Release Date: 2005 | Tracklist

I can accept bands that copy other band's ideas but they do them in a good way. Boys Night Out, after releasing an okay first album, tried to copy Radiohead OK Computer with an album, which is set all in a hospital. I have to say this is one of the worst albums I’ve ever brought. The lyrics are the same thing over and over again and it's like you are listening to the same song. And I am one of the people that just couldn't take it.

1. Introduction
This is one of the most pointless tracks of all time, I guess they tried to copy Radiohead's mid-album interlude entitled "Fitter Happier" but this is a bad attempt to copy it. You just hear a doctor talking about how bad things are going to get, yeah that's a good start to the album. How about getting us into the album by playing MUSIC! I've seen Instrumental openers to album that are okay in my opinion but this is just crap. If this does one thing it sets the theme for the rest of the album: Pointless Songs that weren't even necessary in my opinion.

2. Dreaming
Dreaming is actually a decent song, the guitar riff's are respectable which they are throughout the album but the attempt to scream during the chorus is just totally bland, it doesn't go with the guitar work at all. The post-chorus is very good and I really like it, but why can't the rest of the song be filled with the emotion that the post-chorus carries? It a bunch of crap, and the lyrics if you look them up are repitive and meaningless, all right but not great. 2.5/5

3. Waking
Waking is the same emotional lyrics that make no sense, if he unconscious and about dead in a hospital how is he calling 911? The chorus is all right and the instrumental work is lackluster at best, and it makes this release even more meaningless. And isn't the 3rd track supposed to be one of the best on the album? This song shouldn't even have been on the album the chorus is so repetitive and like in some of these songs they whisper things. You’re trying to establish yourself as a loud aggressive Pop-Punk band! Why The Heck? Why Are You Whispering? The chorus is repeated in different forms, well I guess they thought it was a better than all right chorus, gah this sucks for a third track, 1/5.

4. Sentencing
Sentencing is a bad song. They try to a radical tempo changes like Taking Back Sunday's early songs, but this band is clearly not Taking Back Sunday. The lyrics are so depressing and so stupid that this is an automatic skip. The instrumental work sucks as much as the Charlotte Bobcats in that it will never win over everybody. This song just plain out stinks, and I don't understand how people can get into hearing the same thing over and over again. .5/5

5. Medicating
Everyone give this song a clap, yeah it's finally a good song on this album. The instruments go with the lyrics, the lyrics make since, the chorus is good and doesn't scream, they never whisper and it works out to perfection. Well maybe if someone would have given them music lessons before this track maybe we are looking at a better album. This song can be played on the Radio it's just a good song. Finally, a good song. 4/5

6. Purging
Could we get another good song? No Way. This song is a chorus the whole song and it's sounds like the same instruments over and over again. I honestly think they should have made this album one huge 40 something minute album, because all the songs mean the same thing. The Screaming in this song is as meaningless as Underoath's are Hawthorne Heights in that they don't make the song any better. The ending to this song is something secret and it gets repeated over and over again just like in one of the game's you played in as a kid. And then finally they scream something out. My god, if someone isn't grabbing your nuts there’s no reason to scream, their screaming is just pitiful and I guess their trying to make a point but what their doing is making this already dreadful album even worst. .5/5

7.Relapsing
I enjoy this song every time I listen to it. It's finally a nice, slow song that requires no screaming. Even though the bands lyrics sound like their mumbled but the girls singing in this song is just beautiful. The chorus is great to for this albums concept. I finally have to give hats off to this band because they worked more than one day on a song. And they get a great song. 4.5/5
8. Recovering
A nice little guitar session to start out the song I’ll admit but then it's ruined by the vocals and the drums. And again the screaming. This is yet another bad song about walls. Yeah you look at them all day, and you've explained to us that they are white, so get off the subject. No one
With an IQ higher than 2 wants to hear the same song repeated over and over. Another bad song. 1/5

9. Composing
A good song! They actually jam in this song and the lyrics and the guitar riffs make sense. The rhyme scheme in this song is actually is good, even though it's very emo. But I find that every song on this album that doesn't have unnecessary screaming is good. Good. Just like the bands first album good. 3.5/5

10. Disintegrating
If they did anything for this album they should have taken this song off. The halfway house that we've heard about and the walls we've heard about are repeated over and over again. It gets old just like the pope. I don't know. I've run out off bad things to say about this album. .5/5

11.Healing
When I read the title for this song I thought it was going to be an upbeat song, maybe even a Christian song. But it's somehow has gotten worst. I guess when common sense comes back to this band's lead singer our whoever writes the songs for the album the song get worst. Their is some screaming but not much so I’ll give him another 2 points on a five point scale for that. But the instrumental work were the band attempts a guitar solo is just one of the most dreadful things I’ve ever heard. Even though it only last 10 seconds you just want to close your ears and pray. Pray, that this album will get better. 2/5

12. Dying
I read the song title and said thank god. The album is over! But I had to sit through some of the most non-sensecal music of my life in the last track. The instrumentals are horrible the singers voice is even worse. And we get are old friend the doctor to talk to us. Enough said. .5/5

Overall:
A man who is usually positive about albums reviewed this album. But with this [the lower form of pop-punk] I just couldn't take it. I was up lifted by the other review that said the band tried to play their instruments; yeah the key word is trying. And the band fails miserably. This is like having to sit through a bad movie that you wasted your money on. I suggest you leave this movie early. The album is definitely a trainwreck.

You must be joking, almost every recorded album in history has an instrumental opening.

I think you're being harsh here.. This album is good, at least within the pop-punk genre... I don't think it's nowhere lower than a 2.5-3..

beyondtheblueprint I understand what your saying about the intro, yes most songs do have a instrumental song for an opener, but this song has lyrics and the lyrics are just a doctor saying things and it makes no sense at all to me.

It's called an introductory track. Have you ever heard of a concept album. This probably isn't one, but if you thought a bit about it, try and see how it relates to the rest of the album. They didn't throw it in there for no reason.

I've heard of a concept album but this is a very bad concept album, and it's been done so many times , and its been done better.

You're overreacting. You gave the album a 1 (you just updated it to a 1.5), and you gave most of the songs above 2s. You don't need to go crazy just because I provided some informational comments.

I'm not going to try to say this is an incredible album or anything, but it's definitely better than a 1.

Also, those Radiohead comparisons are completely ridiculous. Not only do both albums sound entirely different, but if you think the concepts are similar, then you have completely missed the point of one album or the other.

The only real similarity you've found is that they are both set in hospitals and you even got that wrong since the majority of Trainwreck takes place outside of a hospital.

Even if it were set entirely within it though, the comparison has no ground. It's like saying that the Flaming Lips ripped off The Who's Tommy when they made Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots just because both albums are set in the future.
