 | Keyblade kinda, I use it like a wiki for some games lol. wassup, y'all still got that spur server? I can't remem my old account
 | Keyblade that reminds me, I made a similar playlist back in the day lmao. that album had potential man, was the last respectable record he made https://www.sputnikmusic.com/list.php?memberid=515826
 | Keyblade it's sad to see, but I guess it's kinda expected when you're in the game for like 15 years. I mean look at Kanye :[ . he was always kinda lame but he had that fire earlier on which I guess he lost once streaming became so ubiquitous
 | Keyblade man that's exactly where I am too. I cringe every time he comes on. yesterday I let Jaded play because that song is fire, but the lyrics were basically a groomer manifesto man wtf
 | Keyblade still in drizzy city. speaking of which, I still fw him? I honestly can't stand him anymore lmao
 | Keyblade just been living life bro, doing boring grown up stuff lol. going thru ur lists, Pots really turnt your west coast ass out lmao, great to see
 | Keyblade dude that's so sick. boom bap huh, this I gotta see lmao. I hope I'm here til the wheels fall off, this a special place man
 | Keyblade MY LIFE DEPEND ON WHAT IMMA DO TODAY, WHY I CANT MOVE AWAY?Drift how u been bro
 | botb Sick. Papitas 2 isn?t really the kind of jazzy hip hop I was talking about at all, it?s just really good. Icebullettheory in particular is so nice, he just floats on that beat
 | botb The Blachman album was cool, like the instrumentals more than the raps but it was a fun listen
 | botb Lmao right? That whole record is pretty good, I?ve seen him on some other features lately too.
 | botb Oh s***! Well I?ll take jazzy stuff with live instruments no matter what, but def check those
 | botb Also check estee nack/giallo point - pepitas 2, been spinning it constantly since it came out
 | botb Trying to find more jazzy hip hop with live instrumentals al-a the cinematic orchestra/roots manuva collab, or black thought streams of thought 2. I know the obvious ones mostly, just wanted to see what you could send me
 | jrlikestodance Thanks man! It's def tough, had a bunch of rejections for interviews I thought I nailed. I have a promising opportunity this summer though which is great
 | jrlikestodance Not yet ): Been a busy week with school and job hunting so I haven't dedicated much time to music. I haven't forgotten though and plan to soon
 | MillionDead Not yet, my man. Been depressed and having a bit of a black metal phase. I?ll bump it up the queue and listen to it tonight! Thanks again for sending it my way!
 | jrlikestodance Finally got around to it today! Dre's flows are great and really dug the G funk production on this. Didn't expect Melle Mel to be featured so heavily either. I really need to get more into West Coast raps
 | VlacDrac Thanks for the recommendation, I'm currently listening to Mission Infinite and it's really good.
 | Lasssie I love Two Conversations by Appleseed Cast so i think you might be right on that one! Have you heard Roots Manuva? Youre a hiphop expert so i bet you have lol. But a friend of mine showed me his song "Witness (1 Hope)" not that long ago and it was kinda dope i think so if u havent heard that one u could give that a go at least!
 | Lasssie Hmm lets see! I dont imagine i have any hip hop recs that you dont already know of! But if i remember correctly we also discussed Blue Nile a few years back so other genres than hip hop can go as well?
 | Lasssie Im sometimes a bit slow on checking out everything at once but i will def check Khayree and Young Lay too in the near future! They have been good recs so i dont mind. If that kind of spewing is wrong i dont want to be right!
 | Lasssie Ok! Damn nice! Ive always been a fan of pac but never read up on his life or lore that much outside of watching the biopic and documentaries but i will surely check that out. Thanks again for sharing your wisdom and good recs ;)
 | Lasssie Haha for real? Thats the kind of trivia i like! And just to imagine how it would be with pac on that album or on what track he would absolutely kill takes my brain to some interesting places indeed!
 | Lasssie Listening though Ray Luv Forever Hustler now and yeah it is good stuff. Just a straight up 90s good vibes rap record. His vocal delivery reminds me a lot of pac. Mac Mall kinda reminded me of Dubee so im diggin it!
 | Lasssie Cool! And thanks for the recs. Will get back to u once i get around to listening to some of them later this week hopefully!
 | Lasssie Yoo, Drift! Long time, but wanted u to know your last rec had lasting impact and i often listen to Dubee a.k.a Sugarwolf and Y.B.B Bomb is a top track. Do u have similar recs?
 | jrlikestodance Really only heard him on features like Big L stuff never dug in
 | Hawks Yeah that was a classic jam in the late 2000s. Still is. Yeah this album is classic mid/late 2000s production and I love it. Just wish the rapping was a bit stronger but like I said, I can look past it for the most part lol.
 | Hawks I know Duffle Bag Boy bro, thats the only one I know. Was on my football playlist when I was in high school lol. Wayne is a top 3 rapper ever for me tbh.
 | Hawks Cool bro. Yeah production on this album rules. I'm not too huge on the actual rapping, never been a huge 2 Chainz fan, but I can get over it lol.
 | Hawks I'm gonna turn it on right now!! I think you'll dig that David Banner album also. Yet another underappreciated gem from the 2000s.
 | Hawks Have you heard Mississippi: The Album by David Banner?
 | normaloctagon https://entertainment.ie/music/watch-snoop-dogg-says-hell-roast-the-fk-out-of-any-black-artist-who-plays-trumps-inauguration-256100/
 | Hawks Check my new list. :]
 | bludngorevidal hope you like it! you're not from Sac by chance are you? I lived there for a bit and am a lifelong kings fan
 | bludngorevidal All I did was stalk your Sputnik profile, spent a lot of time looking through your lists which is where the love for sac became apparent
 | unclereich coogi in tha winter with tha matchin beanie
 | Hawks **** I just noticed your message. Will check for sure buddy lol.
 | Hawks Tundra is a lost cause don't waste your time trying to rec him anything that's actually good lmao.
 | Tundra It's just this flow I associate so much with that boastful hip hop I don't like. Relistening and digging more this time.
 | Tundra I appreciate you recommending me something but that is just more of boastful rap I don't like much. There's just a very specific style of hip hop that I enjoy.
 | foxblood I appreciate it! It?ll be coming to all the platforms this Friday the 13th
 | foxblood https://thesandyclaws.bandcamp.com/album/blackest-christmas
 | foxblood I know it might not really be your thing but I'd love it if you could check out my album because I just am excited to share it with my friends and I value your opinion
 | Futures yeah for real man, it?s a really commendable and honorable thing. that thread was some pure beyond disrespectful nonsense.
 | Futures thanks for your service :salute emoji:
 | jrlikestodance You ever jam any De La Soul? Don't see you got any of their stuff rated or any comments . You might dig Stakes is High. If you've heard I can rec something else
 | unclereich I thought so! Just heard it recently it?s incredible
 | unclereich https://www.sputnikmusic.com/soundoff.php?albumid=217391
 | unclereich lol hopefully you saw that on the linkin park thread, too funny
 | unclereich Drifter, Sputnik is in no position to judge any user's favorite bands. This community gives 5/5 ratings to some of the weirdest average s***. No one person's opinion holds less weight on here.
 | Deez .....especially GFUNK stuff i should say. Always liked harder west coast stuff like Comptons most wanted,Cube etc I just generally like dark music and Gfunks too kinda uplifting and bright for me (beat wise)
 | Deez Unlike yourself mate just never been a massive west coast fan man it doesnt really vibe with me find A LOT of it just super mundane, Was watching some random 2pac doco and ran through a few old ones like that and can barely get through them.
 | SandwichBubble Never. Just a boring year for new music for me and busy with real life.
 | unclereich he really lives that life too, dude's a freak
 | unclereich he has an extensive catalog. Imo he doesn't really have a great cohesive album but has a ton of awesome individual tracks. not sure how he does it but his style of horrorcore just works imo. he feels like a better version of immortal technique.
 | JohnnyoftheWell you are an animal and a 2.5 and that album is a definition of mid math rock
 | unclereich https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ol8WcIrM0r8
 | unclereich you ever jam jakprogresso you'd probably hate it and think he's lame
 | foxblood I guess I made one a couple years ago. I added you or whatever. foxblood777
 | unclereich Sup dude, not much no. Been on a long grunge kick. I?ll have to peep a few things I?ve never heard of on your list some deep cuts there
 | foxblood do you still do the discord thing? I've never used it before
 | foxblood yo what up. I don't use discord but miss u and pots
 | bighubbabuddha Nice, if you haven't heard of Notorious B.I.G. deffo one to check
 | jrlikestodance I only know Dad from features and the Dogg Pound. Anything you suggest me to start with? Down to tap in
 | Hawks Gimme a bit I will give u some recs! :]
 | Hawks Gonna have to czech that one asap.
 | Hawks Damn I saw u 1.5'd the newest Flesh-n-Bone is it that bad??? :[
 | foxblood The rap music 3000 guy is so ****ing annoying lol
 | neekafat whats ur current fave snoop album
 | Dewinged Albums slaps. I'm no hip hop conosseur, you know it Drift! But I enjoyed it. Actually, I just added this one to the database 5 minutes ago, I think you'll dig it too! https://unlearntheworld.bandcamp.com/album/the-god-that-sins
 | Hawks Czech my list bro I need recs.
 | Hawks Yes bro I'm rewriting it lol.
 | DoofDoof Took me a few listens, definitely the more commercial type of sophisti pop - as much Simply Red as Blue Nile
 | foxblood i'll try to catch up on some of these recs
 | foxblood I recently found 'Young Mack T - As A Youngsta', I was impressed with it. he nails the g-funk sound
 | foxblood I'll check more murder one gangster stuff
 | foxblood nice Royal Flush 5, how is that album so obscure but so well made?
 | Jash Cheers man, gonna check that today
 | Titan agreed bro, funny story, I stole The Iceburg on vinyl from a small record shop near my house when I was 15. I can honestly tell you it's the only thing I ever stole in my entire life....
 | Pangea Don't forget to vote for the music league! only like 7 hours left
 | Storm In A Teacup Damn sounds like Born 2 Rap is essential then. I will jam today in car.
 | SlothcoreSam Yeah baby the DOC is back, and with a bunch of punks. Lol
 | SlothcoreSam All good my man, it's something a little different for you to check.
 | SlothcoreSam What do you think of this?? It is punkers and rappers. Codefendants - Crime Wave. https://codefendantsmusic.bandcamp.com/album/this-is-crime-wave
 | foxblood yes, I have found some obscure s*** from them for sure
 | Egarran Oh your 20k anniversary is coming up! Proud of you.
 | foxblood murder one gangster is good so far, I've just been listening to the first few tracks so far trying to get a feel for the members voices. There's a comment on one of the videos talking about how everybody in the town was playing it when it dropped.. I like to try to get into that headspace or context while listening to something like this. that's one of the coolest things about rap back then before the internet
 | foxblood check out steady smashin! by coolio da unda dogg. or the first album of his I added. very solid g-funk. his album with mac dre, 'Maccin' and Doggin' is really great and has crazy beats.
 | foxblood also, searching for info about someone with the name 'O.Z.' leads to nothing relevant in search engines
 | foxblood O.Z. is very obscure street music, it's not an artist that gets remembered so there is basically no info online about him anywhere, I don't know his story. He's from sac and was a part of the Philliated Click, which I can't actually even figure out the members of. I assume they had some connections, and a lot of the album is produced by Coollio da unda dogg who was very connected
 | combustion07 Add* autocorrect out here trying to kill my character!
 | combustion07 I've only heard Street Gospel and Are Water. Guessing I should check Smell My Finger out? I been meaning to dive more into his catalog fr
 | foxblood O.Z. has some amazing beats, hood attitude sounds like sonic 2 music lmao
 | foxblood perfect! no problem. I listened to it a few times before packing it, it really is an incredible album. I listened to it a ton years ago in this black truck I used to have. ever since selling that truck I never listened to the album very much and it sat in my collection, so it felt right to pass it on to you instead of hoarding it. I have so much other music already, so I'm glad you can enjoy it. the production is so amazing, it's worth having in the best quality.
 | foxblood the cd shipped out today, it shouldn't take long
 | foxblood there it is! i set the price to 400 so no one else would buy it, just make an offer of 40
 | foxblood https://www.ebay.com/itm/155374753087
 | foxblood cool I took pics last night, and I'll finish the ebay listing after I get off of work today
 | foxblood I have an ebay seller account, it'd probably be easiest for me to just make a private ebay listing and give you the link there and we can figure out the price there. it's worth about $70, but I wouldn't ask that of you plus it is used because I listened to it a lot. I was thinking somewhere around $40 with free shipping? I'll make the ebay listing and add some pics
 | foxblood https://www.ebay.com/itm/265994861199 unrelated but this is an amazing price for this cd new, I bought one
 | foxblood sure I'm down to sell it to you because I know you'll appreciate it, I could use the money to buy new music. I just listened to the whole cd to make sure it plays clean, it's in good shape
 | foxblood I just got a new cd player for my living room setup so I reorganized all my cds the past few days
 | foxblood yep it's sitting with my other cds I still have it
 | SlothcoreSam Yeah but not in a looooong time, will have to revisit again
 | SlothcoreSam It's pretty good, and underrated big time. I found it after I listened to Tha Eastsidaz.
 | Vinnymcscoop Drifter, R. Kelly got a new album. Hurry before it's taken off every platform
 | Colton i'm about to finish my last final tomorrow and then the evening walk will be so sick i might take some cough syrup or something for no reason
 | Ryus combination of things really. just graduated college and got a job so much less time to sput than before. i've become less of a fan of the the environment here recently as well. and honestly there's just too little discussion about stuff i actually care about. so i'll just be chillin over on rym mostly
 | Ryus im alive this just aint the place for me anymore
 | SlothcoreSam They already guessed it, Siul Hughes - Moments in Time. I never heard of him
 | JohnnyoftheWell save the day woah https://www.sputnikmusic.com/list.php?listid=200676
 | Keyblade yeah man, I shed a tear. the crown jewel of my g funk playlist
 | foxblood I've never heard of them, listening now.
 | SlothcoreSam Yo Drifter, new song of the day is up, Give us this day our daily Rec. https://www.sputnikmusic.com/list.php?listid=200376
 | Ryus i assume u already know this but friendly pressure remix by sunship is incredible. also check out acemo, start off with the track "where they at???" also the EP "hear the music" by paul johnson
 | Keyblade lol yea I imagine PH is more common out there. CHWM was big back in the day because of Oh Boy. still think that's his biggest hit
 | Keyblade yea the potential was there, but he was never a shiny suit dude lol. SDE is so underrated man, he really found himself with that one, it sounds like an underground record, it's so rawin my head CHWM is prob his best overall, pretty much every song is a banger but PH has the unforgettable/iconic moments lol
 | Keyblade it's good, he was still finding himself tho so he sounds like DMX mixed with Mase lol and the alb is a bit all over the place because of that. Death is one of my fav songs by him tho
 | Lasssie Understandable! Most of his albums have some bangers tho, but his collab with Kenny Beats was fire. You should check "Cosmic" and "Diet_" from that one. Listened to them so much the year it came out
 | Lasssie Eyo drift! did u hear the new Denzel Curry? "The Last" rips soo hard
 | Lasssie Yeah man and thanks for the rec! Still loving Dubee as well!
 | Lasssie Sorry late reply! was on a work trip earlier this week and talked about listening to Eternal 1999 and one of my coworkers told me about the Art of War being their masterpiece lol. will for sure check man
 | Lasssie WHich of theirs is your absolute fav? Will check out more of them no doubt
 | Lasssie Checked out Bone Thugs - E. 1999 Eternal. Pretty dope stuff that i need to listen to more. First thing i thought was that Joba from Brockhampton must have taken his rapping style from the thugs lol
 | Lasssie you got my hyped man! will get back to you when i get the time to listen through at least one album of theirz
 | Lasssie Yoo! Their early albums have actually been on my to listen list for to long so will try to get on it sometime this week my dude
 | El Olam What's with the mocking of my comment? Are you OK?
 | Keyblade 4real, I never understood why u did that lol
 | neekafat I forgive you but also I never recovered :'(
 | SmileNerd you're from sac?? nice i live in folsom to be exact but skate around sac all the time!
 | Lasssie Nooo Aesop is life, dawg! Hell yea i have jammed Dubee a lot so thanks for that rec! Float aint peak Aesop but it def has some bangers too!
 | SlothcoreSam Yeah, he has a bit to much poppy stuff going on, but when he's rapping half English half aboriginal languages it's pretty cool.
 | SlothcoreSam Yo, after a couple more listens, I bumped Goddammit to a 4. Also, there is some cool hip hop coming out of Australia this week. Baker Boy- Gela. It mixes traditional indigenous language and instruments, with modern day hip hop, pretty cool.
 | Lasssie Yoo Drift! I am once again addicted to Aesop Rock and thougt about suggesting you check him out if u havent heard him! Listen to 9-5ers Anthem!
 | SlothcoreSam I'll listen again tomorrow and see if I can bump it up
 | SlothcoreSam What? For Goddammit? There are some legendary tracks, but also a couple of duds. A bit too much cheese in the lyrics as well.
 | SlothcoreSam Yo Drifter, give us a song for SOTD. This month the theme is your personal entrance theme. What song do you want playing when you arrive to an event, work or whatever. We need some diversity.
 | Lasssie Yeah will def listen through the whole record! great stuff :) youre in for a treat, man, PE is soo good. Were obsessed with them a few years back (their five first albums anyway). The title track off of Man Plans God Laughs is also cool tho
 | Lasssie Broooo why isnt Y.B.B Bomb a 90s hip hop classic! baanger
 | Lasssie Wtf that Dubee album only got one rating! Im on it, Drift! Sadly i doubt im able to rec u hip hop you havent heard! Seems like you got that genre under control damn:)
 | Keyblade that's crazy bro. the song isnt on spotify anymore man no wonder I haven't heard it in so long
 | Ryus that was pretty good, his flow is cool
 | random Thank you, kind human. (Whatever gender you identify as)
 | Lasssie Yeah that one too is bae! Yeah this is most def the time of the year for this kind of music! glad u enjoyed:)
 | Lasssie Hanging Marionette, Fight Song and Innocent Violent Ordinary is soo good
 | Lasssie Funny enough that album is the one everyone raves about but personally i only like their debut and Two Conversations! I will eat my Vans if you dont like anything off of TC :)
 | Lasssie If we are talkin emo records you need to hear Two Conversations by The Appleseed Cast, bro! Listen to it every autumn for some reason lol
 | Lasssie Love the genre for sure and have actually not heard of them i think(?) before you mentioning them now. Just finnished the first three tracks and they give me Tony Hawk Pro Skater vibes (which is hella good) :)
 | Lasssie Drift my dude! I will actually give it a listen as we speak!
 | ONEPUNCHMAN Sweet Female Attitude - Flowers (Sunship Edit) is great thanks for recommendation!
 | Ryus sweet yeah i think youd love them. dedication 2 in particular is like my favorite mixtape ever
 | Ryus u ever heard the lil wayne mixtapes like dedication 2 and da drought 3?
 | Lasssie No problem dude! Yeah Rolling Thunder is the song that made me open my eyes for a-ha! Had the feeling you would at least like one out of all the songs :)
 | Lasssie Yeah man! Might not be Your style at all but those songs are super Nice and among my favs by a-ha! "Stay On These Roads" are also super Nice but thats one of their most known songs so u might have heard that one already
 | Lasssie Got some random song recs for you i figured you might like. Been on a a-ha roll the last couple of days and you should check their songs: "Rolling Thunder", "Waiting for Her", "Out of Blue Comes Green" and "Dark is The Night for All" to name a few. Understandable if it is not Your cup of tea but give em a try dood
 | Lasssie Small Hours is one of my all time fav song! Sends shivers down my spine! Playing Elder Scrolls and listening to music is so damn relaxing! Used to play the s*** out of Oblivion and listen to all the ballads of X Japan on repeat, but man i was obsessed with John Martyn for years! Agree on TTNG that the acoustic one isnt nearly as good as the "real" one but still cool af
 | Lasssie Fun fact: I bought both TTNG - Animals and the acosutic version of it on vinyl for my bf for his last birthday! dope album!
 | Lasssie Yoo! Same to you man! need more sput buds :)
 | parksungjoon new forms is top of the list yea . in a fair world it wouldve got the attention that goldie did with timeless
