*This album is #199 on the Rolling Stone top 500 albums.
Highway to hell is my personal favorite AC/DC album. Highway to hell was the first AC/DC album to break inside the US top 100 at #17 and was also the first album from the band to reach inside the UK top 10 at #8. Highway to hell is probably most known for its thundering title track anthem, 'Highway to Hell' but behind the title track lies a brilliant album of a band at their peak. Although I LOVE Back in Black and most all the Brian Johnson stuff, I sometimes find myself wondering what it would have been like if Bon's tragic death never took place. R.I.P Bon. On to the songs
Highway to hell
This is the song that got me hooked on AC/DC. What a way to open up an album. The guitar riff in this song is definantly one never to be forgotten. The title has been said to be a metaphor for the band's first tour in the US, although I don't believe many people take it that way. Take it as you will its still a killer song.

Girls got rhythm
Girls got rhythm has always been one of my favorites. Maybe its just because it was one of the first acdc songs I ever learnt how to play. I've always wanted to hear this song live, but it seems as if it doesn't show up on many acdc setlists. Play this song live! Please!

Walk all over you
WOW! The way this song starts out is nothing short of amazing if you ask me. A monster of a song. The musicianship on this song is great. I think the tempo changes in this song really add to it and make it alot better. My favorite on the album.

Touch too much
This was the second single released on the album and rightfully so. A great song. Another 5 star song from Angus and company.
5/5
Beating around the bush
The first four tracks are probably my favorites but thats not to say that the album lets up because thats something Highway to Hell refuses to do. Beating around the bush is another catchy tune that keeps the album going strong. Bon Scott performs very well on this song and really stands out.
4/5
Shot down in flames
Shot down in flames is a fan favorite live and also showcases Bon at his best.Angus' soloing in this song is incredible (like most all of his solos).Although I still like the first four somewhat better, Shot down in flames is another acdc gem.
5/5
Get it hot
Probably my least favorite track here but not a bad track by no means.
3/5
If you want blood (You've got it)
Another great track. The chorus in my opinion is one of the best ever. The story of this song in a nutshell (someone correct me if Im wrong) is best I can remember the band was watching something and the audience wasn't treating some guy too well so the guy said "well what do you want, f****** blood!" Anyways, another great song.

Love hungry man
This song and the song Get it hot are in my opinion the two weakest songs here. But as I said on earlier that doesn't mean theyre bad tracks, just not as good on and acdc type scale.
3/5
Night Prowler
The album started great and it definantly ends great. Night Prowler is a draggy kind of blues song and acdc pulls it off well. A great finish to a classic album.
5/5
Well there ya go. Highway to Hell is definantly an album everyone should own. Bon Scott gave us many great albums with acdc and left us with the best one in my opinion.
5/5 may seem high but I absolutely love this album!
Final Rating: 5/5
This was my first review and I feel like it was a little weak in spots, but im gonna work on that. Any comments, suggestions, opinions would be glady appreciated. Thanks.
