Steel Bath Suicide is soil works first Cd, and in my opinion is the best. Every instrument is simply amazing. The Guitar solos include emotion, style, and shredding, as opposed to the mindless shredding done by other death metal bands during this time. the drums switch between fast blast beats, and double bass pedalling during the verses, and slower syncopated rythms during the chorus's. The guitar riffs sound more "thrashish" instead of the neoclassical melodies more commonly present in other melodic death metal bands. But as awesome as all of these instruments are the bass is almost unaudible making this Cd less apealing to bassists.

The main problem with this cd is the vocals. in this Cd Speed strid sounds like he has a cold, and the lack of variety in the vocals can be annoying to some listeners, but will be of little importance to others. some times the lyrics make very little such as this quote from Wings of Domain "Me alone, against the world, the void of emptiness is piercing my soul, a virus infects man kind, an infection incurable for all eternity." But most listeners will also care very little about this. But even through its short comings this is still a classic Cd.

I would recomend this cd to any one who likes thrash, metal core, or melodic death metal. It was a truly unique Cd for its time, and nearly Ten years later is still enjoyed by many. Some Songs I would recomend are.
-Entering the angel diabolique
-Sadistic lullabye
-Wings of domain
-Centro Predomino

I love soilwork. But this review could use some work. Try making your next one longer, and put more detail into it, you didn't say much. But from your name I'm guessing you're a BTBAM fan, and thats pretty cool.
