| SachikoM Fair enough. I've preordered because all of the singles so far have been primo JB, and because I also hope to review it. I think that there's a lot to be said about JB's growth as an artist, and I would also like to convince the haters that it isn't something that you can instantaneously dismiss... "Night Before the Rain" sounds like it'll jam. I've not heard Cassy's voice yet, so it'll be a bit of a surprise, and combined with some sweet piano, it could be ace. Colour-me-intrigued.

| SachikoM I checked that black tide song you linked me..... I feel very similar,to the way I do with most metalcore. It wasn't bad per se, I just felt that it seemed very uninspired and bit like hey we're going through the motions, I guess. It just didn't feel like they were putting their all into it, and considering the fact that I'm not a huge fan of the style anyways, it makes enjoying it that much harder.

I just get all anxious when people talk about spending large amounts of money because I don't have that liberty, but in this case it seems pretty well justified. If you were just buying it because it had a cool name or something, I'd probably be pissed, but then again, I 'm just some guy on the internet, do what makes you happy. (^_^)

Last time I spent anywhere near that much money was when I bought myself the new Koufar on vinyl (and that was only 65 aud, including the exorbitant shipping). Have you played any of the other games in the series? Do you know it's worth the $$$?

| SachikoM Australia is a really expensive place to visit tho, flights cost a fortune, food costs a fortune, accommodation costs a fortune (especially since housing inflation has ****ing exploded). I'd recommend a place like France, because hot women, nice climate, and good art (although they may be feeling the effects of the Middle Eastern unrest). Japan is my #1 place I want to visit, it's so fascinating. The culture, the music, the food, it's all really unique.

| SachikoM I live on water and wine, so I guess I'm just used to it. ****ing draining weather tho. You can only take off so many layers before you start trying to skin yourself or end up getting arrested for indecent exposure.... I almost got cited once for being naked in my backyard during the heat, everything just feels so ****ing uncomfortable. It sticks to you, and sweat permeates everything. As I said, give me the cold any day.

| SachikoM ****... I remember there was a day a few years ago when it almost hit 50 degrees = ~120 Fahrenheit. We usually get one day a year like that. Absolutely ****ing disgusting weather. Give me the cold any day.

| SachikoM I am well inland in Australia, so my average temp is well above national average, but in the summer it averages around 40 degrees Celsius = ~104 Fahrenheit. In the winter though, it's usually around 15 degrees Celsius = ~60 Fahrenheit. A lot of people are scared of Australian wildlife, as there are various dangerous species, but if you head down south (especially Tasmania), you can avoid them, and see the more beautiful and intriguing animals (platypus, wombat, Tasmanian devil, quokka, etc.).

| SachikoM Australia is not that bad. It's a nice place to visit (assuming you stick to the big cities), but the rural areas are riddled with crime and other issues. For example, the town I live in (Walgett if you're interested), has a lot of drug and alcohol abuse issues and as a result a lot of violence. They even recommend we stay indoors after 7:45pm, but places like Sydney and Melbourne are nice (I cannot attest to Melbourne, i haven't left my state lol). Australia's great for wildlife lovers too.

| SachikoM s***, colour me intrigued. I'll keep tabs on your progress, and I'll check it out when it releases (assuming I'm not super-duper busy or anything). Weed is not on the agenda here, everybody is up in arms about stupid bulls*** regarding immigration and religion. It doesn't help that Australia is the ****ing redneck dystopia of the Earth, but even if it weren't, I don't see marijuana being legalised for a while yet.

| SachikoM That is pretty ****ing rude. The worst I've had was a neighbour of my nan's was retiring his roof, and spraying them with paint, regardless of the fact it was windy as ****. He ended up spraying enough for it to blow onto my nan's house. We told him to repaint the house and/or pay for the cost of getting it repainted. He told us to get ****ed. We never got back at him, but we will one day. Guy was a ****ing prick.

| SachikoM Yeah, i know what it's like. When my family moved to a unit that was filled with previous tenants possessions, we contacted them, and asked them if they intended to collect them. If they said no, we compared and threw out the s***, and kept the good stuff.

| SachikoM The dude can sing, but it definitely wasn't my cup of cleans. I mean, I prefer cleans that are a little bit flawed (see: Penfold, or mineral), without the overly-polished feel. Still, that's just my subjectivity kicking in, I'm probably just not cut out for this most confusing type of music. I'll try a few more and see how I go.

I didn't hate it, per se, but i found it a displeasurable experience, in the sense that it left me with more questions than answers. | Angelboros Hey, if you dug Blood Stain Child's Mozaiq, then I suggest giving Epsilon a go. IMO, it's a more consistent offering from that group and features better vocals; Sadew basically just comes off as an Anders Friden impersonator.

| SachikoM Yeah, I just don't see how region would really affect sound that much, I thought it might have some unique characteristics or something. Kinda like German Power Electronics tends to be largely rhythmic and more influenced by the German electronic movement, whereas American PE (especially no coast PE) is almost just straight noise and hate.... Anyways, I'll keep an eye on the list, suss it out from time to time. Kudos for making a list that will probably get shat on. Ballsy move. :]

| SachikoM Well, I sit my final high school exams in the next few weeks, so I'm just happy it's all eventually coming to an end. I'll finally be able to concentrate on what I want to do, rather than what they want me to know. I think that going through s*** has allowed me to grow as a person. As they say (as cliché as it may be), what doesn't kill you makes you stronger....and I'm still here, so I must be strong as **** (if I say so myself). It's all a process of growing.

| SachikoM Well, I've experienced it too many times in real life to not wince when i see it happening. Hell, I've had my fair share of bad moments on here too... You just grow used to it, you develop a thick skin. There are just certain things that make me hurt, but I can bottle most of it now. I just try to avoid the bad people and stick around the nice ones. :]

| SachikoM I'll give you a mixed bag of recs (I feel like I have the most maligned listening habits on this site, outside of yours): Black Thread - Meadowlark (Premonition) [drone], Penfold - Amateurs and Professionals [midwest emo], Bedhead - WhatFunLifeWas [slowcore], Pedestrian Deposit - Fatale [harsh noise (might be a bit too much??)], Swervedriver - Mezcal Head [shoegaze/alt rock]. These are all relatively accessible, so give them a shot. Take it easy, no point in letting trivial s*** get you down.
