Review Summary: Atmospheric ambient music saturated in melancholy.
In
Monument Builders, Morgan seems to have made his way into a city in wreckage. This time, the atmosphere is even more saturated in melancholy than
Sea Island, but texturally it’s quite similar, with the use of glassy and frigid sounding synths that evoke a strong sense of place. His music still largely remains unchanged as he diligently follows his formula of layering percussive synths and field recordings on top of spacey atmospheric sounding pads.
