1. Torn- A general Creed song. Captures their usual sound very nice blending of guitar with the percussion and sudden bursts of metal. 5/5
2. Ode- Heavy guitar intro. A little over dramatized if you understand what I'm saying. Not quite my taste but many people still like it. 3/5
3. My Own Prison- Very simple, but brilliant guitar intro. What makes this song great is the lyrics. It makes my skin crawl listening to it. Guitar emphasizes the singing very well. Mark coulda made this an even more perfect song if the solo wasn't so easy. Competes for my favorite song of all time. 5/5
4. Pity for a Dime- I will probably be an elderly man one day, dieing of heart failure, cancer, age, or manic depression, and on my death bed i will say, "What in the freaking heck does pity for a dime mean?" Nevertheless it is still a great song. I hav no special notes for this one. 4/5
5. In America- A politically based song on America's problems. Not one of Creed's greatest, still exceptable though. 3/5
6. Illusion- Nice bass intro. Slower tempo song, but very heavy. Nice heavily distorted guitar and good drum patterns. Very nice solo by Mark yet again. The Bridge is the best part. 4/5
7. Unforgiven- Scott Stapp can whip up some very good lyrics, and he has a few duds here and there. This just happenes to be one of them. But the guitar is very impressive. The solo is great and the bass following it is very good. 4/5
8. Sister- The intro is, well, horrible. Sound like Green Day or Blink 182 or sumthin. But the rest of the song is very well written. If you can bear the first part of this song, its wonderful. 3/5
9. What's this Life For?- What is this song famous for? For some unknown reason, it was quite a shock for some fans to hear the same person that put on a concert drunk, vomited on stage, and had filed aclass action law suit against him for it, cuss in this song. Very brilliant guitar. Brilliant lyrics. Very good, softer side, deep song. One of Creed's best. 5/5
10. One- obviosly a unity peace song.Usuprisingly Mark pulled out a very nice verse with a good, heavy chorus. Whatever the harmonic sounding thing after the 2nd verse was awesome. 4/5
I still cannot say if this is Creed's best album since all 3 of them are equally unbelievable. I tried to make this as unbiased as I could, even though Creed is by far my favorite band. I have no choice to give but to give it 5/5 for the countless hours i have listened to this cd.
Moderation Note: Based on the ratings given to the individual tracks, I calculated a maximal score of 3.6 given by the reviewer. Hence, I edited the Rating to 3.5/5 - Damrod
