Review Summary: Human was a large risk from Three Days Grace, but it was a very successful one. With a multitude of uplifting tracks, along with its more dark ones, Human offers a newer, fresher experience from Three Days Grace, and proves that Adam was only a member, an You see, rather than complaining about Adam Gontier leaving the band and instantly hating Matt Walst and not giving him any sort of chance, I came into Human with a fresh mindset, no comparisons being made to Adam whatsoever. With this mindset, I was not only able to appreciate Human for what it is, but I can safely say it stands up to all the other Three Days Grace albums. Human was a risk, but it was a necessary one. Matt had to try to slip into the void left by Adam, and he successfully did so, while offering his own special taste. Meanwhile, the other members of Three Days Grace tried to adjust to fit Matt's style, and it was also a successful adaptation, in my opinion. Human went for the more uplifting tone throughout the majority of the album, with songs like "The Real You," "The End is Not the Answer," and "Painkiller." However, songs like "Car Crash," "Human Race," and "I Am Machine" aren't like that. Granted, it's not the darkest Three Days Grace his ever gotten, but it doesn't have to be. That's not what this album is about. Sure, it may be slightly cheesy, but that's nothing new for Three Days Grace. This album is mainly focused on being an uplifting album, with enough variety so it doesn't get stale. Granted, not every song hits it out of the park, with 'One Too Many" being easily the worst song on the album. And even if I'm perfectly open to Matt, I can't deny that Adam is the superior vocalist. However, it's abundantly clear that Three Days Grace will get along just fine with Matt leading the charge, and Adam will enjoy himself in Saint Asonia. And if the Three Days Grace fans can't get over Adam, then it's their loss.

Nice one brostep

What appeal TDG had was lost when the old vocalist left. With that said, the current one just sounds like he's trying to be a more boring Adam. They took no risk, they tried to sound exactly like the did with Adam in the band, and they may have succeeded in sounding similar, but they made garbage material that has no substance.
Also, your review is much too subjective and has no structure. Far too many I's. You're relying on a sympathy card to argue this album's quality. I don't have to feel bad for a vocalist to listen to their work.
| | | If Brostep actually took one for the team that'd be wonderfully magical.

Still say this isn't as bad as Sput consensus say it is.
| | | So many reviews for a mediocre-ass band from what seems to be a mediocre-ass album. Fuck post-grunge/active rock. Let's get back to metal, arguably the biggest genre on this site.
