If you trust my taste this should be very convenient for you because it displays the genres for each release so you don't need to click to much. Just choose something that sounds interesting to you based on genres, again, if you trust my taste (i don't think i have you on my compatibility list tho :D)

| altertide0 basically everything he has ever done (so more than 100 albums) except bad timing, eureka, insignificance, the visitor and halfway to a threeway is some kind of experimental music. my fav is his duet with Mats Gustafsson (best sax player ever btw), Xylophonen Virtuosen (from 2000) whose last two tracks (half the album) are just mindblowing. But I think the best entry point would be I'm Happy, and I'm Singing, and a 1, 2, 3, 4 (from 2001), which is still great but also liked by a lot of people.

| altertide0 i wouldn't say they were more stripped down and folksy than the rest of the prog at that time -imho Tull's Benefit from 1970 meets both criteria. but even if i agreed with you, still, for me after their promising 1969 debut renaissance just gradually devolved into this awful watered-down version of prog that sounds like prog but feels superficial like new age music.

| Valkyrion I tried doing that for like two days and it was terrible, for three reasons: it was impossible to add the album art (which to pick?), it would inflate my list with many non-albums (kind of like adding singles) which is something I prefer avoiding, and at last I'd not be able to catalogue isolated pieces that aren't part of a suite - for ex. you'd have to rate chopin's preludes 24 times and it's even worse for other standalone pieces. This system is annoying but sure to avoid ambiguities
