Thanks for reviewing, I really liked the second paragraph. Their last album was so much more sophisticated, this feels like a dog chasing it's own tail and is pretty disheartening. Stranger is a track that had me just scratching my head but has grown on me a lot, it's pure Korn worship (the drummer is even rocking a full Adidas tracksuit) and has the turntables as a nod to Hybrid Theory, just a sloppy love-letter to nu-metal of old. Twist The Rage is fun and Feed The Vice is so obnoxiously heavy, I love it. The previous album built up to a really dynamic and exciting final suite of tracks, and this one tries to do the same thing but just completely falls short. Burn Victim is literally just a lazy copy/paste of Carefully/Caged from the last one. The other thing I found really puzzling about this, is I assumed the next step in their evolution would involve more interplay between the male/female vocals, but they do nothing in that regard. The closest they come is Stranger. I really just expected more. Vol IV does everything this does but wayyyyyy better. They have the capacity to be a headlining band one day but at this rate they are going to be an opener forever

Needs more than heaviness for me to really enjoy it, this is good for those who like that sound. I think its solid but far from best of the year or anything like that.

Oh it's a grower. I think I was too harsh on it. I'm pissed as hell they didn't release the lyrics this time around because there are large segments here where the vocals are indecipherable. Also sucks that nobody listened to it lol
