Review Summary: He's close by, and he watches over all of us.
I'm not gonna spend a whole lot of time or energy on this review because if you can see the cover you already know what's up. This album is the brainchild of Seattle's own Jordan Farrow, who set out to create some killer thrash records and has succeeded for a third time. Guardian of the Universe pulls inspiration from thrash, black and death metal with some grinding attitude for good measure. The result is 33 minutes of filthy, engaging and awesome riffage.
Oh, and did I mention there's MOTHERF*CKING KAIJU?
Yeah, you read that right. This album, and everything else this band has done, is about Godzilla and his merry band of foes. If that doesn't make your nips perk up a lil bit then I don't know what to tell you.
Is this the Great American Album? Nope. Is it the wankiest guitar wanking session of all time? Hell no. Does it kick tons of ass? RAWR! In case you couldn't tell, that's Godzilla for 'Hell Yeah!'
So cowboy up, kaiju, and give this album a spin because you probably won't regret it, unless you hate fun.
