Hey folks! I've been a long time reader of reviews here on Sputnik and I wanted to take my first stab at writing my own. I would love any critiques of the review I posted as I hope to make reviews a recurring effort on my part. Also, if there are any preferred formats you need me to use, please let me know and I'll make the changes as soon as possible. Thank you for taking the time to read!

Came for the album art, stayed for the review. There's a time and a place for more cryptic reviews, and you nailed it (in my opinion). I'll bung a link underneath, really nice work!

Hi Archelirion, thank you so much for your kind words, I really do appreciate it! I completely spaced on adding a link for the album too, so thank you for posting that.

Short and sweet. Love this record. Cryo chamber are ridiculously consistent with the high level of output.

Sounds interesting, I'll check this out. Check out Robin Finck and Wordclock - NOCT and then Wordclock - Self Destruction Themes, they might be right up your alley. He's on Cryo Chamber too.

Solid review. I might check this out.

Yeah, this isn't my thing. Seems like you need drugs to really appreciate this, which I can understand.

@ deezer666
That's great to hear you enjoy this record as well as many others on the Cryo Chamber label. I absolutely love almost every release they have been putting out!
@ insomniac15
That sounds good, I hope you enjoy it! I also need to get around to listening to NOCT, I saw this posted on Spotify recently as well as on the featured reviews page of Sputnik. Self Destruction Themes has to be one of my favorite Cryo Chamber releases this year, I listen to it at least once a day. Thank you for the recommendation and the comment!
@ Apollo
I'm glad you at least gave it a shot! I usually listen to this while I'm at work or writing other sorts of projects. Somehow this music really brings my focus into fine attention. Thank you very much for the comment, I really appreciate it!

I think onyx and the azathoth collab are my faves from this years release. Still a ton I need to check though.

Onyx is beautiful, I need to actually give that record many more spins! Also that Azathoth album is colossal, another great release. Of the releases that came out in 2015 on Cryo Chamber, I would recommend: Metropolis by Atrium Carceri, Aokigahara by Flowers for Bodysnatchers, Helluland by Northumbria, and Earth Songs by Dronny Darko & ProtoU.

No worries, I really relate to your writing style. Well done on the review and looking forward to reading more. BTW, not sure if you watch much tv but a new sci-fi show called the Expanse is out and the album art made me think of it. It's worth checking out.

Thank you, Apollo, it means a lot to me! I'm going to attempt another review here soon.
I actually have not heard of that show before. I'm not too big on television (more so Netflix and that's it), but I will go and take a look. Thank you for the recommendation.

I just got the Metropolis the other day so will be diving into that. He actually did his top 10 dark ambient releases a few days ago so Ill be checking some of those out too. Pretty sure Northumbria was on it.

Oh crap, thank you for the reminder. I have been seeing that list pop up in a couple places on Facebook and I never gave it a read. I will be sure to go check it out!

I listened to some of the Ultimae Records bands (Carbon Based Lifeforms, Solar Fields, Aes Dana, etc.) and I got into this type of music. This is a darker counterpart I find really interesting.
