Raging influences from 80's new wave and post punk. The Sounds contrasted a very distinct sound.. that always has an upbeat structure,to their style of playing. The Sounds are one of the most overlooked post punk revival/new wave bands of the modern era. The Sounds being a Swedish band, has a sense of darkness, but also with different twists and pleasures, each song they put out, is asking for more and more. The Sounds' Living in America is a fine debut, it perhaps to be their strongest release to date.. it contains such powerful sequences, excellent musicianship and really groovy songs, that every member strives on.

Living in America, doesn't really have its flaws.. it might not stand out, as in anything flawless, like mind blogging atmospheric textures, not every song really packs the punch like the others do, however it's a very fun record to really pay attention too. It shows how their logical style that can be so loose but also close at the same time, it really shows how a band can use so much versatlity with their writing. The Sounds' talent is pretty straightfoward, they are energetic, courageous and always on precision, ''they show an exhilarating broad of consistency'' Which brings this album together, for its fun purposes and funky swagger with each song it values.

The Sounds at time, were a very young band and not enough time for experiencing different use of unique, sensible enjoyment that brings back nostalgia and it is wonderful for any age. Living in America flows really nicely, it brings back the garagey feel, with amounts of potential for such a young talented band from Sweden, that is always for up for anything, if they put their minds in the right places and never let go, what they preciously hold.

Living in America is a great album for different reasons, the album catches you, with skill, flavor and a sweet style, that is satisfying for their sound and satisfaction. That makes, Living in America.. such an enjoyable record with lots of amusing flavors to it. Living in America will not disappoint you at all, it will keep you dancing and good feels that will hit your soul like no other.
