This is a huge step in the right direction by This Seattle based Quintet. Himsa's first couple EP's and albums mostly gravitated towards Hardcore Punk, Hail Horror definately puts Himsa into the Metalcore genre.
By combining crushing vocals and Supreme guitar riffs into a Metalcore style song Structure and Melody system, Himsa has developed a name for themseleves in the underground metal scene and even a little more gripping to the mainstream audience thanks to MTV's Headbangers Ball. Hail Horror only extends their music career by showing us some of their real talent.

1.) The first song off the album starts with some pretty cool synthesizrs then goes strait into a great intro with headbangable drums and guitars. After the intro it is a steady metal riff throughout the song. Not much of a standout, but it gets better-3/5

2.) Now we come to Sleezevil. Track 2 starts out with a phonominally sung intro. This song is the first song to be recongnized off Hail Horror, and I can see why. Immediate bone crushing riffs and great lyrics. All over good song-4.5/5

3.) Next to come is The Destroyer. Personally, this is one of my favorite songs off Hail Horror. Starts out with an eerie spoken line then BAM!!! In comes a great guitar line. The guitar line is kind of similar to the rest of the tracks, however this song is most definately not. excellant melody throughout the song. Great vocals also-5/5

4.) Pestilance is the next song and my favorite song off the album. This song is just, well, awesome. Great opening riff that shows the melodic side to Himsa. If melodic riffs aren't your thing, do not fear. Himsa brings in the heavyness and brings it well-5/5

5.) Here we are at Wither. This song has a super cool intro with some slow guitar. Again, after the slowed down stuff, comes the headbanging. Consistant riff and drum beat through the song. Great work by the guitarests of this band-4/5

6.) Next is Wolfchild, one of my other personal favorites. A little more melodic, but I was ready for a little more melodic after the onslaught of the eariler parts of the album. Absolutely Awesome guitar work ing this song with some great harmonizing. Superb track-5/5

7.) Seminal. This song's intro reminds me alot of Iron Maiden's Wasted Years intro. Pretty good song. Not the best but not the worst at the same time. The intro and the choruses were my favroite songs on this album-4/5

8.) The next song is They Speak in Swarms. I was really swept off my feet by this one as I was with the rest of the album. Not their best but still much better than ost songs-3/5

9.) Now we come to Calling in Silent. This is about where all the songs started to blend in and i couldn't really ditingush one song from another. However, one thing I could ditingush is the super awesome lyrics. Just great-4/5

10.) The last song just happens to be Send Down Your Reign. Not much of a standout track as was the case with the opener. But, the rest of the album was great-3/5

Pros:- Great Vocals
- Excellant shreeding on guitar
- Melodic songs were phonominal

Cons:- Songs started to sound kind of the same from track 7 on
- Some same sounding riffs

Verdict: Great album. Should be added to any fan of metalcore collection.

Key travks: The Destroyer
Sleezevil
Pestilence
Wolfchild

Probably not, seeing as this is only review and it was submitted just over a year and a half ago.
