Review Summary: if you heard one you heard them all!
Ever since their 4th debut album which was called the sufferer and the witness, Rise against has been on a stedy decline down the hill. Appeal to reason wasnt any good. Endgame was even worse with no great songs on it! and the Black Market follows in much the same way as the last two predesessors. It just simply isnt really very good.
There is one hilight and you have probably heard it before because it is the biggest single from this album and its called I don't want to be here anymore. I don't want to be here anymore is a very good punk song with a lot of rhythem changes and tempo changes and even some decent lyrics for Rise against.
But then once you've gotten thgrough that one... it all goes to hell! Every other song on the entire album is a sad and depressing attemt to pretend that they are the same as the earlier good albums like siren songs for the counter cultured and the sufferer and the witness.
I feel sorry for Rise against because they are clearly trying to re live their glory days but they shoudl really just hang up the actual hat and go home. This counts epescially as Tim the lead singer because he sounds like his voice has wittered away into almost nothing and needs a lot of auto tune now. It is sad because he use to be so full of life on the albums but not anymore.
