First saw passenger on my first TV digibox on a music channel, performing wicked man's rest. Loved them. Bought various singles, EPs etc on ITunes but lost interest with some of the solo stuff from Mike after the band split. That's all changed now with the release of 'all the little lights' which has re-ignited interest along with my daughter's interest in this album. Went to see Mike recently at Nottingham Rock City and he blew us all away. What a talent. He engages the crowd brilliantly and clearly loves music. My only criticism is that it was too short. I just wanted more, more,more....Since the concert I've been checking out everything of his on youtube and just can't get enough of him and it's the same for all of us who went to the concert.
There is so much to like on this album. The lyrics are brilliant, the music likewise and the voice spot-on for this sort of stuff. If I had to pick out a track it would be 'life's for the living' but what the hell, they're all damn good.
In this day and age of plastic pop, this is stand out stuff for music lovers and I can't recommend it highly enough.
