Review Summary: "Though the past, the unwanted memories, are holding onto you All the power in the universe conspires to carry you"

This album right here is possibly one of the greatest and most soulful Futurepop albums ever, and for good reason. VNV Nation are one of my favorite Industrial groups. They are passionate, deep, and know how to get deep into your skin all in one fell swoop. To be direct, Judgement is an absolutely beautiful album, there's so many richly coated synthesizers that are thunderous and spiritually uplifting. The lyrics revolve heavily around regret, yearning, and optimism and are very rewarding to hear. Every song is smooth and dynamic, something that I can barely find in Futurepop anymore.

I would simply recommend this album to anyone who needs something to make them smile. Although the tone of the album is quite depressing, it's somehow brilliantly uplifting and will make you feel dramatically better after each listen. Songs like this include the catchy 'The Farthest Star' to the spacy 'Secluded Spaces' to the emotionally deep 'Carry You' to the hopeful yet sorrow drenched finale 'As it Fades' are all amazingly beautiful songs and easily some of their best.

Basically, there's not a single flaw with the album. There's much, MUCH detail to uncover within the album after each song is finished, leaving you in a state of awe. Like I said, if you're in a gloomy or dismal mood, listen to this and you'll feel 50 times better.

Definitely make your reviews longer and try to avoid the first person as much as possible. I know sometimes it's hard to avoid it, but try I mean.

Damn a 5, eh? I consider this album to be among the duo's weakest.
