Review Summary: If you canfind the right tracks...go for it...if not...dismiss it
This Album by Thousand Foot Krutch, is given a lot of hate...I agree that some songs on here are less than superb, but this album does have some high points
#1 / The Introduction: just a 60 second introduction (hence the name) instumental is a bit over-used...
#2 / We Are: a bit cheesy...the titles on Welcome to the Masquerade were cheesy, but not the songs...this song reflets some of the awkward and cheesy lyrics that TFK can use...the song is REALLY repetitive 2/5
#3 / Light Up the Sky: not an awful song...it doesn't have much structure or harmony, which is what I hold key in a good song 3/5
#4 / The End is Where We Begin: Actually a great song, TFK has a history of great title tracks...they score yet another...its not a heavy as other TFK songs, but lyrics harmony and rhythm are superb 5/5
#5 / Let the Sparks Fly: I like how they let Joel do his thing here...some great Bass and vocals coming from him...4/5
#6 / I Get Wicked: The most under-estimated song on the album...great riffs, bass, and vocals, harmony is there, so are the lyrics...textbook definition of a good Christian Nu-Metal song
#7 / Be SOmebody : Slow, a bit bland, but decent lyrics...3/5
#8 / This is a Warning: another 60 second thing...not scoring those
#9 / Courtesy Call: See here? this is how TFK should be making their songs...very intricate, talented, and detailed. 5/5
#10 / War of Change: another example of how TFK can do wonders. Reminds me of a good Linkin Park combined with Breaking Benjamin 5/5
#11 / Down: another solid song on this album, good Bass here. Trevor gets intense with his lyrics. I like it. 4/5
#12 / All I need to Know : Awkward lyrics? Check. Instumental suicide? check. how much worse can you come off of some of the best songs TFK has made...two thumbs down and a 1/5
#13 / Fly on the Wall: At least they make up for their last song. lyrics are decent, and instrumentals are also good 4/5
#14 / So Far Gone: I'm not a fan of how TFK tries to do slow songs, but this one works a bit...could use work. 3/5
#15 / The Outroduction: another 60 second thing symbolizing places in the album
overall, this album has hit or miss songs, but also some great ones
