Review Summary: A new metalcore band with amazing talent; if they weren't an Asking Alexandria knock-off.

Make Me Famous, a new band signed to Sumerian Records, whose claim to fame is from something that makes everything famous: the Internet. It seems everything is coming from the internet, and this band seems to be one of the flops of the 21st century. Their sound, if I can even say is theirs, is that of Asking Alexandria, only from the Ukraine. It seems MMF has modeled their sound heavily after fellow Sumerians AA, and seems to be all the same: a huge pile of crap.

As stated before, the band was made famous (no pun intended) from the internet. Clean singer Denis Shaforostov is well known as the Youtuber "above92", posting vocal covers of other post-hardcore and metalcore bands. After obtaining a cult following, he decided to promote his band and push his internet fame towards them.

The band self-released their EP "Keep This In Your Music Player", and received a much bigger mass following, later inking a deal with Sumerian. And here we are now, one bland album later and you have the biggest knock-off band in metalcore history. Not only do the songs sound the same, they incorporate that infamous electronic synth sound, akin to Attack Attack!'s debut.

Not only are do the drums sound programmed (which they probably are), but the guitar work isn't that good at all, sticking to the typical chug-a-lug-lug sound in drop D and C. The vocals are O.K., but the only decent thing about them are the lows, and they aren't even that great. The bass is absolutely inaudible, and I can't stand the synths, something I wish they never used in the first place. But I give them credit for having the likes of Tyler Carter come on, someone huge in the clean vocal's industry.

All in all, it's not an album I would even consider to get. If you want to listen to a band like Make Me Famous, stick to Asking Alexandria. Although some good moments here and there, not an overly impressive album.

review is sketchy but its your first so, first up, you should focus less on the background and expand more on what the album sounds like, dont just say its metalcore like AA.
