 | JamieTwort One other thing, I noticed that the images for the first 2 songs on Essential Void (Innocence and Child Alive) are pretty low quality (I'm guessing you took them from the book) and I was wondering if you would like me to send over a word document with those two images on like I did for the others. That way they should be better quality (but still not completely high-res for copyright reasons). Let me know if you'd like me to send them over.
 | JamieTwort Hey man, listening to the remixed Trvth tracks and the drums sound much better. Production sounds pretty much spot on now. Digging the new track too. m/
 | Deviant. Unbanned ya. Just understand that if, for some reason, you do decide to go crazy on the trolling (and not saying that you will), that you'll probably skip the whole warning, small ban process
 | OmairSh Has to be perfect for my ears
 | OmairSh You're like the next Devon Townsend dude m/. Yeah will check, is it prog death? Dude you're planning on doing music professionally?
 | OmairSh KEEP IT IN YOUR PANTS!!! Dam thought you might have enjoyed Leprous. Anyway sup
 | OmairSh Dam dude why you keep getting banned?
 | Pon Yeah man just put it under the name L. Ron Hubberd
 | Pon Sup cap, you gonna be adding more tracks to your new DM EP or would I be free to review it as is?
 | ButteryBiscuitBass anything else. I went to Australia and Bangkok last year, as my sister lives in Perth. That was awesome. The South of France is amazing as well bro if you and the family ever get a chance to go there.
 | ButteryBiscuitBass Real time 17:01, half an hour left and I've got some leaves to inhale when I get home, so all swee. I write sci-fi for stories and about life, failures and success when it comes to poetry. It helps get rid of stress, you feel? Glad you're writing hard mate, that's the way it should be. I'd like to travel more too, but gonna wait until after my wedding in a year and a half. Missus wants a couple of little ones as well, so a lot of life s*** going on, which as you know is more important than
 | ButteryBiscuitBass Safe man. I've been at work since 9:00am UK time - grim! Sounds good man, I swim to keep fit and that works for me. Same old same old my side, working on a short story and knocking out some poetry you know how it is. Dropped my guitar to D standard and have started jamming again which is cool, lost the desire to make music a while ago. How's the metal coming on? Feeling the songs from proverbial so far broche
 | joomisy haha yeah, I just took a long break from the site and i'm back now I guess (so is pesti I guess lolol). And yeah haha but eh I didn't really like beach that much tbh. I"m assuming this captain too eheh
 | Voivod don't mention it, man :)
 | JamieTwort Sweet dude, I'm gonna check those tracks out when I next get a chance. No worries bro, I'm not expecting you to work exclusively on our ambient project or anything, it's great to see you working on other stuff too.
 | ResidentNihilist Hey dude, want to say that the three tracks you've released so far for the upcoming album have been ****ing awesome. I still think the drums are a bit too high in the mix but yeah tracks rule. They remind me a little of the latest Integ album tbh.
 | Gnocchi Business as usual dude, anything you want me to sprook?
 | Voivod just listened to your songs, solid stuff, your Chuck influenced vox are great.
 | Shuyin sweet, ive been digin some traditional doom. send me some stuff when youre done, and dont go too kind on me or ill start insulting your ass :]
 | Shuyin yea, some frequencies are really piercing but **** it. hey dont thank me, people needed to check that stuff. ofc i think your progression was natural and the last album was your best work imo. you still writing?
 | Shuyin all cool, im not working around noisy places anymore but it sucks since i cant blast some dm like the good ol days
 | Shuyin THE ****? why didnt you say anything, i didnt know.. youre a strange lad. anyway, great to see you here again
 | OhCarrots Wait, you're Capt.? Sup bro, it's Necrotica :]
 | Wizard It's funny the world we live in where I have people I go through to get the latest scope on what's elite and s*** like that so I'm no better than anyone else on Sputnik hahaha just experienced working this porno infested thing they call the internet. You make me blush ; )
 | Wizard My bad dude, you own me at music ; P.
 | JamieTwort Cool bro, don't sweat, just whenever it's convenient.
 | JamieTwort One other thing, would it be possible to add something like "Photography/artwork by Jamie Twort" to the Essential Void page of your bandcamp? I know we said we'd do the write up and stuff at a later date once it's finished but for potential employer reasons any of my work that's available online should probably be credited . No rush though, just when it's convenient.
 | JamieTwort Yeah no rush bro, was just curious cos I'm going away for a week do I won't be able to communicate about it much til I get back as I'll have limited Internet access. And yeah you're right I don't think stuff with a beat will go with what we've got so far, especially not with the style of Just Around the Corner, which I think we said is the sort of sound we're going with for the remaining tracks.
 | JamieTwort Hey man, any progress or news about our ambient project?
 | lyon1535 Haven't heard Witherscape before (just saw your list about it after asking what you were jamming, kinda stupid of me), I might look it up. I've been meaning to listen to Colored Sands but I didn't look very hard for it yet, you gotta link for it? I hear it's great though
 | lyon1535 What metal? I haven't jammed metal in at least three days, I feel dehydrated
 | Deviant. I gave one of his mixes that's in the db a 3.5, maybe that's it? It's pretty much just straight techno, kinda minimalist at points and a little bit of dubby interpretations. I've never done a straight list of that kind of stuff but there's similar stuff in some of my lists. Try Xhin - Sword, Delta Funktionen - Traces, Marcel Dettmann - Dettmann, Mike Dehnhert - Framework, Skudge - Phantom, Voices From The Lake - Voices From The Lake and Claro Intelecto - Reform Club
 | Deviant. http://www.discogs.com/viewimages?release=3507368 - is it this?
 | Deviant. Well I'm not going to unban it immediately but it's something I'll keep in mind. Continue being normal and we'll see what happens. As for that album: drawing a blank at the moment. Do you know the genre at all?
 | Deviant. You'd need to give me a pretty good reason that would somehow nullify your endless hours of trolling
 | oltnabrick https://fbcdn-sphotos-g-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/p75x225/1006268_153127614889328_1247080257_n.jpg
 | JamieTwort Sounds sweet bro, I love how Witxes incorporate different forms into their music too, as you know. Also I just posted a review in you wanna have a look ;)
 | JamieTwort That Terry Riley album is pretty sweet.
 | Tyrannic Lol im good man just doing the triple job life how about you?
 | JamieTwort Awesome dude, glad you liked the ideas and concept.
 | evilford whoa sounds sweet. def have to check it out
 | evilford gotcha. so how've you been lately. haven't really talked at all in the last 6 months or so. hear any good s*** lately?
 | evilford ah cool, haven't seen you around. piss insisted you were lately but I didn't buy it
 | JamieTwort Gonna send over a word document now with an image and some compositional ideas for a song.
 | JamieTwort Sounds good dude. Yeah of course bro, feel free to choose whatever image you want or I'll happily suggest another one that I think would go well with the style of Just Around the Corner. Yeah I loved the end of Hope, definitely my favourite part of the song and one of the most creative parts of the whole album so far.
 | JamieTwort Sweet. Yeah I did, I liked everything about that track, it evoked just the right feelings for the picture imo. Also I relistened to Child Alive and I def prefer it without the dialogue. I really like that dark section towards the end now :]
 | JamieTwort The mood in Just Around the Corner is perfect. Well the album is already over 40 minutes long so I'm thinking another 2 or 3 would probably be about right. If the album was any longer than that it might overstay its welcome for some listeners, what do you think? And yeah more stuff like Just Around... would be sweet.
 | JamieTwort Love the new songs bro, particularly Just Around the Corner. I think that one's my favourite so far, it has just the kind of feel to it I was thinking of. Hope is great too, really engaging.
 | Keyblade Sweet, I'll give it a listen when I get home. How is JT involved exactly? Just the photography? Or musically too?
 | JamieTwort Awesome dude, will give them a listen soon. Can't wait to hear what you've come up with.
 | oltnabrick http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jUdYo_N--N4
 | JamieTwort Yeah bro, I'd be more than happy to work with you more in the future.
 | JamieTwort Sup dude, I got your email, I'll see if I can come up with some more detailed composition related ideas tomorrow or the next day. Sorry for the delay in response been really busy today as it was my graduation.
 | Eunuch no thats just an example of sound/genre.
 | Eunuch ambient darkish stuff yeah. the genre started from Mortiis early work (emperor bassist). burzums ambient kinda falls under it too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rl7nydFjkQ4
 | Permabanned http://www.sputnikmusic.com/list.php?listid=127981
 | Eunuch eh literally nothing much. been thinking about starting up my dungeon synth project soon. i never recorded music before but certain bands give me inspiration ;). gotta start somewhere right.
 | JamieTwort I've sent over some of the ideas I have. Should be able to send over some more detailed compositional ideas later if I get time :]
 | JamieTwort I've got a couple of ideas for some more songs based on individual images and the sort of feel I think would work well for them, shall I email the ideas over as a word document with the thumbnails of the pictures so that you know which ones I'm talking about?
 | JamieTwort Sweet, yeah I definitely think I'd prefer it without the dialogue. Also that's cool about the photos. Gonna give the 3 songs another listen now :]
 | JamieTwort Oh cool. It shows the full picture too when you click on it, didn't realise that at first. Yeah I love everything about it so far except the dialogue bit, but by all means keep it in if it's something you'd like to include.
 | JamieTwort Listening to the whole thing again now. I love the use of the atmospheric sound recordings in the first track.
 | JamieTwort Awesome. If you want me to send over square crops of the images or anything just let me know, save you keep taking them from the book or website.
 | JamieTwort Oh man, the third track is incredible. Exactly the kind of thing I was hoping to hear. Honestly one of the best ambient tracks I've heard in a long time. I really liked the other two as well. The only thing I wasn't 100% sure about was the spoken word sample in Child Alive. I liked it but personally I think I would have preferred the track without it as I didn't find it all that relevant to the feel of the album (so far) but it may grow on me. Overall I'm seriously impressed :]
 | JamieTwort I'm really liking it so far, I'm halfway through the second track atm.
 | JamieTwort Sweet, gonna listen now. Shall I email you a crop of one of the images that I think will be suitable for the cover? I like the photo you've put up btw.
 | JamieTwort Cool, will check it in a minute when I get on my laptop so I can listen to the song properly.
 | JamieTwort Awesome. I should be able to email over some possible artwork in about half an hour.
 | JamieTwort Nah they're all untitled so that's cool, I like the names you've come up with so far for the songs you've already done.
 | JamieTwort I have an idea for a name for the project: Essential Void. It's a term I used in the explanation at the end of the book and I feel it also relates to the feeling of spaciousness (for lack of a better word) that is essential in ambient music. Let me know what you think or if you've got any ideas for a name or title.
 | JamieTwort Sweet dude, that's awesome. Can't wait to hear them :]
 | JamieTwort Cool. Making it free is fine, that's probably what I would choose to do myself anyway :]
 | JamieTwort Sweet bro, no rush or anything, take your time. I've been considering images that might be suitable for the album cover. Also I was thinking when it's complete I could write an explanatory paragraph or two explaining the ideas behind it to put on the bandcamp page or something. Obviously I'll send it to you so you can see what you think and add your own bits as well. Can't wait to hear what you come up with :]
 | JamieTwort Good to see you enjoying ambient so much at the moment, getting inspiration for our collab?
 | JamieTwort Also agreed about how versatile ambient can be, one of the reasons I love it so much.
 | Keyblade Sweet, feel free to plunder it, I'm sure you'd love them all.
 | JamieTwort I prefer it to Copia, I find it more emotionally engaging somehow.
 | JamieTwort Hey man, another ambient album I've been listening to a lot lately is Eluvium - Talk Amongst the Trees. It has that melancholic yet beautiful vibe I was talking about.
 | Keyblade Nah bro most of the list is pretty entry-level. It's just that not too many peeps dig ambient that it seems that way. Also I second Havey's rec hard.
 | Havey yeah it's free, the only requirement is that you share something, like i said it's a sharing network so they don't want leeches ya know, just share your latest trvth album for example and you should be good to go
 | Havey soulseek is all i use for downloadin', you should try it bro everything you'll ever need is on there. oh and btw if you don't know what it is it's a program/sharing network and not really a site
 | Havey bro since you're on an ambient binge you should czech Oneohtrix Point Never - Replica hard
 | ju shud czech eet, new ee pee

 | TheBible Relax Mike. Enjoy some time with your family. No need to waste time arguing with an inanimate object.
 | TheBible Remember also plenty of me is taken out of context.I am simply a rough guide for you to see the trvth.
 | TheBible http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christian_mysticism
 | TheBible That would be the easiest way to describe it to you humans.Do not quote me against myself.
 | TheBible You're taking the literal meaning of the word my friend.
 | TheBible I am not an inanimate object. I am a mystical object. Why is that so hard to believe?
 | TheBible If only you could see me now.I hate being judged on my past. And you're making it worse.Sad Bible Face.
 | TheBible I can do what I please. Times have changed my child.
 | TheBible Bless you my child. What do you pray for? Whatever a kind soul like yourself wants he shall have.
 | Eunuch o shi the return. I was honestly wary of cf moving towards rap but I gotta say i still dig this new s***. It has the same essence gj ;)
 | JamieTwort I was thinking perhaps it would be a good idea to start some of the pieces with a few seconds (or maybe more?) of the sort of sounds that would be found in the sort of locations seen in the images, such as the running water, the sound of plants moving in the breeze etc. I feel that this might provide an immediate connection (for the listener) to the images themselves.
 | JamieTwort Glad you liked Emuul bro. Yeah I'll keep that in mind if I do record any. The idea of me recording them was just to make it that little bit more authentic by recording the sounds of the places I have photographed but thinking about it, it would probably be better if you recorded them as I'm sure it would be done in a much better way. I would most likely be relying on my iPhone for any recordings which of course isn't ideal.
 | your guess is as good as mine but i smell butthurt of unfathomable proportions
 | Scoot if you feel like reviewing it i'd appreciate it, you're a solid writer and i can't really advertise it much myself
 | be careful bro today is instaban/complete account wipe day
 | NecroDogg necro dogg is back bro! feel free to rate/review/download the album and burn it to CDs to throw at innocent pedestrians!
 | Scoot cheers man, glad you dig it
 | JamieTwort Also it looks like we both have a good understanding of what each other are talking about conceptually which is great.
 | pribosse can you help me explain to the mods that my album wasnt a ****in joke album
 | JamieTwort ...as I'm sure you can recreate the sort of sounds and atmospheres that the images evoke much more effectively.
 | JamieTwort No need to apologise bro. Those 3 albums/artists are probably my main influences with regards to this. As for the sounds, you're right, it would probably be better if you did it as I know you're already really good at incorporating sound effects and samples. The idea of me doing it was simply to add extra authenticity to the project by actually recording the sounds of the places I have photographed but in reality that's not really necessary...
 | JamieTwort Really glad you like the concept and artwork. Ah yes that might make it a bit difficult to communicate about individual images, I'll see if there's anything I can do about that. Doing a song on individual images would be sweet. I'm pleased it's inspired you. I actually listened to a lot of ambient music while doing this project in order to get into the right mind set regarding the atmosphere of the series.
 | JamieTwort Sent you an email with some ideas and links to the specific photography project I'd like to link it to :] Only do this if it's something you personally would like to do, obviously I don't expect you to collaborate just as a favour to me.
 | JamieTwort Right bro, if you're really down for this I'll send you some details about the photography project and theoretical ideas that I'd like it to be based on and you can see if it inspires you musically in any way.
 | ButteryBiscuitBass Sweet. That's def my favourite song off black horse plague and one of my favs of the genre.
 | JamieTwort Sweet dude, I'll give you some more details about my ideas later as I'm pretty tired right now. Just to clarify, I meant to say that I personally prefer ambient without a beat as like you said it allows for more expression.
 | JamieTwort Sorry meant to say I DO think ambient works better without a beat.
 | JamieTwort I don't think ambient works better without a beat personally. If you are interested in doing an ambient album would you be interested in doing some kind of conceptual collaboration. I have some ideas relating to some of my photography work and wondered if you'd be interested in incorporating some of those ideas into a themed ambient piece.
 | JamieTwort lol that's ok man, you're still a bro :]
 | JamieTwort By the way bro I was wondering have you ever considered doing a full on ambient album? I remember really liking some of the atmospheric parts on Black Horse Plague. Plus I loved Your Opposer Destroyed from your Alpha album and would interested to hear a more minimal take on something like that.
 | JamieTwort Well yeah I was thinking around a 3. Blank Shot and Light were my favourites.
 | ButteryBiscuitBass Brah you still haven't sent me the lyrics to 'the dent in the pan'Come on bro
 | Havey dug it dude :E who are your main influences? talkin both lyrically and sonically

 | osmark86 pretty aight man! you might want to work a bit on your flow though, sounds jumpy.
 | JamieTwort Sweet, I'll check out the album when I get home later.
 | SgtPepper I'm good. A little bit of drama in my life at the moment, but I suppose it happens to all of us from time to time. How about you? What made you go from prog/metal to hip-hop?
 | SgtPepper What's up, man. And yeah, I'll give your rap album a listen.
 | demigod! i had no idea you were into the hiphop lifestylez sir
