Review Summary: A very solid album, but different from what your used to, as it features heavier riffs and different rhythms.
10 Years, the rock band out of Knoxville Tennessee decided to come back with something a little different in their 11nth year as band, as they experimented with heavier sounds and different rhythms. These can be found in "Shoot It Out", the albums first single. It begins with Jesse saying/singing "shoot it shoot it out 'cause they want it want it now now," and this phrase is repeated many times throughout the song. This phrase repetition is also found in the bridges of a few other songs, such as "Now Is The Time (Ravenous)".
10 Years also implanted big catchy choruses in almost every song, you will find yourself singing along to many songs like "Dead In The Water", "One More Day" or "Running In Place" after only one or two listens. I personally believe this is a nice additive, as it adds a nice, almost, easiness while keeping 10 Years' intricate sound intact.
Although "Feeding The Wolves" is a heavier album, 10 Years did add a few softer tracks such as, "Fade Into (The Ocean)", "Silhouette Of A Life" and (to a certain extent) "One More Day" and "Don't Fight It".
"Feeding The Wolves" while being a very solid release is not what you normally receive from 10 Years. If you like their heavier music, go ahead, you won't regret it. But if you're more into their softer music I'd recommend listening to it somehow first. -Sean McClure (Banonor)
