 | panagiotis Hi. Didn't login for ages. Yes Rebel Extravaganza rules. I was always shocked about how much I love it vs the world. Nice to see that there are more of 'us'
 | Hawks Doc what's up buddy?
 | dbizzles They ****ing ruled for a short time. Gonna have to jam them soon and let the legend live on.
 | BADBOY **** any and all that dont like legendary darkthrone!
 | parksungjoon missing lot of ratings gonna rectify that this summer hopefully
 | heck hell yeah dude. I don't know what everybody else is on about with their 3's and 3.5's.
 | CrimsonLies Cheers man, The Body's new album is so ****ing good
 | magicuba a baleful aura in the graveyard of broken gears, what memories ;)
 | unclereich glad to hear a fellow ugle fan, his music has changed my adult life tbh
 | Sevengill https://soundcloud.com/dzo-nga/rakshasa-demo-preview something like this
 | Sevengill sweet, works for me! I'll probably throw down some demo vocals just so you can hear my ideas on the timing. alex_newton@msn.com
 | Sevengill do you have a faster way to message? my facebook is /hyperviolet if you'd like.
 | Sevengill I know it doesn't give you much room to work with...we'll talk about what you like or if you'd like to play around with it. all the lyrics and song titles are based around the Dzo-nga mythos, or the Kangchenjunga Demon, and the mountain's Valley of Immortality.
 | Sevengill lyrics are already in the song comments. all ties into the album's concept. I've got them lined up with the music but you can mess around with them if you'd like.
 | Sevengill looks like it's only going to be 25-30 minutes, but it's ****ing tight. 3 songs around 7-9 minutes each and an instrumental. https://soundcloud.com/dzo-nga/sets/five-treasures-of-snow
 | Sevengill bruh can we weakling it up on this album
 | Sevengill Ah, I was hoping for a sample of the vox you'll be doing haha. Never mind, I'll get this hammered out over the next few weeks.
 | Sevengill Awesome, I'll keep you posted on it. Do you have any of your previous stuff online?
 | Sevengill What style of vocals do you do? I'm looking for WITTR type shrieks, but obviously something else could work that I haven't thought of.
 | Sevengill here's the core of a song I put together today. I've got three lined up as an EP, and I'll get to drums and vox after the basic tracks are recorded. https://soundcloud.com/taravana/rakshasa-core-tracks
 | Sevengill I we think talked a while back. Remind me what you play.
 | romulanrancor Hey Man, Not sure if you remember but you recommended "Plaguewielder" to me. I thought it was pretty solid, a little stale at times but still great. I think im going to listen to the rest chronologically now.
 | Sevengill Absolutely am! Email me and we'll talk. alex_newton@msn.com
 | melnadaiid ITS BEEEN 6 DAYS IM SO SORRY but yea jus sitting here watching the walking dead against my will jamming metalcore jams forever u know we jus livin out here
 | Hawks Sweet dude, those both rule too of course. m/
 | Tunaboy45 It's dream theater and 70's prog worship mixed with traditional BTBAM (at least that's how I see it)
 | Tunaboy45 okay man, no problem with that. what's up?
 | Hawks Very hard to narrow it to 5, but yeah I'd say those are about right for me.
 | Hawks Queen of Winter Throned, Bathory Aria, Of Mist and Midnight Skies, A Gothic Romance, Funeral in Carpathia
 | Flugmorph yeah i really liked them. i wrote a pretty long soundoff if you're interestedonly problem was that the two guitarrists still played pretty sloppy
 | Flugmorph living infinity is a mdm masterpiece indeed.
 | Flugmorph panic broadcast on the other hand has some quality songs that are really unique for soilwork standarts.
 | Flugmorph lol oki often heard that stabbing the drama is somewhat of a nostalgia record for many. since i heard all ov them records basically at the same time 2 years ago, i dont feel it.
 | Flugmorph how could you rate stabbing higher than panic?
 | Flugmorph Soilwork Stabbing the Drama 3.006.25.15 Soilwork The Panic Broadcast 2.506.25.15
 | dixoncocks Did you ever go to The Globe in Bethlehem?
 | dixoncocks Thats sick dude! I used in a band with the guitarist Cam from The Air I Breathe way back in the day and would go up there all the time and watch them play. I ****in miss that venue. By any chance were you at the Carnifex/ Impending Doom/ Molotov Solution show there that got it shut down for a while. That s*** was so fun.
 | chinesewhispers Yeah for sure man people that diss Bjork aren't real people to me nahmsayin
 | Balerion hell yeah they did. Are you from Chicago as well?
 | Spec Playoffs baby !! Did NOT expect this when the seasons began.
 | Spec Waaaat. That's tight. I almost hit the calgary vs montreal one but had to work.
 | Spec aww yea another sput hockey fan
 | Titan He wasn't good for us. It was a shame but I'm glad to see him doing well now.
 | TheCollectiveFacade Absolutely, his biggest flaw seems to be the inescapable odds of coming to terms with the truth of his own vain reflection. The irony of it all is that he is one of the greatest minds to touch the world of villainy, yet his greatest enemy is nothing more than a mirror itself.
 | TheCollectiveFacade Impressive, if you were to compare your 'dark passenger' to one villain it would be vic?
 | TheCollectiveFacade Do you have a spiteful perfectionist complex like victor too? haha. I feel yeah bro
 | Gyromania bone machine is pretty jazzy so far. i think dirt in the ground is my early favourite atm, and maybe one of the best waits songs i've heard
 | TMobotron Check it out ASAP man! IMO it's the most similar thing to Blue Velvet out of Lynch's work, and it has probably my favorite soundtrack ever. It's a little inconsistent at points, but it's my personal favorite work of his, and every episode he writes or directs is just fantastic.
 | Artuma all is good m8, what about you?
 | TMobotron And the dreamy feeling that tracks like Detroit have really remind me of the juxtaposition between the happy, soap-opera vibes and the dark underbelly of the towns in Twin Peaks and Blue Velvet, both of which I love completely.
 | TMobotron Thanks man. It was one of the best movies I've seen in a long time. I absolutely love movies that have a dark, eerie, surreal atmosphere like that. The S/T was so insanely good.
 | Hawks Yeah dude they're my favorite.
 | Flugmorph hahahaa truuuuuuuuuuuuureview ratings dont count as actual ratings?but anyways. there just numbers hehe
 | Flugmorph yeah symphonic black is not really a fav of mine but its a solid record like you said.anyways, you like the idea of creating a voting list for best dm album of dem sputnikkers?
 | Flugmorph nice digs. new leviathan did little for me tho, don't know why
 | Flugmorph on a ****ing amazing binge right now. seldom have i enjoyed music so much omg im so happy :D
 | DrGonzo1937 It's just a bit of special card stuck to a slimline digipak. Not great. I think the vinyl will definitely be the way to go.
 | Titan It's my favorite Maiden too!
 | DrGonzo1937 Decent score, man. It's such a great album. The phyisical CD is a bit of a letdown though.
 | Veldin Thanks, man. Have you read "The Long Road Out of Hell" by him? Pretty good read.
 | DrGonzo1937 Thanks a lot, buddy. Very much appreciated. How you digging it?
 | danielito19 have you seen them live? I'm so jealous, I live in a town they'd never play.
 | danielito19 yeah self defense family is probably my favorite currently active band
 | calgarydude12 Saw them about 2 years ago with Torche, it was insane. Most kinetic show I have ever been too. And seeing them in April when they are on tour with At the Gates
 | Futures your rating for static prevails makes me want to vomit
 | thacoconut94 You're like the nicest user on here man haha, you keep spreading that positivity brother
 | calgarydude12 Converge is probably my favorite band so you have good music taste too
 | thacoconut94 At first with jane doe I wasn't feeling the vocals but I listened to the whole thing and I really enjoyed it tbh
 | JokineAugustus Ya they say they will for sure have an album out sometime this year. So stoked, its been so long since Awake?, which I enjoyed more than most people here.
 | JokineAugustus Sweet man. I've been listening to them since 05 or 06, and they're still one of, if not my favourite band ever.
 | VinVal You rock bro, but yeah Snorre still rules tho the scene wouldnt be the same without him really
 | VinVal I spam this album alot around here but check out Thorns' self titled debut, industrial/black metal from the early norwegian scene w/ satyr from satyricon on vocals, if you havent really amazing album
 | VinVal Nice ratings, keep it kvlt
 | Artuma that's the only acceptable rating for it
 | Artuma thank u sir. your king 810 rating looks pretty accurate as well, seriously that album is pure idiocy
 | JokineAugustus Cool new user dude. Unless you were here before under a different moniker?
 | Crysis Thank you, glad you enjoyed it! Still remains one of my favorite black metal records.
 | Artuma hostage situation and cadaveric always hit me the hardest, as well as staring down the barrel (especially on innominate). band is lyrically, technically and emotionally just perfect. really wish they'd come back at some point
 | Artuma it's literally flawless. and i listen through the whole off minor discog maybe once in a week lol
 | Artuma i think that review is awful, would neg it hard if i could. the rest of my reviews are better. and yeah off minor is the best band ever
 | ricardohrr At this point of view you are right, Post-Hardcore is a broad genre like pop-punk, but I still think they are Post-Hardcore because of their firsts records, but this discussion is nice and I aprove your comment man!
 | ricardohrr Hey man, thanks for your comment in my list, but....whay do you thinks that ADTR isn't a Post-Hardcore band?
 | Wizard They should have never used the guy from Paradise Lost (pretty much why the album irked me the most). They've always felt like death-doom band three steps behind everyone or they're just flat out boring.Anytime you need anything regarding metal recs or knowledge into this site, let me know ; ).
 | Wizard Don't ever be intimidated around here because of "strong opinions". The few of us who've existed throughout the years will see how you've formulated an argument around your opinion and reward you as such. Look at my ratings, there's music on this site that's praised that I find revolting and I could give two ****s what people think if they're going to criticize my taste in music. Here's a good example, the new Bloodbath album should be a 1.5, not a 3. It's hallowed out dm.
 | JohnnyoftheWell Haha I bet it was! Sadly, I live in the UK so probably won't be able to see them any time soon
 | Wizard Mine too as of this point in time. Thanks for the compliment, I wish I had the time to review more.
