Well, let me start off by saying I have owned almost all of Limp Bizkit's albums. This one is just a put together of all thier "greatest hitz" into one album. Pretty convienent, eh? So i bought this one after selling an "unquestanable truth", "results may vary", and losing "three dollar bill y'all". here is what I think of the "greatest hitz".
COUNTERFIET:
Ah, a firsty from the bizkit. Counterfiet starts off with slowness and Fred just saying "figured me out, wear a mask called counterfiet" or something of that matter. Then it blast into this wierd, but kinda cool sounds. I can't explain too much about that. The rapping isn't too bad for the most part, And personaly I like the song. I rate "counterfiet" 7/10 for just the nice little add they did with the guitars and what i believe could be a sythenzer.
FAITH:
When i first heard this song i was like "ok........ where's the faith?" But that split second i got the "faith". It was this noisy yelling into the microphone kinda thing. The guitars were good, the beginning was slow and has nonsense for lyrics but overall it's not bad just a little wierd. 6/10
NOOKIE:
Never thought much of the song so everytime i heard it, Or foresaw it coming (back of the album case) so for everyone i can't say i now this song like the back of my palm so the rating is N/A.
BREAK STUFF:
This song reminds me of my younger sister, and it cracks me up everytime. The song itself is not half bad. For my information many people like this song a lot. For me I'd say it's moderate. The lyrics are somewhat funny and it basically talking about Durst and his anger issues (go figure). The song has a nice little interlude where he repeats the same song over and over and then lashes out in this nice bass and saying "give me something to break". Good job Durst. I'll rate this song a 7/10.
RE ARRANGED:
In this song Durst actually sings than his normal rap antics. It starts slow but soon picks up pace but then it becomes slow again then it picks up pace and then FINALLY the guitars come in but to be as serious as possible, it's not the greatest. the song is good to listen to a few times then you get bored of it quickly. "re arranged" gets 5/10 out of me.
N 2 GETHER NOW:
I personally do not this song at all, I heard it once too see what it was and i never heard it again. I think its just horrible. The beat sucks ass. Many of my firends and family and distant relatives and outsiders have told me was a awesome song. So i gave it a second chance and i thought it was a bit more decent. I give this song a 6/10. But um........ i still dislike the song.
TAKE A LOOK AROUND:
The only problem I'm gonna even mention with this song it sounds like the guitar melody was stolen. In other words it sounds not original. The song itself is annoying. This is a song that was nominated to be skipped. The greatness of the song is the awesome drumming. Good job with the drumming. I rate this song a 4/10.
MY GENERATION:
I like this song a lot. One of my favorites from the bizkit. The beginning is a drum solo and that right there is cool stuff. The rapping itself is done well. The next best thing in this song is the Dj he does this awesome disc scratching(work with me) and that is just great. I give this song a 9/10.
ROLLIN':
This song is also another of my well liked songs. The drumming : superb. The lyrics : a little on the egotistical side put still its good. I give this song a nice 8/10 becuase the guitars weren't strong enough i want more rock these days but thats what I'm gonna find with limp bizkit and this song.
MY WAY:
"My way or the Highway" Durst please, tell me your joking.well The song is one of my greater liked songs. He also sings in this song, too. The guitars are great. The drumming is great. The lyrics are better. the song get a 9/10 from this stubborn mule.
BOILER:
When the say "boiler" this sure is a "boiler". The same verses are repeated twice and they are so time consuming and LONG. I mean you have to wait for so long to get to that nice little hook with the bass and the drums from the begining. SO LONG! I mean this song is better skipped than heard. It will actually make you "boil". I rate this "boiler" a 3/10.
EAT YOU ALIVE:
A rather scary and morbid thing to say to a woman. The drumming superb, the guitars eh.... thier O.K. the lyrics are good, decent, fair. I give this a nasty 6/10.
BEHIND BLUE EYES:
I loath this song to depths of hell. Out of all the songs they have ever made Durst remakes this song ( The band who actually sings this piece of crap is "The Who") into a worse hell hole then it already was. This song has NO guitars in it and if it does my bad, ITS SO BORING I DIDN'T NOTICE. This song is bore me to death and he sings in this song very well, yeah still doesn't take away the fact that it sucks. this song is got to be the worse song, HOWEVER it got put into the "greatest hitz" and they made a crappy video to go along with it. That song dissapointed me when i heard that, I know limp can do better. what you want a rating O.K. 1/10.
BUILD A BRIDGE:
Such a slow song but such a nice melody it draws you to hear the rest of the song and when it's over you end up saying What the **** was that. Yep, another thumbs down from me, I didnt like this song too much but it had such a nice melody that I'm gonna give it a nice rating. 7/10
WHY:
"why" did i listen to this song. 3/10
LEAN ON ME:
Finally I have finally heard a song worth at least a little appreciation. Its got a nice message to it and i would sing it to my girlfriend if i could sing. 7/10
HOME SWEET HOME/BITTERSWEET SYMPHONY:
This song is elusive to say it's worth my time but i'll it is and i will rate this a nice little 5/10.
wel that all folks. be careful of the blue eyes and remember DON't do drugs.
