 | RoundOnEndHiInMiddle so many people like to gloss over that type of stuff as insipid, but when it's done like that, it's honestly got a more unsettling and disturbing atmosphere than most of the "serious" metal bands do. genres like goregrind and slam and the like have a lot of overlooked gems

| Kman418 kind of weird. i started talking with a guy that i could actually potentially see myself ending up in a relationship with which is bizarre cause i didn't think that was even a possibility until like my mid 20s at the earliest really. im hearing back from film schools too, got into 2/4 so far with the last and biggest one coming up next friday (which im freaking out about rn). also im beginning to write the screenplay for another short that i think i'll film over the summer, and im hyped on that

 | Gwyn. I've been forgetting to check more of his s***. I've only listened to part 1 of Bang 3 and Sorry 4 The Weight (though I've heard a couple of songs from Nobody). The latter is filled to the brim with awesome

Actually, yeah, impressing/convincing other people and s***, that was partially one of things that turned me off ratings for a while bc people get so easily hung up on ratings, and its annoying having people point out your rating and then having to explain it if you want them to leave you alone (and there isn't even a guarantee that they will), so this simplifies it... And yeah, that too. As much as I do like trap, I have to admit I mostly listen to singles - Mixtapes are usually so damn long.

For a while I didn't rate, because throwing arbitrary numbers at everything just makes my head hurt thinking about it, but I really wanted to rate because it's useful for keeping track of what you've actually listened to and haven't, so I went with it... It's the only system I've tried out that really works for me tbh. And yeah, super pumped for more of his stuff. A bit disappointed ss3 was only 8 songs tho, but he releases like 30 a week so eh w/e

I'm going by a new rating system haha - Anything with a 5 to a 4 is one of my top 100 records (which, honestly, I should probably wear down to 50 cuz I still haven't really figured out which would be the top 100 be, I'm way too indecisive lmao) - 3.0s are for stuff I like (even love) but wouldn't go that high. Ss3 is the s***, 'Memo' and 'Digits' are ****in' jams

| Gwyn. and it doesn't help that when I just wanna spit s*** to get a reaction out of someone, I hardly ever think of what I'm saying. I just wanna put something there that I know will get them going. Maybe I really shoud leave or at least take a break from the site at some point (I already use it a whole lot less than before), I didn't have internet in October 2014 and honestly, not being here gave me the most peace of mind I've had in years. But habits... They're hard to shake off.

| Gwyn. I guess in a way the site (regrettably) left an influence on me that hasn't quite shaken off completely (I'm terrible at changing habits in the first place). I've always been a misfit and when I got into this site, I had no friends, so I was desperate to fit in and be liked within the community that I just acted like that because so many other people were too and with time it just sorta stuck. It's mostly rubbed off, but not completely

I don't usually say stuff like that (At least not anymore - I was as callous and immature as anyone else), so when I look to spit some s*** in order to spite someone I forget not everybody gonna take it lightly. | Frippertronics idk either really, but gotta disagree on Merzbow's side being better. Boris nailed it on this, that version of Akirame Flower and Sometimes they did are fukn ace. Tho Merzy started off nice with Goloka and ****ed it up with Planet of the Cows.

| Frippertronics tbh you probs wouldn't care for the earlier, ambient stuff but I think you'd like his stuff from Dead Bees onward because he starts to get more experimental in terms of using more electronic, noise, improv elements especially on Manafon.

 | Sinternet ahh man that's awesome, really good to hear you're doing well. I'm doing pretty good atm, been putting a lot more effort into my courses recently and seems to be paying off, my depression seems to have improved a lot recently so hoping that continues. Still need a jon though and to stop spending so much money on pointless s***, but got exams in like 2 months so all my time is spent revising.

 | BandNewbac in regards to gaspar noe, i'm pretty sure a lot of Koufars stuff is pretty influenced by his films, when he isn't yelling about lebanon that is. if you like films like cannibal holocaust and such you will definitely have a good experience.

| BandNewbac and also if you haven't seen any of Gaspar Noe's films i would highly recommend checking them out, in particular "irreversible" and some of his early ones i think you could find a lot of enjoyment in.

| BandNewbac https://tannergarza.bandcamp.com/album/alwaysi personally think its pretty much his definitive album considering its monstrous length and how well put together a lot of it feels. similar to regret it feels a lot like he puts time into the sound play and textures within the loops and allows them to progress naturally.

| BandNewbac thats really great to hear. yeah money is always gonna be tight you just gotta work around it and it sounds like you are doing fine on that front. at the end of the day money is only money and as long as youre happy i wouldnt worry too much about it. in my first years i got very caught up in money worries and not much else but i realized that it really isnt the most important thing with uni.

| Mort. ahh sounds good man, the uni life is great agreed. yeah i thought that would be your attitude towards it haha so much of it sucks tbh dont know why im pushing myself through it, Portal and Ulcerate are my recent listens and neither have impressed me greatly. and im gonna guess that scores out of a 100 so your doing really well? always hard to tell with unis around the world cos they all do things differently score wise. sorta coasting this year because its a foundation year so dont matter much

Currently on easter break from uni so im at home, just spending everyday in front of my laptop writing essays, reading and then going out and getting tremendously stoned so not much to say really.
