Ohh Yeah im back with more Helloween for all of you power metal lovers... but im reviewing one of their latest albums "The Dark Ride"...

Helloween - The Dark Ride

Andi Deris - Vocals
Michael Weikath - Lead Guitars
Roland Grapow - Lead Guitars
Markus Grosskopf - Bass
Uli Kusch - Drums

The Dark Ride is a lot darker than all the other Helloween albums.. it is the best produced too.. Andi Deris does a very good job at this album.. and as always instrumentally Helloween never fails... amazing work by all musicians.. a very good album.. one of my Helloween favorites... :naughty: Well lets get straight to the point...

1. Beyond the Portal (Intro) - Super cool creepy intro.. No Rating

2. Mr.Torture (Kusch :amaze: ) - When i first heard this song i was amazed.. incredible piano thing intro.. then comes in the guitars and reely heavy.. and the whole song flows amazingly.. excellent song.. and then when i saw that Uli the drummer wrote it.. i was amazed.. i didnt think a drummer could write a song just as great as this... Wow.! 5/5

3. All Over The Nations (Weikath) - This is the typical Helloween song.. Very melodic.. lot of isntrumental awesome work.. happy lyrics.. a great Helloween song... 5/5

4. Escalation 666 (Grapow) - This is Helloween's heaviest song ever.. its very slow paced.. its got some alrite isntrumental work.. pretty good lyrics.. it works pretty well.. one of the worst moments on the album tho... 3.75/5

5. Mirror, Mirror (Deris) - This is an average Helloween tune.. very heavy.. not close to anything Helloween has ever done.. it sounds different.. very melodic tho and still a great song.. 4.5/5

6. If I Could Fly (Deris) - Many people say this song is one of the best on this album.. but i think its one of the worst moments.. even tho it is a great song.. Very cool piano intro.. good instrumental work.. but i dk.. there is something i dont like about this song .. 4/5

7. Salvation (Weikath) - One of the ebst moments on this album.. this lenghty track is amazing.. Amazing guitar work.. Very cool lyrics.. plust the production is great in this album so this one stands out as the 2nd best on this album for me.. 5/5

8. The Departed (Sun is Going Down) (Kusch) - Uli comes bak to write another song.. but it never reaches amazingness like Mr.Torture.. just an average song.. not reely impressive.. Could be better.. 4/5

9.I Live For Your Pain (Deris) - Very cool dark bass intro.. very heavy .. very emlodic.. cool song.. avrgage Helloween good tune.. 4.25/5

10. We Damn THe Night (Deris) - I think this is Deris' finest moment on this album.. instrumental work is awesome.. amazing harmony solos with guitar and keyboards added.. One of my favorites in the album.. 5/5

11. Immortal (Stars) (Deris) - This song is pretty slow.. i like it very much.. its more like a ballad very good song.. one of the finest moments on this album.. 4.8/5

12. The Dark Ride (Grapow) - Epic closer of the album.. finest moment in the album.. pretty lengthy track.. amazing song tho.. great harmony solo and guitar solos.. amazing instrumental work... amazing lyrics and vocal work too.. everything about this song is great.. 5/5

Thats another review by me.. this is my 4th one on Helloween on the last 2 days... i figured i could bring some Power Metal to this threads.. Helloween is IMO the best band ever... and i rate this album 4.8/5

You've gone Helloween mad. Do a Rhapsody review for the cure.

Indeed one of their better albums, not a classic but there are very few faults with this album, the last track is excellent.

Your review was a little vague but I think you just about got the message across.

my favourite song from this album is "The Departed (Sun Is Going Down)". Especially that powerful chorus.

Album Rating: 4.5

Your rating does not work. If you add all your points and then divide them it doesn't add up 4.8 as you say you´ve rated this record. It's more like 4.5 unless you are also rating the album cover (which I think is great). All in all, this album is amazing, really heavy riffs and good lyrics. Escalation 666 is problably my fav on the album, maybe because it's the darkest song they have done to date. "All Over The Nations" not really my cup of tea, it could've been OK on a previous Helloween record but on this one it is out of place.
