Review Summary: Psychedelia With A$AP Rocky

Psychedelic. Soulful. Hazy. All these labels and more could apply to A$AP Rocky’s latest album, AT.LONG.LAST.A$AP. Upon first listen, one change is immediately noticeable, the record’s sound. Yes, there still remains the rapper’s signature Houston, lean soaked tempo except it eschews the turn-up, party rhythm recently associated with Rocky. And that is what Rocky has stated his intentions were with this album, a record that would accurately illuminate where he stands sonically and lyrically. With that task in mind, A.L.L.A accomplishes its creator’s wish magnificently.

A$AP Rocky's trippy, bleak second LP is his most polished work to-date....
