Megadeth utterly copied Metallica as a wanton attempt to get popular, but made music 10x worse than anything Metallica was doing...yet Megadeth got way less enmity for it. Mustaine has flat out admitted on multiple occasions that Risk was recorded because "hey, Metallica went softer and got popular. If I'm gonna get popular, this is the only way" yet braindead Megadeth fans will still call Risk an "artistic merit" and that "Dave was following his heart and doing what he wanted."
