 | Hawks I'll get to them soon brother.
 | Hawks Will have to jam for sure bro.
 | Gyromania Thanks dawg! I just gotta make sure I write semi often now haha
 | Hawks I appreciate that buddy lol. Music is such a huge part of my life. Don't know what I'd do without it.
 | Hawks I jam a lot at work bro!! Thats where I jam mostly tbh lol.
 | Gyromania Thanks! Absolutely adore both KC and Rush. Also been super into Genesis, Camel, Yes, and other prog rock legends lately. Highly recommend checking the other top dawgs, if you're keen on Rush and KC. And yeah I'll check that review after (hard for me to focus rn, sick with a cold). Glad to see you getting back into the reviewing game!
 | Hawks Will check it out now my brother.
 | Hawks Hell yeah buddy lol.
 | Hawks Just not my style of prog sadly, and yeah, Mol is a newer discovery for me and I'm obsessed with them lol.
 | Hawks Karnivool isn't my cup of tea, but I'm so glad you dig Mom brother!! And yeah, **** J Cole lmao.
 | Gyromania Nice! Lots of good bands. I think all these prog rock legends have some big misses, and Rush def isn't an exception to that--but their overall quality is very high imo. I gotta get more into Priest, but I loooove Maiden. Actually was just about to play Somewhere in Time for the first time haha. Someone commented in that thread last night and I decided I'd finally give it a go.
 | Gyromania Yo ty my friend! I actually got this again back in like Aug I think. I'm gonna lose the damn thing for a second time if I don't start writing again soon haha. And yeah man, KC is amazing. Also going through Yes' discog, and Rush, Genesis, Jethro Tull, etc. Making a massive prog rock playlist
 | Hawks You sure about that???
 | Hawks I got one of their albums on my ambient list, I will get to it brother, don't worry lol. In the mood for riffs and breakdowns today tbh.
 | Hawks Lmao, yeah you have to finish it....sadly lol.
 | Hawks Yeah bro, everything after The Black Album is trash lmao.
 | TalonsOfFire Ya I dont think it was all Covid's fault but stuff like the budgets being too high, pandering to the cheap seats, lack of originality etc. but yeah still lots of gems and indies to see. I should try Andor again. Havent gotten to Fallout season 2 or Knight of the Seven Kingdoms yet. Thinking of rereading Song of Ice and Fire but I need that next book already, its been over a decade.
 | TalonsOfFire My ratings are all over the place but I feel like movies haven't been as impressive since Covid. Still lots of great ones though. If was a lot younger maybe Id feel different. I feel like the best time to grow up was when we did in the late 90s and 2000s.
 | TalonsOfFire Dogtooth is a trip haha, some parts are so funny but others made me scratch my head. Severance is one of my fav shows of this decade. Pluribus, Adolescence, American Primeval, and Only Murders are pretty great too. I only saw the first six eps of Andor. Havent seen The Pitt yet.
 | TalonsOfFire Unpopular opinion but Poor Things is my least fav movie from that dir. It was so regressive and had the depth of a puddle. I thought Bugonia and even Kinds of Kindness were big improvements and more thought-provoking with better writing.
 | TalonsOfFire I thought him being autistic was good representation though cause the actor really is and he's more sympathetic than Jesse Plemons for sure, but thats just my impression and can see how it would come across differently to others.
 | TalonsOfFire Its divisive and I didnt totally love it but thought it was excellent, and dealt with conspiracy theories and esp. alien life theories in a really interesting, authentic albeit depressing way and the acting was so great all around. I feel like its meant to be pretty bleak where none of the human characters survive in this crazy predicament, and I loved the whole ending where its this absurd confirmation that aliens are real, I saw that as the cherry on top. And the very dark funny ending montage
 | TalonsOfFire Body Cam is an entertaining show that The Perfect Neighbor reminded me of. I havent heard of The Twister but looks interesting. I also like watching Weather Gone Viral and Eye of the Storm, of crazy weather phenomena. Weird Earth too.
 | TalonsOfFire Whatre your fav films of 2025? Mine are Frakstn, 28 Yrs Lr, Bugonia, Weapons, Wake Up Dead Man, Bg hr Bk, Marty Sup., and Train Dreams.
 | TalonsOfFire The Pfct Nbor? The story was pretty gripping but I didnt see how it was a great doc, pretty much all body cam clips in a row. Also seemed borderline exploitative, I feel icky about a lot of true crime stuff. But it was fine, 6 out of 10 is more good than bad!
 | TalonsOfFire Im mainly doing the certificate to try and develop my short story writing and screenwriting skills, but it?ll help with all kinds of writing, incl. reviewing and when I resume my career. Trying to hold off the job search again haha since Im currently living at home
 | TalonsOfFire What is going on with this site, feels like each year theres some new thing that sinks the ship more. Did half the staff go on strike/leave after one of them was demoted unjustly in their eyes? It seems like its not possible for new profiles to be made, which I think has been an issue for a while iirc. I hardly ever come on here so Im so out of the loop on most everything.
 | TalonsOfFire Ive been mostly listening to soundtracks, modern classical, ambient electronic, and dark folk music lately to have good state of mind. Seasonal depression sux
 | TalonsOfFire Hey there good review, echoing what Rowan said. Gonna write more or just this one? Ive been writing movie reviews on Letterboxd lately, and going to start a creative writing prof. certificate program with Cornell soon which should be fun. Howve you been?
 | Hey there good review, echoing what Rowan said. Gonna write more or just this one? Ive been writing movie reviews on Letterboxd lately, and going to start a creative writing prof. certificate program with Cornell soon which should be fun. Howve you been?
 | Rowan5215 nice writeup man, I don't know if that's my kind of heavy stuff but you describe it well
 | Hawks First album rules so we shall see where the rest takes me lol.
 | Hawks Gonna do a Hammock discog jam once I'm done binging The Mars Volta's discog!
 | Artuma awesome dude, i love that album, so underrated. will check out for sure
 | sevEn What are your thoughts on this album???: https://juliannabarwick.bandcamp.com/album/nepenthe
 | Hawks It's a nice mix of ambient, chamber folk and neoclassical new age. I love it lol.
 | Hawks I definitely recommend the new Julianna Barwick and Mary Lattimore album. Early contender for AOTY for me.
 | Hawks Definitely gonna give them a go tomorrow. Will report back with thoughts!
 | Hawks Will have to give some of them a jam tomorrow at work. Also, I'm a huge fan of ambient so that transition shouldn't be a problem for me lol.
 | Hawks I definitely gotta get more into them. Heard the debut and really dig it!
 | Gyromania LFG dude! There's a lot of discussion in the staff discord regarding promos atm. Would be sick to have you and me as contribs at the same time again. Swamped with work atm but I will def head over and give that a read when I can.
 | Hawks There are still a lot of newish users that joined around that time that just started commenting. Also plenty of users that lurk/rate, but don't comment. Still a big user pool here even with all the people that left.
 | Hawks Sowing and Jom have been in contact with Mx, but yeah, he couldn't care less it seems lol. I have no clue where Deviant is tbh. User registration went away with the site hack in 2022 and he hasn't bothered to fix it so we're pretty much stuck in limbo. Contrary to popular belief though, the site is not dying lol.
 | Hawks Lmao sorry bro!!! But uhhhh, basically normal octagon was demoted from staff, some other staff members took issue with it and demanded he be reinstated and also wanted a new mod appointed, mods said no then said staff members then quit the site and started their own site. That's pretty much the long and short of it lol.
 | Hawks Believe me bro, I DEFINITELY understand that feeling. Frustrating as hell sometimes for sure. But I'm glad you're doing good for the most part!
 | Hawks Lmao all good bro. Today has been good so I'm feeling decent. I definitely will listen to those recs! How you been brother?
 | Hawks No bro lol its still there.
 | JMNewcomer25 Hope you're doing well brother LONG TIME no talk
 | TalonsOfFire Robot? Yeah I may try Last of Us out of curiosity but I bet itll be a slog haha
 | TalonsOfFire Haha fair enough. Ive been enjoying bad zombie movies and just rewatched Splice, what a weird one that was, but bold. Saw Adolescence and enjoyed it but wasnt the best series Ive ever seen or anything like some say. Dont think Ill bother with the new season of Last of Us, experiencing the story in the second game once is plenty for me...
 | TalonsOfFire No bueno for Overlord, Green Room, and Bridge of Spies too? I thought those were excellent!
 | TalonsOfFire I plenty of horror subpar too but Nope was really interesting and immersive to me, and loved the alien design, was like something out of a Lovecraft story
 | TalonsOfFire K I raised my Hotel Reverie rating for you pal XD
 | TalonsOfFire Your film ratings don't seem that different from mine, maybe I'm a little more critical, but I could say why u so down on Men, Dr Strg 2, Black Phone, and Nope? The last two especially I really liked.
 | TalonsOfFire Haha you saw that on my Letterboxd? To each their own but I thought Hotel Reverie was really subpar and boring and trying to replicate San Junipero. But Common People was quite good and Im looking forward to the last two.
 | Gyromania Honestly a bit reactionary from me, I won?t lie haha. I heard it this morning while getting ready and thought it was just awful tho. Some songs are maybe worth revisiting, others I found to be quite grating. It didn?t even sound like the same band to me, altho tbf I haven?t listened to their last 2-3 albums, so that could be part of it
 | TalonsOfFire If youre curious it is worth a listen, parts reminded me of HCE
 | TalonsOfFire Hey Mongi have you heard The Overview? Its a little short and wandering but there are 4 really great songs in there and a really cool soundscape at the end. About on the same level as Harmony Codex for me but it's more spacey and progressive which is nice.
 | TalonsOfFire Thats awesome, and same, my dad is a big music head since the 60s with lots of great records including prog ones. Genesis and Yes are two of the best, 70s was an unreal decade for amazing music.
 | efp123 you should listen to driftless-perfect blue. Im being a whore but whatever. I think you will like it
 | TalonsOfFire I get that, I do enjoy lots of movies every year but just reserve a 5 star for a classic, only like 50 movies total.
 | TalonsOfFire I've seen so many movies and know what I like, many modern movies are very cliched but maybe Im just particular haha
 | TalonsOfFire Im really excited for Nosferatu. Have you seen the viking revenge fantasy thriller The Northman? I thought it was amazing, and from the same director. Think I found your Letterboxd.
 | TalonsOfFire Im kind of a film snob, have prob watched too much horror so theyre predictable to me a lot, and most horror these days doesnt really do it for me. I actually wrote reviews of both Smile 2 and Anora on Letterboxd and RYM. I didnt not like Anora, it was just mildly disappointing cause I loved Red Rocket and esp. Florida Project. Did you see my ratings/reviews on my RYM or Letterboxd?
 | efp123 We have similar taste in music it seems. We?re right. Everyone else is wrong ^_~
 | TalonsOfFire Yeah just releasing a new song or two every month of the year isnt ideal, but thats the internet age for ya
 | TalonsOfFire New Ulver is pretty nice, they sure enjoy playing synthpop
 | TalonsOfFire Haha I like it more than you but agree with a lot of what you said, I think everything else theyve done is better. Why did they go so 2000s Dream Theater on us?!
 | TalonsOfFire No I didnt know that was a thing, Ill look into that
 | TalonsOfFire They have a lot of albums huh, but I'll check out the latest is that's a standout
 | TalonsOfFire Have you heard any Alora Crucible? It's a new band of Toby Driver's that's very new agey and atmospheric with mostly stringed instrumentation, I love it and they just dropped a new album.
 | twlight Dude you are so cool. Go hammock
 | TalonsOfFire Yeah Barry was great. Flower Moon is still worth watching, Irishman too which I like even more
 | TalonsOfFire Right MI7 would be my next fav probably, thought it was solid but the writing dropped in quality a bit since Fallout I thought. Flower Moon was excellent, but dour and loooonngg. Very stoked for Dune 2. Saltburn was a freaky good time also but you might hate it haha
 | TalonsOfFire 2023 wasnt the best year for movies, but some gems for sure like Oppy, Holdovers, Beau, Flower Moon, JW4, The Killer, Asteroid City, May December, Talk to Me, and Guardians 3. Still have some to see like Iron Claw, Boy and the Heron, Poor Things, American Fiction, Zone of Interest, and Godzilla.
 | TalonsOfFire Most of my fav albums from the past few years were comebacks, a couple side projects, and some from newer bands (but still formed like 15 years ago). I think the last game I played extensively was from 2020 haha, recently getting back into RDR2 which is a fun time
 | TalonsOfFire Totally get it. I indicated on the new Peter Gabriel thread actually that nearly all my favorite artist/bands from growing up, and found from early years on Sput, either broke up, release something new once in a blue moon, or releasing milquetoast new stuff. I just throw my Spotify liked songs on Shuffle most of the time haha
 | TalonsOfFire I know but Radioheads probably over, at least for now cause they all want to do their own projects. Im just glad that Jonny and Thom are still together for The Smile.
 | TalonsOfFire Really? I loved most of tracks 4-9, and the last song Skrting. You might like Wall of Eyes even more haha
 | TalonsOfFire Gabriel is a legend, he was a primary member of Genesis. His solo career is great too
 | TalonsOfFire Haha badass. The new Peter Gabriel is excellent too
 | TalonsOfFire Hey how ya been? You listen to The Smile at all? Its a new Radiohead side project with Thom and Jonny. Their second album Wall of Eyes dropped today. Lots seem to like it more than the debut but I dont agree. It's still really good, and weirder than that one in a way.
 | Atari hell yeah! I'll definitely be exploring them more. just listened to Unwound - Leaves Turn Inside You for the first time as well lol. there's always some BIG albums I've been avoiding for no particular reason and it never ceases to amaze me. good to see you around!
 | TalonsOfFire I'll have to listen to more from this year, sure I've missed lots. The new MGMT song Mother Nature is fantastic too.
 | TalonsOfFire Seems interesting! Hope you're doin well. The new Peter Gabriel just dropped in full, excellent album and my fav of the year.
 | Snake. yo you coming out to the holy fawn show in brooklyn?
 | TalonsOfFire Heard the new National yet? It?s a winner and way better than Frankenstein
 | TalonsOfFire Ya I love their late 80s-mid 90s era best probably. I havnt heard too much of The Beggar yet, I feel like I kind of get their thing at this point haha
 | TalonsOfFire Yeah the Leaving Meaning t/t and What is This are excellent
 | TalonsOfFire Really? Glowing Man is solid but is where I thought they started to get self-indulgent and kinda gimmicky, especially in tracks 4-7, which got worse with Leaving Meaning, whereas TBK is excellent all the way through and instrumentally diverse like The Seer.
 | TalonsOfFire Lol never mind me, I realized that I got Duster mixed up with Guster; the band that did the song Yooouuurre mmmyyyyy saaaateeliiiiiiiiite that?s always on the radio. Ill check out Duster soon!
 | TalonsOfFire I only know a couple of their hit songs, thought they were similar to Coldplay but maybe Ill give their first two albums a listen
 | TalonsOfFire The next two he did are great too and you might like them even more. GoD especially is insane. The second track kinda reminds me of Ulver.
 | TalonsOfFire I loved Blue Mecca, Famine Asylum, and Say Less too. Nice Replica rating. Oneohtrix Point Never is one of my favorite ambient electronic artists, his songwriting is so interesting and ecelctic.
 | TalonsOfFire The new National? Yeah what a letdown. I like tracks 3-5, Ice Machines, and Your Mind is Not Your Friend tho.
 | TalonsOfFire Ive only heard their first one back when it came out in 2014 and liked it a lot, will try the new one soon
 | TalonsOfFire Interesting, like it would be about the critical reactions to post-rock not being positive lately? Or audience reception? I would say to post on the blog, especially if you know Wordpress, tho I dont know if only staff can do that. I could inquire for you. Otherwise the simplest would just be in a list.
 | TalonsOfFire Good Im glad! Yeah shoegaze and dream pop are two of my favorite genres. Beautiful Mind by The Verve sounds like Bark Psychosis to me
 | TalonsOfFire I tried Tim Hecker many years ago and couldnt get into it, until Konoyo, I liked that a lot. For gaze and dream pop: the first EP by The Verve and their album A Storm in Heaven, Sunkissed by Guitar, Blue Rev by Alvvays, Nowhere by Ride, Stargazer by Stella Luna, Scribble Mural by Sunny Day in Glasgow, and the bands Seefeel, Lush, Pram, and Sugar Plant.
 | TalonsOfFire Nice, will listen soon. I remember the singles being pretty good
 | TalonsOfFire Crazy that the site got hacked like this and there's just no forum right now. I think a bunch of peoples comments, including mine, gotd too.
 | TalonsOfFire Isnt Sweet Trip amazing?? Unfortunately theyve been soured for me, for the time being at least, cause a band member stalked and assaulted the other one or something during their reunion. Shame cause their new album from last year was my favorite by any artist or band since 2017.
 | TalonsOfFire Skullcrusher is really good, that first EP especially is stunning.
 | TalonsOfFire Gorgeous isnt the first word that comes to mind with the name Skullcrusher lol
 | TalonsOfFire Ethel Cain is pretty musically diverse, its like ethereal wave, ambient/dream pop. Definitely should've been cut down but therere some amazing songs on there. Speaking of modern folk have you heard the new Haavard? It's really good, from the original guitarist of Ulver and its meant to be the successor of Kvelddsanger.
 | TalonsOfFire Holy Fawn is a very cool band! Their new album is definitely one of the best of the year
 | TalonsOfFire Yeah Fantano has mostly crap taste haha, no idea how hes so popular
 | TalonsOfFire Ill have to hear that entire Holy Fawn album. I used to feel that way about Heritage, but it really grew on me over the years and now I love it. Do u like any of the albums they made afterwards? Mikael Akerfeldts new soundtrack Clark is great, its mostly instrumental.
 | TalonsOfFire By specialized I just mean my taste is getting pickier and narrower, a lot of new music sounds weird to me like too much autotune, predictable song structure, singing voice off-putting, or something. I also haven't felt like listening to any pure metal in years unless there's like post-rock, ambient, or genre-bending going on. I used to listen to like 100 albums per year! I feel like covid also slowed down new releases, and same with the activity on this site it seems.
 | TalonsOfFire I had a 3rd and final interview with a drone software company which is easily the highest level job I've ever interviewed for and I really want, also dont really have many other irons in the fire. Places take forever to get back to you these days and its suuuchh a long process : /
 | TalonsOfFire Ah ok, well I hope you get whatever confirmation you need, that cant be easy. I at least can relate to feeling a bit out of place or weird in life, like many active sput users I imagine since many of us are perhaps a little more introverted or can get obsessive about our passions, like music and other things
 | TalonsOfFire Im also between jobs, got suddenly laid off from work in August even tho it had nothing to do with my performance or anything. Been applying and thank God I live in Mass where there's unemployment, free healthcare, and I even got all my heat for my apartment paid for. State welfare/assistance programs are a wonderful thing!
 | TalonsOfFire Ah I should jam those. Listened to a couple Holy Fawn songs not too long ago and liked them. I agree this year has been pretty slow. Ive also gradually been gotten more specialized with my taste so that could be it too. What would happen if you tested positive for that?
 | TalonsOfFire Hey Mongi, howve you been? What were some of your favorite releases this year? I just made my end of the year list here: /list (dot) php?listid=201965
 | Artuma cool cool. pretty much the same for me
 | Artuma oh cool. honestly i haven't been keeping up with the latest releases much but i'll be sure to check that one out. how are you btw?
 | luci hey mongi, my comments were to americanflagash not you, no hard feelings!
 | TalonsOfFire Yeah the whole album has such great bass lines, I love that as a bassist myself. Maybe Wilson was like I have to justify my playing since Colin Edwin isnt here
 | TalonsOfFire Thats pretty much how I feel. You listened to the bonus tracks too right?? They're so good and probably better than most of the main album lol
 | Artuma i mean it definitely has more substance than the new deafheaven album. i didn't really get into that one
 | Artuma so i jammed that death spells album and it's pretty good indeed! sounds like something you could hear from deafheaven these days
 | Artuma that's good! never heard of holy fawn but thanks, by quick glance looks like something i could vibe with!
 | Artuma i'm good man, been jamming that new gospel album A LOT it's so ****ing good. how about you?
 | TalonsOfFire I love Carrie and Lowell more, but Illinois is my next favorite. I know Jacksonville, Chicago, and Feel the Illinois are a bit wacky, but theres UFO Sighting, Casimir Pulaski Day, Decatur, Predatory Wasp, John W Gcy Jr, and Man of Metropolis which are fantastic and not what Id call show tunes.
 | TalonsOfFire Illinois is a classic! Ur listening start to finish right? Cause the first half is the best part; theres some filler in the last third. Tracks 1-12 with Predatory Wasp and Tallest Man would be 5/5 album for me probs.
 | TalonsOfFire Hey Mongi, I made a list of my all time favorite songs and marking my 20000th comment! list.php?listid=199040
 | TalonsOfFire Yes I have! The albums I heard werent rated on my profile tho anymore for some reason. It looks like the same happened with a few similar bands too like Rosetta and The Ocean, so I rerated them just now. I should catch up and hear some of their new ones.
 | TalonsOfFire Thanks! And Ecailles parts 1 and 2 are neck and neck for me basically.
 | TalonsOfFire It is a musically diverse genre! Btw sort of related to that, did you see my sweet new list /list.php?listid=198569
 | DarkNoctus hahahaha yeah sorry, i didn't feel that album... i think it was one of those "i really admire what they're trying to do, i just don't like the result" kinda records. love everything else they've done. odd, because i'm a huge ambient/post-rock guy. eno has been my jam lately, it's why i checked it out. thank you so much though!! i'm so stoked you like it!!
 | TalonsOfFire Its taken overboard if physically unpleasant to sit through and is too tinny. I think as long as you can hear whats going on and differentiate between the different instruments then its fine, like Bergtatt and A Blaze in the Northern Sky.
 | Artuma yeah honestly both are pretty tedious to listen to. my rating for bloodmoon might be slightly biased negatively because i was legitimately disappointed by it. wildhund is just jarring in a wrong way
 | TalonsOfFire Good comparison, they also became more like Opeth in recent years, and go in a gothic metal direction too. It?s all great but the debut, Hope, and the really new one Moonflowers are my favs
 | TalonsOfFire Yeah The Morning Never Came? That album is incredible. Hold this Woe is my fav on there.
 | TalonsOfFire Ive tried Fiona Apple a few times and couldnt get into it : /
 | TalonsOfFire You ever listen to Swallow the Sun? They?re a really great band from Finland I?ve been a fan of for like over a decade. Some of their albums sound like Opeth and Katatonia. Their new album Moonflowers is excellent.
 | TalonsOfFire Check out Another Green World and the two albums he did with Harold Budd, those are the best.
 | TalonsOfFire Only a 3 for Ambient 1 by Brian Eno? It?s an ambient classic!
 | Artuma oh s*** didn't even realize, thanks for the heads up man!
 | TalonsOfFire Cant really argue with any of that. I miss the dreamy shoegaze side, they sound more like a typical indie band on the new one.
 | TalonsOfFire Really? I thought it was ok, but not better than their last three. Victim and the closer are really good
 | TalonsOfFire Did u ever think PT were gonna reunite?! I never thought Id see the day..
 | TalonsOfFire Yeah just today theres new Mastodon and War on Drugs, and I still have to hear the new Grouper and My Morning Jacket. Dream Theater dropped a new one recently too, cautiously optimistic that it will be decent haha
 | TalonsOfFire The new Kayo Dot is very up and down quality wise for me. Probably their most metal which I was surprised at, cause I thought they were more electronic now. But thats the fun thing about Kayo Dot, ya never know what they'll do next haha
 | TalonsOfFire I may have thought they were when I tried their first album a while ago. Illusory Walls is good! A lot going on, I?ll have to give a few more listens to let it sink in.
 | TalonsOfFire Isn?t it screamo? I don?t listen to that kind of stuff anymore, but I?ll give it a try
 | TalonsOfFire For the record my current rating is an estimation based on the released singles, which accounts for over half the album though. I?d say check them out on Spotify and see what you think. They?re a step up from Blasphemy. Toby also got a couple members of maudlin back which is cool.
 | Artuma hell yeah! that album is a wild ****ing ride. have you listened to their second album?
 | TalonsOfFire You'd like the new Big Red Machine if you haven't heard of them, it's a collab between a guitarist from The National and Justin Vernon from Bon Iver
 | TalonsOfFire Ah right! I've been meaning to jam the new WitTR
 | TalonsOfFire True that! The first half of Mombasa especially is gorgeous, they?re such talented songwriters. The rhythm section stands on the whole album too, which is always nice
 | TalonsOfFire Yeah! The Gnashing is probably my least fav actually haha, but it does get quite good in the second half. I'll listen to the new Rolo Tomassi song, they're great.
 | TalonsOfFire Yeah I love it, first half especially blows me away. It's my new favorite from them, with Sunbather a close second. The new Alora Crucible (Toby Driver) is great too, kinda similar to They Are the Shield and almost all instrumental.
 | TalonsOfFire It's totally my kind of music, especially for spring and summer, like a perfect marriage of blissful 60s psychedelic pop rock and ethereal ambient electronic music, also with big Slowdive and mbv influences. The glitch parts I could take or leave tbh
 | TalonsOfFire Yeah I find my mindset is better when I?m away from the internet. I?m ok, some challenging things to deal with but trying to be optimistic. Sweet Trip is making things good haha
 | TalonsOfFire Hey Mongi how ya been? I?m enjoying the f out of the new Sweet Trip, you gotta check it out. Perfect pick me up from these dystopian times haha
 | TalonsOfFire Hey Mongi, I've been keeping up with new movies, playing Last of Us 2, and helping the parents around the house. Listening to lots of music of course. Still job searching too, hoping something will happen before next summer. The staff number 1 has been a surprise to me the past few years. For some reason, I'm the only one who voted for The Slow Rush, thought it would be more popular given how loved Tame Impala are.
 | TalonsOfFire Thanks, yeah it is improving and I'll make a full recovery thankfully. I'm sorry to hear about your ear and if it's permanent, be careful and use ear protection! Hard to believe the year is almost over, I already made my end-of-the-year list for the staff year-end feature
 | TalonsOfFire I've been job searching, listening to lots of music, watching movies and TV, and getting into some interesting reading material. Been recovering from a leg injury these past few weeks but it's mostly healed now which is nice!
 | Pheromone For sure. In england the amount of ****s who refuse to believe in corona's existence / mask wearing etc etc. gets draining. I'm frequenting sput more than i have since 2014 so its been a nice distraction, as well as discovering new music for the first time in forever. Feel like I haven't seen you around too much lately, though I guess our tastes differ
 | Pheromone Ton of my friends are doing exactly the same - it's a real s***ty time to be looking for employment. I'm good though, had a long period of self-isolation weigh heavy on me for a bit and ive been awful at uni work - but - good for the most part
 | Artuma totally agree man that split defines gorgeous, especially the deer leap side. glad you're digging!
 | Artuma i've always had a huge dislike towards their vocals tbh but they did sound pretty good on that album
 | Artuma yeah uh not a huge fan of them but i figured that album could be pretty good. it was alright
 | Artuma i mean, there are lots of same qualities as city of caterpillar in their pre-adss stuff but yeah, in general their sound is a lot slicker and more coherent. can't beat them dynamics coc provides though
 | Artuma right on buddy, the new one is one of their best for sure and my favourite since a dead sinking story. footprints is still their career highlight for me though
