Review Summary: All I ever needed was something I could hold in my hands.

It should be noted that an album that literally stops you in your tracks does not come along often. It should be said that such albums should be held in high regard. It's worth pointing out that when lyrics perfectly recite a laundry list of things that you once more or less verbally delivered to ex-lovers and ex-friends that they accused you of saying insincerely followed by a simple but powerful 'I meant it', it does things to your emotions. Throw Me in the River isn't the kind of album that is a two or three listen ("oh yeah, I love it"), now move on throwaway. It remembers your past through itself. It walks with you and tells you when to halt . It is the flame that ignites emotions you thought you had done a decent job of burying. No. It's not the first album to do this. Fuck no, it won't be the last. But for me, it's the first album to accomplish this criteria in quite a while.

So yeah, it's short. I needed to say my bit about this album though.

your first 3 sentences all start with stuff like "it should be said" and "it's worth noting"... was that intentional?

Thanks Ryus. Sorry if it didn't work, Johnny. Was trying something different. I write a lot, but reviews aren't normally my go to medium, haha.

Gus gives good advice. I'll write a novel next time guys. I just can't do normal length reviews.

Lol, don't take my comments so seriously. Review isn't bad at all, but honestly, if I hadn't heard the album or band before, I would have no idea what this sounded like. I like the personal spin you put on it, but I feel like you could flesh out the ideas just a little more. I'd recommend reading short reviews from dudes like Arcade and Athom to see what I mean. They manage to condense a lot of useful info into a relatively short amount of text while simultaneously making their writing entertaining.

tl;dr: Not bad, but if you try going for the shorter angle in the future, consider going slightly more in-depth.

Preciate it Oranges. Will keep in mind. Arcade does crush a short review, agreed.
