Even for a first review this is shocking, I mean, you only really have to have ready 1 review in your life to realise 14 lines is barely long enough for a soundoff.

Why do you care so much?

Because Sputnik (despite all its shitty-ass users and trolls) at its best strives to be professional. If you're going to write a 14-line review with 2-line paragraphs, it doesn't look particularly professional. Read some staff/contributor reviews, get a sense of how the writing's done around here, and you'll see what I mean. I have faith that you'll be able to improve rapidly if you have an idea of the writing style, so get going!

I've read very well written reviews on this site (one of the reasons I exclusively use Sputnik for album reviews). I should have worded myself better. "Why do you care so much?" sounded a bit snotty. I found Mad. to be a little unnecessary rude. It was stated that I will improve the review, so "Why post it if it's 30% finished?" wasn't entirely necessary.

Well it was entirely necessary, because I was pointing out the pointlessness of you posting this review (which is only about 30% of a proper review) which has only led to people skim over it and leave sarcastic comments such as "Should be a good thread" and "Pos'd for 1st rev"
If you had waited till you'd actually finished, then you could have posted a review that might actually have encouraged people to listen to the album or provide constructive criticism instead of "my son loves alpacas"

Well, I learned a very valuable lesson. I just spent the last three hours improving the review - just to lose it all. The site had me sign back in after I clicked submit. Any way to get what I typed back?

Nope. You should never use the submit review feature to actually compose your reviews
