 | JohnnyoftheWell Your ~Random album is Your Infamous Harp - Prah Suomafni Ruoy! You have until June 28th to submit a review, hit up the thread with any questions. Good luck! :]:]
 | Ryus glad to hear u dig it, its always on my summer playlists. parts 2 and 3 are just as worthwhile :]
 | normaloctagon ok yeah totally i getcha. and yes!!! more genre representation is always good. i'll definitely keep an eye out for your shtuff. did you catch the new Dominique Fils-Aime release 'Three Little Words'? kompys rec'd it to me a little while back and it's probably my favorite rnb from this year, give it a spin if you're so inclined
 | normaloctagon haha u are probably right, i missed a lot of that by virtue of not being on the site at the time but have made a few dumb/meme comments on the thread recently, all in good fun of course. what's brought you back to orbit on the satellite?? looks like you joined almost a decade ago!!
 | normaloctagon yes of course!!! and ooohooo sounds like a cool one, looking forward. if it's a negative gecs review you'll be my new favorite user but no pressure ; )
 | rabidfish if you like Baudrillard, you should also check out Byung-Chul Han, a corean philosopher. He's cool.
 | rabidfish i haven't read the guy, but i've studied the I.S. in uni. It's interesting, i should pick up the society of the spectacle some time.
 | luci glad you enjoyed! anima mundi is so mesmerizing, looking forward to your write-up
 | hal1ax yes zizek talks about him often. he wrote around the same time as the first wave frankfurt school guys (he was very close with adorno). very similar to Fisher though: neoteric cultural / socio-economic critiques in the marxian perspective
 | hal1ax mark fisher is the man. have you read any walter benjamin?
 | Trifolium Hi! The new Song Of The day thread is opened and you haven't participated yet. Care to join again this month? We would be happy with the recs!https://www.sputnikmusic.com/list.php?listid=189442
 | ShitsofRain Second half of Murder On My Mind is killer.
 | ComeToDaddy The closing 2 tracks on Woodfall were probably my top 2 from last year, it was the same case for a lot of people. Let me know how you find it (:
 | PappyMason Yeah, John Talabot is the man. Fin and his DJ-Kicks are must listens!
 | SachikoM You might like the Koufar and Pogrom recs (especially Koufar) then. Vomir is wall noise (the epitome of HNW), so you most likely won't like it....
 | Ryus cool man, i feel like you'd dig doppelgangaz a lot
 | SachikoM The others are nowhere near as comforting (probably to the point of discomfort), so if power electronics/noise isn't your thing, tread lightly. Glad you enjoyed black thread. It's one of my favourite ambient/drone releases. :]
 | JamieTwort Not all of his stuff is singer-songwriter folk, he's done a lot of ambient stuff as well. He's at his best when he mixes the two styles, which he does on most of his albums (as opposed to his EP's and other non-album releases) apart from his latest album which is pure ambient. Lasted and Temper are the albums I'd recommend starting with as you liked A Coin on the Tongue so much.
 | danielito19 very diverse album, she's a very talented producer. one of my favorite things i've heard this year
 | ShitsofRain thanks^^ found out about it here https://rateyourmusic.com/list/At_SwimTwoBirds/if_you_drop_it_right__gonna_make_us_move_all_night__the_best_dj_mixes_that_ive_heard/
 | Hyperion1001 yeah that track is sweet but i got the whole album and its kinda flat tbh. and yeah i hadnt heard it until recently and it blew me away, such a good ambient album.
 | Hyperion1001 ever heard this?: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6KPv7dJTGSI
 | Phlegm Glad you got around to checking it man! Field recordings can be really rewarding amongst all those isolating vibes, though a lot of it is hit and miss. I guess I just have an interest for those super layered soundscapes, if you're looking to check something of similarity then I definitely recommend Vanessa Rossetto's Whole Stories - my AOTY from last year ;-) also I've been meaning to check out that Bitch Ass Darius album ever since I saw that pretty cover 2 years back.. What's it like?
 | Hyperion1001 not really into noise that much no but your description makes it sound awesome as hell, ill check it out for sure.
 | ShitsofRain man frankie's mos mix is infectious as hell
 | Phlegm also the new Xosar album is relentless af
 | Phlegm i feel you'll dig this buddy https://opaltapes.bandcamp.com/album/perfume-advert-200-gamma
 | Phlegm thanks chief, gonna check it out in that case - haven't had a good memphis fix in ages. went through a stage last year when all i listened to was it's dusty cowbells and sloppy flows, such an underrated genre
 | Phlegm yeoooow banga! hey how does Chpt. 2 World Domination compare to Mystic Stylez?
 | Phlegm been in love with this EP lately https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rUYQSDgPdkY
 | ShitsofRain i definitely have to but rym recommends me his nyc boiler room mix lol
 | ShitsofRain I really got to thank you for sharing scroblr.fm. It makes life much more easier.
 | Ryus that's great to hear, i'm glad i introduced you to some new music. yeah, dream catalogue has a lot of cool stuff
 | MrSirLordGentleman Being looking for something like Madeon, will check!, thanks for the recs!
 | Phlegm ahh that cut off, but yeah this should be enough to start ya off! i also suggest talking to s***sofRain, he knows the genre better than me and will be able to hook you up with some goodies
 | Phlegm the other Teklife members have some neat stuff (Earl, Manny, Taso) but tends to dwell in inconsistency, which is one of Footwork music's biggest and somewhat reoccurring flaws. Other dudes like Cakedog (Ahnnu alias), DJ Roc, Paisley Parks, Patrice
 | Phlegm for sure man! i'm not actually familiar with mall music but i can hook you a couple essentials - naturally there's Rashad, who's style developed to become pretty melodic. My favorite album of his (and maybe out of all footwork) is Just A Taste, though you might find his later projects more accessible. RP Boo's Legacy is essential, as is Traxman's Da Mind of Traxman. Spinn's Man I Do It EP is wicked, specifically the track 'LOL' - that one really started my interest in Juke.
 | Jots sup dude, any dece upcoming albums worth keeping an eye out for?
 | ShitsofRain or just get this http://www.discogs.com/John-Thomas-Caught-In-The-Act/master/249221literally banger after banger. recommended if u like jeff mills live at the liquid room
 | ShitsofRain bang https://soundcloud.com/principepromos/pr001-cd-1-dj-s-di-guetto-6
 | Valkyrion track 2 was pretty interesting i admit. I love BoC but I don't play them too much since i like to play diff artists every time and come back to my favourites occasionally.you should jam Skinny fists some more, it is admittedly less immediate than their early works. i was like you at first listen and didn't think much of it but it got better every playthrough.. especially Staticalso glad to see we're 2 of 10 people who jammed Disintegrating landscape
 | HalfManHalfAmazing yeah still tippin was always my fav off that. dude that nardo akaru beat is bad ass i love it :D
 | Valkyrion yeah I know secede. heard some of Bye bye gridlock traffic like a week ago or so and it was nice stuff. maybe i'll put it on again this week, can never get enough of soft electronic stuff
 | bach damn this is charming
 | bach nothing much man what's up with you? and i love secede dude. it's been a while since i listened though gonna do that now
 | HalfManHalfAmazing hey thanks man, loving the recs especially the Nightmares on Wax and Ulrich Schnauss. I've actually heard Selected Ambient Works before and I don't like Friendzone's non-collab stuff nearly as much as i thought i would
 | Hyperion1001 haha no that isnt my channel i just found that track on youtube lol. and also that track rules man i wish i lived somewhere where that kind of music got played. i remember the under 21 days but it doesnt even matter here cause no music lol
 | Hyperion1001 you ever listen to any aspen? its cool ambient IDM with a really detroit flavor to it. pretty awesome tbh: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dcseOcO7F_s
 | Hyperion1001 yeah i saw that but unfortunately im all the way on the east coast. actually im in the south and nothing even remotely resembling a club that would house objekt is anywhere near here lol.
 | Cygnatti i rly hope so . but no rush my man :]
 | Phlegm yisssss added, stick it out fam

 | RoyalImperialGuard Autumn-This Hating Tree. Pretty much The Cure with female vox. i love it.This Burning Effigy-To Bestial Gods. Essential 80's Irish goth. Very dynamic. Male/female vox.The Damned- Phantasmagoria Punk/Goth/Experimental.Deathcharge-Bad Dream for some new school stuff.Euroshima-Gala. Brazillian alien keys sounding goth stuff with female vox.The House Of Usher-Stars Fall Down. Joy Division with more atmospheric horror synth.Just a few more now. Pozt more later when sober.
 | danielito19 it's dope, somewhere between autechre and aphex twin
 | danielito19 that song goes quite hard thank you very much. you doing a year-end list? still trying to round out my own
 | djunior Glad youre enjoying it! As far as I know, everything releases on Power House is just Shed monikers. Only other things Ive heard are WK7/Head High- Do It Yourself, and WK7- The Avalanche, both of which are pretty enjoyable imo, but dont really touch Megatrap.
 | Lethean really dig cybotron what are some other like essential 80's tech i should hear
 | SkaCali i havent tbh but i probably should, whish artists would you recommend? i do know this sweet canadian house/techno label called 1080p , they released a bunch of stuff this year :)
 | Hyperion1001 nope but ill def check it out now, love that convextion album.
 | Hyperion1001 u heard this album before? its really sweet, its like dub/minimal techno with a strange detroic aesthetic: https://rateyourmusic.com/release/album/convextion/convextion/
 | Frippertronics that's good to hear. I'd suggest Something/Anything (more balanced on the pop/experimental) and Todd (far more heavier on the prog, an expansion on the sound of Wizard). Also, checking out Utopia's debut album, another proggy album by Todd's band released around the same time as Wizard and/or Todd. Fun fact: the guy did the "Bang the Drum all day" song that was on cruise commercials all the time in the late 90s-mid-00s.
 | Hyperion1001 yo this kicks ass, just the kind of stuff i want to hear right now. grabbing asap thanks bud.
 | Phlegm holy s*** bangaz is right, LOVING the Fantastic Man and Sound Stream tracks ~ groovy as helllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll =D i'll hit you back with some of that good this weekend, gonna go on a journey into the House realms
 | Phlegm eek nice! i've been on a bit of a house adventure lately as well, digging up a lot of stuff on RYM and through some cool youtube channels. i've been meaning to check Yagya cause treeqt played a track from them in plug and i was wowed, thanks for the reminder i'll dl it now! if you discover any other nice house/techno from 2014 then be sure to pass them on to me =]
 | Phlegm OOPS just saw your rating for it haha, scratch that
 | Phlegm have you heard Koch?? given it some time and it's grown to my probable AOTY -- i think you might like it given your dub tech ratings ~~ try it out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IhYAnT-Z5gM
 | Jots do you like downtempo at all? if so, you might enjoy this Snowday album I reviewed yo
 | bach bt and andy stott rule man i'll check out the others though
 | bach appreciate the rec man
 | Hyperion1001 had to add this one, forgot how sweet it was until you played it earlier.
 | frigyourgenre not huge on UTQC but your dead is great and his EPs all rule as well.

 | YakNips i will listen to these fam, thx you. stay strong
 | PappyMason Yeah man, that album is pretty special. I need to hear 'Sleepygirls'; I've really been slacking on 2014 stuff.
 | facupm ah dude many people do, dont worry... and yeah convulse does rule, they are finnish after all
 | ChoccyPhilly My soundoff summed it up but it's definitely something that requires more listens and it was close to being a 3.5 anyway
 | YakNips thank u bb this is wonderful
 | YakNips can u rec me things that sound like how your profile picture looks
 | ChoccyPhilly Sweet, cheers! Will check either today or tomorrow
 | ChoccyPhilly Song was good! And I never really got Soulseek. I think I tried it once and it confused me so much, so I avoided it from then on. Is there no official stream or something?
 | ChoccyPhilly I have him digged and i've tried listening to his new LP several times before, but i couldn't find a stream. Will listen to the link though
 | YakNips no prob yo anything for my bae
 | YakNips this is that song thing https://lordakaru.bandcamp.com/track/--4
 | ArsMoriendi Check Ministry's compilation "Early Trax" and their album "Twitch", it's their only stuff that sounds like that.
 | Jots yeah man, though I think TBmobotron has one planned, but do it up anyway
 | Jots apparently phlegm is on top of it so maybe he'll hook a boi up
 | Jots not yet, hyperion said there was a s***ty version on soulseek but that's it apparently...
 | Phlegm yeah there's 320s on slsk, i'll cook you guys up a link later on tonight
 | Jots I enjoyed it most when I was just lying down, free from distraction. I'm obviously super biased though, so I can see some people being bored with it
 | Jots did you ever check out the new Hammock?
 | Jots I was just checking out Objekt earlier today, sounds dope so far
 | Jots Nice taste. Any upcoming albums you're stoked for?
