 | franconia Agree with the Reed comment. Even as a fairly big, but critical, fan of TVU, I'll gladly admit that Reed wasn't a great lyricist. He's a great journalist and a dull poet. Which is why his solo career sucks outside of a small number of songs. But he's remarkably strong on their self-titled album, where his poetry can be a bit aimless and laughable at times, but it's always honest, raw and vulnerable, which is the side I like more than their waves of noise on their first two.
