Review Summary: They really gave us something different in the year and for a rookie group, this is a gem.
ADOR's new group, a subsidiary under HYBE LABELS, had surprisingly announced their new group “NewJeans”.
We start with “Attention”, which shows us that the life of an artist and a teenager is not easy. A song that we cannot understand at first, but that reaching its choir, we can enjoy with the angelic voices that accompany it.
Then we move on to “Hype Boy”, his second track. A catchy and moving rhythm that excites at first, and makes us feel in another dimension, a lyrical harmony and makes us feel as if we were young too. A song with an ending, also catchy.
Later we move on to “Cookie”, his third and last “TITLE TRACK”. In that song we see that it begins in a "slow-mo" way, and, after it is coupled to the lyrics. The “slow-mo” sound gives us the illusion that the song is soft and has a catchy rhythm. Upon reaching the choir, his powerful voice makes us feel calm, and then we fall into the slow rhythm that the song brings.
Finally, we come to “Hurt”, their only “B-SIDE”. There we disconnected from the slow and catchy noises of NewJeans. There they show us the other side of the album and how fragile the content of any person and heart becomes.
In conclusion, the girls of NewJeans showed off with their undeniable talent, since the members were involved in the process and writing of the song, and, overcoming all kinds of scandals in their sights.
