I have never loved an album so much. This is one of the best albums to come out in the past 10 years. This is the only album that EVERY song could be a #1 Single. JAMES YOU ARE AMAZING

1. High. The song starts out with an acoustic guitar slow then his voice comes in "Beautiful dawn, Lights up the shore for me" then he continues to sing. Then it goes ino the chorus "But now I'm high; running wild among all the stars above.Sometimes it's hard to believe you remember me.
An excellent song one of the best. 4.5/5

2. Your Beautiful. Everone has heard this song and by now your proably sick of it. NOT this song will never get old. It's almost perfect. James Blunt is an amazing songwriter his voice is captavating.
5/5

3. Wisemen. This is another Fanfreakingtastic song from him it starts out with an acoustic guitar picking a few notes and then " she said to me, go steady on me wanna tell you what the wisemen said when they came down from heaven smoked 9-7 all the Sh** that they could find"
This is my favorite song on the CD.
5/5

4. Goodbye my Lover. This song is beautiful in every way. It is an intimate song with James singing and playing Piano. You can almost taste his pain in this song. "You touched my heart you touched my soul.
You changed my life and all my goals.
And love is blind and that I knew when,
My heart was blinded by you.
I've kissed your lips and held your head.
Shared your dreams and shared your bed.
I know you well, I know your smell.
I've been addicted to you.
5/5

5. Tears and Rain. Nothing extremely fancy about this song but its a damn goodone. Like I said its not extremly hard to do but his intricate lyrics make up for it.
I guess it's time I run far, far away; find comfort in pain,
All pleasure's the same: it just keeps me from trouble.
Hides my true shape, like Dorian Gray.
I've heard what they say, but I'm not here for trouble.
It's more than just words: it's just tears and rain.

6. Out of My Mind. Proably the most up tempo song on the CD proably the one that you will like the most. Its got everything Soft Spoken lyrics. Acoustic Guitar, Electric guitar, Aweseome drums. THE BEST SONG ON THE CD HANDS DOWN.

7. So Long Jimmy. This song is good not great its catchy as hell but its not Anything to scream about. "I cant Believe thats its over, We were hanging out on the sofa, thinking how the guitar goes in a song that no one knows."
4/5

8. Billy. One of the most well thought out, most amazing well pu together songs ive ever heard. It starts out with keyboard then drums, Bass, guitar, then slows down for "Billy's leaving today, Dont know where hes goin, Holds his head in discrace he cant escape the truth"
5/5

9. Cry. This is for me, the low point of the Album the lyrics are amazing but not much else. I have seen peace. I have seen pain,
Resting on the shoulders of your name.
Do you see the truth through all their lies?
Do you see the world through troubled eyes?
4/5

10. No Bravery. Last but Definatly not least. No Bravery is another James Blunt/Piano Affair. This is the only song where he gets pissed off. I didnt think he had a mean bone in his body. THIS IS AN AMAZING SONG MAKE SURE YOU CHECK THIS ONE OUT. "He has been here"

AN AMAZING ALBUM DO NOT MISS THIS ONE

I'm going to approve this album since there is technically nothing wrong with it. Feel free to express your opinion and there is nothing wrong with bias since reviews are inherently biased, but be sure you can back up your assertations that James Blunt is "amazing" and that this is an album I would do well not to miss. I would highly suggested editing it and either a) toning down the bias and unsubstantiated praise or b) substantiating said praise.

This album is atrocious in my opinion. I used to think that it was simply mediocre with the odd incredibly dull song, but having been compelled to listen to it many times in its entirety as a result of it being immensely popular in my school common room, I can't recall hearing an album that's so clearly designed to be emotionally sensitive and yet comes across as being so utterly bland and lacking in anything memorable.

This is very boring, much like the singer/songwriter genre itself. Lame.

And there goes any credibility...Your Beautiful is one of the worst cliche love song's I've heard in a while, and his voice get's old very quickly.

No no no no! James Blunt is a modern day joke! His voice sounds like Tim Henman plays tennis! Its feeble, tentative and highly frustrating! I've never given a 1/5 before but this has to be the first! 1 hit wonder, and the hit is probably the most overrated song I've heard ever! "you're beautiful" x50 doesnt constitute good song writing!

Personally, I would never want to rely on such a review if I needed to decide whether to buy it or not. Your bias and obsession for the album comes off so obviously and strongly, that you have no credibility as a real music critic. This Message Edited On 03.24.06

I agree. It's a decent review, if a little bit vague towards the music in exchange for opinions. Good first review, man!
I am such a nice guy!

I dont say it was decent at all. Completely biased, and if your gonna write on that its for a fanwebsite. I'm sorry man but you gotta revise this on a more leveled view and with musicianship in it as well.

Yeah but still, the review is pretty shoddy and if I'm being mean, I'll give the guy some pointers.

1. Presentation. The main problem with your review is that you combine lyrics with the songs and you don't know what's your review. Put the lyrics in a seperate paragraph.

2. Because of your use of the lyrics, it makes the paragraphs seem bigger but as a matter of fact you barely put any info into the actual review. If I never heard this before, I wouldn't even know what the song sounds like or anything. This Message Edited On 03.24.06

I hate him.

Well I don't actually, I just have a general disliking for him, judging only on the singles.

But I have no real desire to pick up the album.

The review is too biased, I'm not a Blunt fan, but to be blunt (oooh that was bad), I'd probably have his whiny English babies anyway.

ok, i dont want to join one of the extremes in sayin OMG THIS ALBUM IS AMAZING, I WANT YOUR BABIES, nor do I want to completly slag him off, although if anything I have to say this is not a good album. The review im sorry to say is also very biased. "Good bye my lover" This is a beautiful song, you can feel his pain, I'm sorry but no! Not only is the entire song is stollen, and the lyric "I know you well, I know your smell" I mean seriously come on james, give us a break... even you can do better than that, and for god's sake cheer up!
