This is definetly my favorite Sabbath album. I love War Pigs, Paranoid, Iron Man, and Electric Funeral. If you are a Black Sabbath fan, you should get this CD. Ozzy is one of rocks greatest singers and, he does a great job in this album. Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward also do do a great job.

1.War Pigs: This song starts out with guitar played at a slow pace, then Ozzy comes in singing. Then after some more guitar, Ozzy comesback in and sings about politions starting wars that they dont even fight in and then at the end the "War Pigs" are punished by God. This song shows off how talented Ozzy is vocally. Because of Ozzy's singing in this song, it is one of my favorites and I give it a 5/5.
2.Paranoid: This is one the greatest riff of all Black Sabbath Songs, it isnt very complicated but very catchy. Then there is a great solo midway through the song. This song is about being depressed and insane. This is a classic BS song and gets a 5/5.
3.Planet Carevan: This song has mixed reviews, some people think it is wierd and it's bad, and others really like it. At first I didn' like it, but I've come around and I think it's a pretty good song. It's a quiet song with a strange tone to it.The lyrics are kind of hard to understand, so here they are if you were wondering what they were:
"We sail through endless skies
Stars shine like eyes
The black night sighs
The moon in silver dreams
Falls down in beams
Light of the night
The Earth a purple blaze
Of sapphire haze
In orbit always"
"While down below the trees
Bathed in cool breeze
Silver starlight breaks

The song ends with a good guitar solo, thats my favorite part of the song. I give it a 4/5.
4.Iron Man: This is probaly the most recognizable BS song. It has a easy, but great, riff. Almost everyone knows this song, and those that don't, should. The song is about Iron Man saving mankind, everyone turning against him, then him getting his revenge. This is one of the greatest rock songs of all time. This song definetly gets a 5/5.
5.Electric Funeral: This song is about A-bombs destroying earth and all of mankind. This is a very good song that starts out with a dark and gloomy riff, then later turns to an exciting guitar with very good bass. then goes back to the riff from the begining. I like the way the guitar changes and from one style to another then back to the begining style. It gets a 5/5.
6.Hand of doom: The song starts out pretty slow, then picks up again, then slows down and picks up a couple more times at the end. The song is about doing drugs, and ending up dying from them. This is an OK song, but not great. Nothing stands out in this song, there is nothing special about the singing, guitar, bass, or drums in this song. So I'll give it a 3/5.
7.Rat Salad: This is an instumental song. It isnt very good, there are way better instrumental only songs out there. If you want some good instrumentals, then try: Moby Dick by Led Zeppelin (Which is a great song if you like drums) or The Call of Ktulu by Metallica. You might like this song if you are a huge drum fan, but if you are a huge drum fan I think Moby Dick is better.I give this song a 2.5/5.
8.Faries Wear Boots: This song is about Ozzy seeing faries wearing boots from smoking too much. This is a good song, The solos in this song are very good. And the drums are also very good in this song. The lyrics in this song are kind of wierd, the entire song is about Seeing Faries with boots. I'm not a big fan of the lyrics, I think the concept is dumb and boring, but because I like the guitar and drums, I'll give it a 4/5.
So whether you are a Ozzy fan, BS fan, Rock fan, Metal fan,or anybody, you should check this album out. It's one of my favorite CD's of all time. So hope you enjoy it.
