Ok, I know, you saw the other thread, this is an actual Breakdown of the Album!!! This is going to be an actual review instead of the other crap, don't know what that was so, here we go:

Band: New Found Glory
Album: Catalyst
Label: Drive-Thru/Geffen

This is the bands 4th EP to date and 5th album all together

Intro- Yea, I know, this is a 30 second song, but it's good for being on 30 seconds. Think of it as that intro on that GC Cd. It's NFG's play on their roots, which comes from Hardcore music.

All Down Hill From Here 7/10
This is the kick off song for the NFG and is probably one of the better songs. The first single off the CD, it starts off with some great guitars and kicks into the normal NFG we've known for years. This is a great song, with everything clicking the way it should

This Disaster 8/10
Another good song by the band, begins with some driving guitars and is followed by more mature lyrics from Jordan. The song is everything that NFG stands for, with something new. Like the song before, everything seems to click for them.

Truth of my Youth 7/10
One of my personal faves off the album, the song features some upbeat drumming along with some upbeat guitars. If you're don't like Jordon's voice, you really won't like it on this song. The quicker tempo slows down to a slower pace for the chorus which reflects nicely with the song.

I Don't Wanna Know 5/10
Probably one of the newer styles for NFG. Think of this song as a their version of "Here's to the Night". The band really slowes down the tempo for this ballad about romance. This isn't that bad of a song, something new, I really like the backing vocals they have on the song, but even I have to say Jordan's voice annoys me on this song.

Your Biggest Mistake 4/10
The tempo picks back up with this song. Another one of those songs that reminds you of NFG of old. Maybe a mix of little NGCS and Sticks and Stones. The song isn't the worst, but it's definitally not the best. The worst part is probably the repeat of the chorus, which just gets annoying.

Doubt Full 7/10
The beginning to this track slows down the tempo, but the guitars still sound driving. Another one of the better songs on the album, the lyrics are really meaningfull and really reflect well with the music.

Failure's Not Flattering 4/10
Jordon's voice starts off this song than adds in some guitars. This song isn't as good on this record and I really can't comment on it. The lyrics aren't as good as some of the prior songs and the guitars don't to match as well either.

Over the Head, Below the Knees 8/10
Starting off slow, the tempo picks up a little as the guitars and drums kick in. Another great slow song by the band. Towards the end Jordan's voice is backed by himself, making it seem like a real good clash between high pitched and not so high.

Ending in Trajedy 9/10
A slower song at the beginning, for the chorus, the band picks up the drive and really shows their emotion. You gotta hand it to Jordan and the band on this song as it really takes a hold of you from the beginning. A real Mature song for the band it show's that the band can do more than people give them credit for. Another one of my favs.

At Least I'm known for Something 7/10
A harder edge song, Jordan's high pitched voice blares along with the guitars on it. This is a reall pick up from "Ending in Trajedy" and it takes you back on that whirlwind that was set prior on the CD. Not that bad of a song, although it does have some weak points during the verses.

I'd Kill to Fall Asleep 6/10
Starting off with electronic sound, the beat picks up and drops back into the normal routine with NFG. With medium-paced verses and higher-paced choruses, it's the normal pop-punk song. A natural for the band.

No News is Good News 6/10
Not a fav. of mine, but not that bad either. The guitars start off with a low beat and add in the driving portions not too long into it and than the chorues and than drops back into a break than picks up again. Another normal song from the band, but it stills presents their maturity.

Who Am I 7/10
A really great song to close out the CD. This is high energy song with everything clicking and working like it should. A short time into the song, the beat breaks as Jordan sings "Don't stay this way forever", and than picks up again. This is a great song and they probably couldn't couldn't close it off better.

All in all this is probably the best CD since NGCS. It has it's up and downs, but it really shows the mature side of the band and how they've grown since forming. The band really tries to grib it's audience with emotional songs and driving guitars and I think they've accomplished it well.

:D :D :D :D . I give it 4 smilly faces!
