dab next to a big art school, so lots of entitled freshmen thinking they know more about my city than I do. You could barely see the entrance due to all the vape clouds.
    September 19 03:46 AM
  • SowingSeason it's subjective but usually 2 weeks, 3 weeks tops
    September 15 09:15 PM
  • TwigTW The Tom Bailey is great. It doesn't sound exactly like the Thompson Twins, but it's not that different either. It's much better than I expected. Thanks for that.
    September 13 12:16 AM
  • TwigTW I do like the Thompson Twins. I'll give the Tom Bailey a go.
    September 11 04:47 PM
  • TwigTW Listened to that new live 'Yes' album and thought it sounded great.
    September 8 01:29 PM
  • TwigTW Yeah, they did a good job on that one. I like it a little more every time I listen.
    September 5 10:40 AM
  • SitarHero Just messing around dude. You called us Philistines (jokingly, I assume) so I called you David (of David and Goliath) because he fought the Philistines. Nothing serious was meant...except the disdain for The Mowgli's' heinous apostrophe usage.
    September 3 05:02 PM
  • Papa Universe I mean, I'm a big man-child, I don't need a third individual more mature than me in the house.
    August 8 02:30 PM
  • Papa Universe I'm happy with my cat.
    August 8 10:14 AM
  • Papa Universe well, thanks for the encouragement, but my wife and I thought about it and since nothing came along so far, we just figured that that's how it must be.
    August 8 10:13 AM
  • aaronrkc Alliance (the artist I added) is a Kansas City-based electronic producer.
    August 3 12:05 AM
  • butcherboy oh is it out? will check, his last one was decent..
    August 2 10:00 PM
  • DoofDoof I have, it were alright, three or so great tunes - rated it a 3 or 3.5 on the old account, I'll return to it before the year is out
    August 2 05:07 PM
  • Jethro42 His name is Luc DeLarochelliere. I used to see him every week ends. He did animate Catholic practitioner evenings with music, sketches. improvisation shows and different activities. I was playing bongos for him, and we were always went out to take a coffee after. Now this guy is well known here in Quebec. He released several albums and started an international career.
    July 24 01:22 AM
  • Jethro42 It's always pleasant to meet/frequent a well known artist. A brother of mine called me to let me know that Michel Vallee, bassman for the symphonic prog band Morse Code, was home to audition for my brother's band. He invited me and asked me to bring all my Morse Code cd's copies. I was amazed to see him beside me listening to his music, drinking a beer, talking about music and seeing his audition... Finally he left without a trace. I used to frequent a local singer songwriter in the late 80s.
    July 24 01:13 AM
  • Jethro42 What an experience for you! It's a cool way to promote your compo. John Ford seems to be close to his public. Do you have his phone number ? :)
    July 23 05:43 PM
  • DoofDoof Does your wife still sing? What style of bands?
