Review Summary: Could have been better.
Schoolboy Q has always been great on his features without a doubt. It just didn't seem like he had it on this album; I listened to the first couple of songs without a problem but I felt as if I was laboring towards the end. I hate to say it but this album was mediocre at best. With every good thing he did, it seemed as if he just wanted to set it on fire and counter-acted on it with one of many flaws on this album. It seemed like we were taking
Kanye West and putting his 808's and Heartbreak album into his Late Registration album; it just doesn't flow. (In no way am I comparing Schoolboy to Kanye, just using this as a figure of speech). I would've loved to see some better features, though
Tyler, the Creator killed it on "The Purge". His oice was so smooth I would've listened to that instead of some of the gritty/forced lyrics on this album. (Oops.) Good album, but could have been better.
