Review Summary: Indigo, is an album performed and produced with such careful consideration and allure, that its few shortcomings in pure songwriting terms can go unnoticed. It doesn’t rely on standard dance floor clichés and it succeeds because of its energy and Tempo

I was tricked into listening to this one by the description, I was promised a Bjork meets Radiohead approach which might slightly be the case on the title and opening track, but it's far from the truth for most of the record! Do I have any regrets? Well no, not at all! I was compensated by the beautifully given pop music of indigo, the crystal clear vocals and the soulful melodies.

Some slight faux reggae in the vein of UB40 can be sensed throughout the songs especially if you bring in mind Justin Timberlake fronting them. It is intelligent pop music, which steers clear of the banalities of pop songs which have often dominated the charts.

The lyrical ideas are not in abundance on Indigo, which is less of a concern for performers such as Temporary Hero who are more adept with melody. But there is something authentic about his music, which also manages to find a catchy chorus at every turn.

‘’Shipwrecked’’ and the excellent ‘’Deeper Water’’ , are among the best here, with the latter possessing all the qualities to make its mark on the dance floors.

‘’Strip Me (Love Make Me Strong) with its R&B vibes grows into something more comfortable, deeper and more intimate.

It isn’t all high-gear dance-pop though. Temporary Hero saves a nice exhale for the final two tracks.

“Doesn’t Last Forever” puts the acoustic guitar at the forefront rather than bass and synths. Temporary Hero sings about how going through a rough patch in life is something ephemeral.

He signs off with a stripped version of Deeper Water, with his voice accompanied by guitars.

Indigo, is an album performed and produced with such careful consideration and allure, that its few shortcomings in pure songwriting terms can go unnoticed. It doesn’t rely on standard dance floor clichés and it succeeds because of its energy and Temporary Hero’s soulful vocals.

Two negs with no constructive criticism seems rough guys. I'm not gonna pos it but it's not that bad that it can't be helped. You've got good points on the review but you break it up way too much. Rather than reading as a single smooth review, it seems like you just took notes and didn't synthesize something cohesive from them. Try to work on ruin stuff together more and people might not neg so quickly.
