Review Summary: God’s disciples working to restore balance on the Earth with catchy metal! Eat your heart out Satan, you have no power over God’s children.

Skillet continue to set trends by following trends in Dominion, their Mona Lisa. John Cooper is the mastermind behind the band, a genius of old. With a voice blessed by the Holy Spirit, he declares his spiritual gift by using man made, pitch correcting auto-tune: a voice that makes the seas tremble and mountains shake. He sounds the same as he did in every Skillet album but much older, with no desire to ever change, which is awesome. The way he shout sings, and struts on stage pretending to be a young punk, and doesn’t sound as melodic as their female singer (therefore is manly) is so epic. If it wasn’t an abomination to be attracted to men when you’re a man (I’m a man with a beard so I’m manly automatically btw), let’s just say John would be my first choice - I’m obviously not homosexual because the Bible is the word of God and must be obeyed, some men are just scientifically attractive, everyone knows that.
Musically speaking, Dominion shreds like cheese. The riffs are a hundred times heavier than a big rock, and the fake trap/almost poppy, and super simple, (but still manly) beats slap! The songs sounds like they could’ve been on any other Skillet album, but these ones are awesome because they go harder than worship service praising God, but in this case I’m praising Skillet, but not really because I put God first in all things. Speaking of music, the female girl is a fantastic singer and objectively hot cause she drums too, and that is just epicness. Lusting is forbidden of course, but I don’t think God will mind this time, because the drummer is beautifully created and I’m not perfect obviously.
Dominion reminds me of Amaranthe songwriting-wise because it’s fun, but less heavy and growly, minus the complicated riffs, but still somehow heavier than a bag of books which is astounding! Songs are so catchy because it’s a glorious butt rock/metal album that reminds me of Nickelback (one of the best bands), indeed, the music has catchiness. So yeah, it’s exactly like their other albums, but I like those. But the cool part of this album are the lyrics about how only Christians are allowed to have dominion on Earth, and all other religions/beliefs/opinions/lifestyles/cultures spew false doctrine and evil and are lies from the Devil. All of them, and God will send you to Hell if you don’t love him back and have your own opinion, but you send yourself there. It’s not a threat, it’s an encouragement to worship God or suffer for eternity because he loves you, so use your free will wisely or die. Why shouldn’t Christians rule the Earth? We are God’s chosen people!!!! Anyway, great, classic masterpiece of an album and Skillet is a fantastic band that puts Rush to shame. Enjoy!
