Review Summary: The greatest metal album of all time
It's clear that Attila has a lot of fans, and deservedly so. True, the haters will always hate, but a commonplace misconception in society is that people will always fear what they don't understand. Furthemore, Attila is misunderstood; Attila is feared. And their insanely awesome mix of metalcore and deathcore makes them the best band on earth in my opinion. That's why so many boo hoo ass people are afraid of them; because they don't grasp the music of Attila.
Chris, "Fronzilla" Fronzak, the greatest singer and screamer on the world, needs the recognition he is so vastly due. Go ahead and call him a douche bag, but it's obvious that his Snapbacks, his skinny jeans, sunglasses and Vans prove just how well he dresses. His newly launched solo career shows his multi-talented repertoire. And most of all, the music is his top priority. We know he's a stacking the paper, but that's just because he's all about that life. Speaking of it that last album was brutal and above the top that it made my day when I saw them perform at Warped Tour and they put the middle fingers up cause they don't give a f***. This mantra is something we should all live by. The haters and criticizers are just stupid losers who work at McDonald's for minimum wage, and they're so upset with their dumb lives that they like to take all the rest of us down with them and make us feel like we don't belong or have a place in the world.
That said, Attila's "F you" mentality is quickly turning into a staple of the American landscape. Everyone knows Fronz loves to say "suck my f**" because it's what everyone wants and needs to be doing. You can't let opinions affect your choices in any kind of possible way, because that just holds you back from having a good time and being you.
But, how's the actual music? Brutal as hell. "Proving Grounds" has the best rhyming structure I have EVER seen EVER on a musical song. Fronz's raps are the all time high and are really the heart of this sensational album. You can tell Fronz is hustling till he makes major bank, because like I said, he doesn't care about you or your inferior and incompetent opinions because he's all about this life that we, the fans, are trying so hardly to make the world understand us.
"Hate Me" is the best song on the album. His lyrics are so introspective and so personable to me, that im always finding myself sucked in by its magnitude of greatness. For example, Fronz straight up kills it on "Hate Me" with the chorus. "Hate me, you keep your name in my mouth, I'll keep my d*** in your motha while we staring at each otha. Hate me, you keep on payin my bills, im in it just for the thrills, you keep on poppin yo pills." And as soon as I first heard that for the first time, I literally yelled HOLY F*** where does Fronz come up with this stuff and I'm dead serious how does he?
"I Am Satan" and "Don't Be Basic" are other instant classics. They're straight to the point attitude helps move the pace along at an exceptionally infinite magnitude. Going back to Hate Me where Fronz says "Get f**ed" and "hell yeah" are just so personal lines to me. They resonant my own life and how I want to live and to be the best I can be, because life is just one good time, and Fronz makes himself to be the perfect captain of this party ship. "I've Got Your Back" is the other instant classic I wanna talk about, because it shows that Fronz is the most down to earth guy I know and we know he gives back to those around him, and he just wants us to know that he is not only chillin, but also killin and helping us fight to better lives.
I'm gonna make a long story short and say this is my favorite album of all time. This will sit as a benchmark for the future of the heavy metal genre. Nothing can possibly touch this.
