 | zakalwe Ello dude. Dylan is the greatest. You can start anywhere in the 60s where all the stuff is essential. The gems of the 70s (blood on the tracks and the basement tapes are two of my faves) but it's a treasure trove dude spotted with turds (leave self portrait alone.) Maybe start where I did and that was his 1967 greatest hits compilation. Get a feel for it and then dive in. Welcome to the real counter culture.

| Frippertronics yeah, Sonic Youth being labelled post punk makes more sense. They were based in the No Wave scene of the late 70s/early 80s in NYC, which, for the most part, was influenced by punk, jazz and experimental music. One group, James Chance and The Contortions, also were influenced by funk. Their first album is essential.

| 50iL Honestly, I think the record works around the theme quite well. It's not supposed to be romantic either, it's tragic if anything. And I think the charm actually lies in the originality of the record. But, yeah, there isn't much variety. If there was, it'd be a record with too much going on. Dunno, just my opinion.

| Frippertronics it's pretty mediocre, makes little sense by EVA's standards, and just s***s all over whatever happened in 2.0, which was okay. The previews for 3.0 compared to the finished product is what pissed people off. Anno essentially baited people and gave them something they weren't expecting

| 50iL Aqualung by Jethro Tull is pretty awesome. A lighthearted prog Rock record with amazing musicianship. If you check them, def check Thick As A Brick first though. One of the hardest 5s ever. Also, The Veils' Total Delravity is really sweet. If you dig ...Like Clockwork you'll love it. Has a very similar vibe.

 | AlexKzillion I got my sad boy phase out of the way freshmen and sophmore year and honestly right now I feel then ever. It gets easier to cope with overtime and eventually you can look back on it and laugh. Also the older I get, the more I hate math and the more I enjoy/appreciate English. But dude how in the **** are you in AP Physics, that class would give me a mental breakdown. Honestly idk why I take all those AP classes when I'm not even sure I want to go in the first place.

| AlexKzillion Finally getting back into the idea of being in a relationship again after taking an 18 month break, all just to ruin my junior year academics wise. What AP classes are you taking right now? I got US, Psych and Environmental right now along with pre calc.

| AlexKzillion Yeah I still got my v card. I've been in a fair amount of relationships but they don't last long enough to get to that point because I have the personality depth of a prequel character. Being a junior sucks ass man, I get like 5 hours of sleep a night now because of all the homework/studying. Getting good grades doesn't even feel like an achievement or even a reality anymore. Really can't wait for this semester to be over.

| danielcardoso Tough question, prob superunknown, dirt, vitalogy, in utero and dust, but they can change a bit every once in a while. Not really counting ep's otherwise jar of flies would be up there, and not considering mad season / temple of the dog since they don't really sound 'grunge' at all if that makes sense.

 | ScuroFantasma So I've been jamming Clockwork for a while now and while it's solid, it's my least favourite QOTSA album so far. Still a hard 3.5 (which could change) but it's kinda missing what I loved about Sky Valley and to a lesser extent Rated R and Lullabies.

| TVC15 I think the first half is really good but the second half is nowhere near as good. It may have been Onionbro that made the list but there was a list discussing what made an album overrrated (particularly on Sput) and considering the amount of staff wanking over the album, it's kind of turned into mob mentality to love the album

| iloveyouall what you're missing is that at one point you were tolerably bad, but then you just kept ramping down the quality of your contributions. my best suggestion is that you spend a few weeks off the site (or at least the duration of your ban, as i assume it is pretty short), and think about things a bit. figure out who you are and how you feel about that.
